[00:00:01] Speaker A: Welcome, friends and adventurers, to another episode of Dungeons and Blaggards. I am your dungeon master, Robulon. Joining me in no particular order are the players. Tomo. [00:00:17] Speaker B: I am playing Steve Tehuman, Level 5 Gloomstalker. Ranger Fighter, Level 2, Rogue, Level 1. I have an owl. [00:00:27] Speaker A: Brandon. [00:00:29] Speaker C: I am Ekurook Puneshlay, Level 8 Blood Hunter, half orc. And I have breast enhancements. [00:00:39] Speaker A: Brayden. [00:00:40] Speaker D: Hey. I'm Braden. I play Beleg Degar, half elf. Hexblade warlock, level eight Eric. [00:00:48] Speaker E: I'm Eric. I play Dr. Zozo brightfeather, a level eight aarakocra artificer. [00:00:54] Speaker A: And last but not least, Caleb. [00:00:59] Speaker E: I am the construct, Kaitoa Tata. And I am a level 8 warforged barbarian. [00:01:10] Speaker A: Previously on Dungeons and Blaggards Two of the party are immobilized after the encounter on the steps of the Temple of Dan, but for different reasons. Kaitoa stands motionless, as he's prone to do when transfixed by his homing stone, which Steve recovers and discovers to be a lodestone made of the same material that the party is quickly accumulating an inventory of these small lodestones. [00:01:43] Speaker E: Rook. [00:01:44] Speaker A: The reason is he is almost dead and full of mud. And up he goes to the third floor. And this is where you are now, party, except for Kaitoa, who has been left downstairs like a statue in the front entrance. Here. The tarp has been rolled down. The bodies of the white chain, not the white chain staff have been removed. And Kaitoa, you are actually sitting at the bar now with Engo, Oldfoot and Vodog. The giant axe rests between you against the part of the bar that hasn't been destroyed. And the rest, the rest of the party is upstairs. So, Kaitoa, you've reached for that axe. [00:02:39] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:02:39] Speaker A: Okay. [00:02:40] Speaker D: Fuck. What was our last beat exactly? Fuck. [00:02:44] Speaker A: I'll bring you back to it. But in this moment, Kaitoa, you were startled by the sound of ravens and shrieking and battle right outside the tarp. And this is what awakened you out of your slumber. And there you walked immediately over to Oldfoot, who is in his shield guardian armor. But yeah, Beleg, Zozo and Rook, you immediately wake up because you hear the sound of. [00:03:25] Speaker D: Again. Thought we killed these fuckers. [00:03:27] Speaker A: You have cornered the last raven up here in the third floor owner's floor, because of course, there is no door now. And Steve, you come running up the stairs and now you also have joined. So Zozo has pinned this raven on the one side of the corner and of Bartio's old office. And Beleg has pinned it. You dimension door it up there. [00:03:56] Speaker D: Beleg. [00:03:58] Speaker A: You pinned it to the other side. So it's sort of behind Bartio's old desk. [00:04:05] Speaker E: We had, like, he did like a pincer attack kind of thing and trapped it. [00:04:11] Speaker A: And, you know, you burst up there. Steve. And then Rook, you would be waking up as well. And there is a large raven being cornered by three of the party members. [00:04:25] Speaker C: I guess. [00:04:26] Speaker E: What do I need to do to. [00:04:27] Speaker C: Get rid of all this mud out? I mean, cough real hard and try to clear it out. [00:04:32] Speaker A: Or roll me a nice solid con here. [00:04:36] Speaker C: My con's 16. [00:04:39] Speaker D: What are you rolling on, right? Or what are you recording on? [00:04:42] Speaker A: A potato? [00:04:43] Speaker D: Sounds like it. [00:04:45] Speaker E: Potato sounds like you're on a walkie talkie. [00:04:49] Speaker C: I'm actually on the can with a string. [00:04:54] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. And Rook, guys, just sounds awful. And although you are mostly restored, Rook, your chest really hurts. You feel like you have had some ribs somehow, like, magically mended, but you feel as if you have had parts of your rib cage broken, Rook. And as you sputter, there is some red clay and red mud coming out. But, yeah, the good Dr. Zozo did a number on you. So you jump out of your cot. Yeah, you're okay. [00:05:28] Speaker C: Can I spring you into action? [00:05:30] Speaker A: Yep. Do you want to join the party in Bartillo's office with this. This large raven? Heck yeah. Okay, party upstairs. What are you doing? We're gonna sort of deal with this. And then, Kaitoa, start thinking about what you are doing. As I'm gonna tell you, Engo's hand has also reached out for Vo Dog. [00:05:52] Speaker D: Oh, Engo's in his armor too, isn't he? [00:05:55] Speaker E: Yeah, because you guys decided it would be a good idea to put this guy in his armor. On it. [00:06:02] Speaker D: We were down two players, man. [00:06:06] Speaker E: So leave the cripple alone. [00:06:10] Speaker D: We like him. [00:06:13] Speaker E: Obviously, you shouldn't. [00:06:14] Speaker B: We can always kill him again. [00:06:17] Speaker C: Ever. He's my caddy. [00:06:19] Speaker D: I like. [00:06:21] Speaker E: He's about to get cut in half. [00:06:23] Speaker D: Oh, my God. No, don't do that. We've had to talk you off this ledge before. [00:06:28] Speaker A: Okay, I would like everybody to roll a quick initiative on this raven who is up there. Give me a roll. Give me initiative. Kaitoa, you're gonna be rolling initiative against Ango Oldfoot. [00:06:40] Speaker D: Ooh, that's a terrible initiative roll. [00:06:44] Speaker E: I might have to break Ango's arms. [00:06:46] Speaker D: That's. That's a four for Beleg. [00:06:49] Speaker B: I got a 2217 for 222. Jesus, Steve. [00:06:55] Speaker D: That's the worst Initiative roll you've ever rolled. [00:06:58] Speaker A: And a. [00:07:02] Speaker B: 19 for stolas. So stolas goes first. [00:07:04] Speaker E: 16 for coachoa. [00:07:07] Speaker A: Old Foot got 14. Zozo, Rook, who has the higher natural initiative? [00:07:14] Speaker E: Mine's three. [00:07:17] Speaker C: My initiative's two. [00:07:19] Speaker E: But I nat 20. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Oh, nat 20. I guess we'll take it. So, Rook in the pole position. Zozo on deck. Then we have Steve right after Stolas. Beleg, you are last to act. And then, Kaitoa, you have beat Oldfoot in initiative. The Raven is the only one who hasn't ruled yet. Oh, terrible. [00:07:44] Speaker D: Not worse than Beleg five, but better than Beleg. [00:07:48] Speaker A: Yeah, plus one. So six. Rook, you are first to act as you charge into the room here in your orc nighty. What are you doing? [00:08:00] Speaker C: I guess do a quick perception and survey what the situation is. [00:08:05] Speaker A: Okay, roll a perception. [00:08:08] Speaker C: I pull the ballet. [00:08:09] Speaker E: 3. [00:08:12] Speaker D: Hey, buddy. [00:08:14] Speaker A: There is mud in your eyes and fog in your brain and your chest hurts. But what you can see is this. The party has cornered a menacing looking. Oh, is that blood on the beak of this raven? And as you look over at Zozo, there is blood seeping into the robes that Zozo wears. These folks have been in a recent battle with beaks. [00:08:46] Speaker C: I'm gonna pull out my voltaic machete and Bergen's blade and go after him. [00:08:51] Speaker A: Okay. From you'll need to just advance five feet up. You can either kind of jump over Bartillo's table or scoot it and you'll roll on AC. [00:09:01] Speaker C: Oh, I'm jumping. [00:09:04] Speaker A: Okay. [00:09:06] Speaker C: My first one. 16. [00:09:09] Speaker A: That will hit this raven. [00:09:12] Speaker C: Second one is a 13. [00:09:16] Speaker A: As you surprise the hell out of this raven and chop it in twain, it doesn't really matter what the damage you roll is. This was the last slice of a swarm of ravens. Oh, raisins would be delicious. [00:09:32] Speaker D: Swarm of raisins. [00:09:35] Speaker A: I made that slip. [00:09:37] Speaker D: Here comes the oatmeal. [00:09:40] Speaker A: Roll damage. But I mean, your floor damage is more than four, but roll damage? [00:09:45] Speaker C: That's going to be 16. [00:09:51] Speaker A: And the raven is dead. Guys, Rook has just charged into the room and with the voltaic machete, chop this thing right in half before your eyes. [00:10:02] Speaker D: Well, that's not what we wanted to happen, but that works. [00:10:06] Speaker C: Adding it to the new menu. [00:10:11] Speaker B: Let's make fight milk. [00:10:14] Speaker A: Speaking of that, Kaitoa, the shield Guardian huge gauntlet hand that's almost as big as your hand is on the just lower part of Vodog as you grasp it away. So now you're holding Vodog you are first in initiative. [00:10:35] Speaker E: I do. I want to this guy up. I guess you guys like him for some reason. [00:10:41] Speaker B: Just like flip it over and bonk him. [00:10:44] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna go for a grapple. Yeah. [00:10:50] Speaker D: Curious to know what the the strength of this armor is, Ma, Your party. [00:10:57] Speaker A: Put me in this. And I said I wanted to crush something and wield something. I wanted to crush a beer and wield a pint glass. Come at me, fool. I have a plus two to grapple checks. [00:11:17] Speaker E: I'm also going to. [00:11:20] Speaker D: Don't fucking burn an inspiration here. [00:11:22] Speaker E: No, I don't have any. But, you know, reckless attack though, because then I get advantage strength Jack. But yeah. What do you want me to roll? The strength, I imagine. [00:11:40] Speaker A: Yes. Let's see. As you propel yourself off the stool. Roll of strength. [00:11:49] Speaker E: Ooh, 23. [00:11:52] Speaker A: Okay, I'm gonna take that to be the entire move that you're doing. So what you want. What you want to achieve is you're grappling him, but in what way? What is your precise goal as you lunge at him? [00:12:06] Speaker E: I'm gonna do like. Like a wrestling spear. Like to spear him off the chair. Like I'm gonna dive through him trying to land on him. And I believe with you only have to use one free hand. And I still will get my second attack on him. [00:12:22] Speaker A: Okay, well, he rolled. He rolled to counter you, but not that good. It was close though. And you have caught him off balance. He's tipping off of his stool as the combined weight of you and him is sending you onto the floor. So you have him grappled, and now you would say he is prone on the ground. You have him grappled, and yes, you have a hand free. What are you doing? [00:12:52] Speaker E: I'm punching him right in the face as hard as I can. [00:12:57] Speaker A: Are you punching him with a kaitoa fist? [00:12:59] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [00:13:00] Speaker A: That's like a heavy mace. [00:13:03] Speaker E: Yeah, he's. He's drunken ass is gonna regret. [00:13:06] Speaker A: Can you roll one D8? [00:13:09] Speaker E: Sorry, guys, I have to do this. Any addition, I get my attack bonus, right? [00:13:16] Speaker A: You would add your regular damage modifiers to this hit. [00:13:21] Speaker E: Oh, so it'd just be my plus three. Okay, so a six. Whoa. [00:13:27] Speaker A: And this sends most of his teeth flying onto the floor. Kill me now. Construct the death I wished for. Why not I under the headsman's ancient blade and he holds his neck out before you. [00:13:50] Speaker E: Not today, dick face. And I just keep him grappled on the ground. [00:13:55] Speaker D: Not today. [00:13:56] Speaker A: Yeah, and his breath smells dank. And now you hear him calling for some sort of candy. I want more of the drinky. Drinks candy. It lets me drink more and party upstairs. You hear a commotion. You know now because there's a huge hole in the white chain. You can hear very well what is going on down in the foyer. It is a fracas. [00:14:25] Speaker D: Fracas. [00:14:26] Speaker B: Fraka. [00:14:27] Speaker E: Fracas. [00:14:28] Speaker B: A fracas. [00:14:31] Speaker A: You hear these shouts of Engo and you hear these steam blasts of Kaitoa and stools being turned over. [00:14:40] Speaker B: Kaito is awake. [00:14:41] Speaker C: Rook's gonna go down there. [00:14:43] Speaker E: Yeah, I'll switch. [00:14:46] Speaker A: Everybody goes down Scooby Doo style. Each character has sort of a repeating 16 frame side scrolling motion as you, party of four, go down through the second floor of the white chain, past all the ruined floors and rooms, and then past the intact floors and rooms. And there's Kaitoa over Aengo, delivering what looks like a huge blow to the face. Oh, there go half of Engo's teeth. [00:15:23] Speaker E: You reach for my junk. [00:15:27] Speaker D: Belak just throws a face palm up. Just like. Oh my fucking God. [00:15:33] Speaker C: What are you doing? [00:15:34] Speaker E: My caddy, the cripple went for my weapon. [00:15:38] Speaker C: He's got no hands. [00:15:40] Speaker E: He does in this armor. [00:15:42] Speaker B: Yeah, he does. He's in his armor. [00:15:43] Speaker D: Yeah, we put him in his armor. Needed help. You guys were sleeping. [00:15:49] Speaker E: He got put in his armor and left to drink. And then he reached for my weapon. [00:15:53] Speaker C: That's what he gets, I guess. [00:15:55] Speaker E: Put him on his ass. Fair enough. [00:15:58] Speaker B: Yeah, I think Steve's already naked again. [00:16:03] Speaker C: We can put him. Is he out for the hurt in the Hurt Locker? [00:16:07] Speaker E: Hey, there's armor. [00:16:09] Speaker B: Rob, is this. Is this dwarf, like hammered? Is he gonna be useful to us or is he just like a drunken piece of right now? [00:16:16] Speaker E: What do you mean? [00:16:20] Speaker D: Yeah, but he's a useful drunken piece of. I like Ingo. [00:16:24] Speaker C: Your last fight. Yeah, he's my caddy. [00:16:27] Speaker E: All right, well, you keep. Keep an eye on him then. [00:16:31] Speaker C: Damn right I will, but I wouldn't have put his armor back on him. [00:16:36] Speaker D: We need a little down two people. [00:16:40] Speaker B: Spray him in the face. [00:16:41] Speaker A: No, no, I'm gonna walk over. Okay, Rook, as you begin to go over and undo the attachments to Ango Oldfoot and the Shield Guardian armor. Yeah, this. This guy has Steve. To answer your question, he has undone the miraculous effects of the Werther's Zozo Original Hangover Cure candy. And it looks like. Oh my. Has he drained a third of the tankard of Chintadoo ale? Probably so. [00:17:22] Speaker C: Dirty son of a bitch. [00:17:23] Speaker A: While you guys were engaged with the flock of Two ravens. [00:17:28] Speaker B: He's just crushing pines. [00:17:31] Speaker A: He was crushing pints and wielding ale glasses. Guys. No, he's. He is out cold. If he wasn't already two sheets to the wind, he has been knocked unconscious, and his, yes, mouth is just full of teeth and blood. [00:17:49] Speaker E: I'm gonna gather up those teeth and put them on a shelf behind the bar. [00:17:56] Speaker A: Okay, Rook, you have successfully undone him from his little wall does and contraptions. And yet you see his sort of. His little strange leather forearm gauntlets that allow him to pass you a sword now and then. You see now how he manipulates inside the Shield Guardians. You yank him out and you collect the teeth. Kahtoa. [00:18:20] Speaker C: Yep. [00:18:21] Speaker E: Just like, don't mess with the house. [00:18:24] Speaker C: I'm gonna sling him over my shoulder and take him upstairs and put him. [00:18:29] Speaker E: In the Hurt Locker Room. The bed. [00:18:33] Speaker A: Lovely. Okay, no, nonsense, Rook. You have gone and deposited him into the Hurt Locker beside the nice painting. Have you updated that painting? [00:18:43] Speaker E: No, but all the. Are there still construct parts in the Hurt Locker? [00:18:49] Speaker A: There are two bundles. [00:18:51] Speaker E: Ye like to go up and take those out. [00:18:54] Speaker A: Okay, he is now empty in that room, and it looks like, you know, for the most part, passed out. [00:19:02] Speaker E: Did we take the mimic chest out of there? [00:19:05] Speaker B: Yeah, it's on there. [00:19:08] Speaker E: It's out of there. [00:19:09] Speaker B: Yeah. It's not there. [00:19:10] Speaker E: Okay, so the Hurt Locker should be empty now. [00:19:14] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, as Rook and Kaitoa return downstairs. [00:19:19] Speaker B: Oh, if it's gonna be no use to us, then he might as well shit his pants in the Hurt Locker. Steve wants to. Steve's just wondering if he's gonna have the same ability that Nafrey did to crawl his ass out of the Hurt Locker. [00:19:33] Speaker A: Oh, I see. Dr. Zozo and party at large. The fact of the matter is, as Zozo can confirm, and as everybody knows, there are two ways into the other side of the third floor there. One of them is right through the Hurt Locker. And in fact, you know, the reason that the Hurt Locker doesn't have a is it's more of a throughway into the Danger Room. And that tiny slice of brick in the back there is the real way you should be going in and out of Steve's Danger Room there as opposed. [00:20:12] Speaker D: To, well, you know. What? [00:20:13] Speaker A: Scampering out on the eaves. [00:20:15] Speaker D: I said all of this with my mute on and nobody heard me. [00:20:20] Speaker B: Well, whose fault is that? Braden's fault. [00:20:25] Speaker C: We can always hog tie him. [00:20:29] Speaker B: Yeah, other than, how do you hog. [00:20:30] Speaker D: Tie someone with no limbs? [00:20:33] Speaker C: I'll show you. [00:20:35] Speaker D: You can't. You can't Hog tie him. He's got. There's nothing to hog tie. There are no wrists, there are no knees. He's got no nubbing. [00:20:44] Speaker A: Like as you just as you discuss whether to go reassess the conditions of Engo Back Caddy Oldfoot's imprisonment in the Hurt Locker, which is sort of. You realize it is sort of not secure. It is only a semi secure thing. [00:21:03] Speaker D: Brook, why don't you put him back on your back? [00:21:07] Speaker E: Kaitoa thinks we should be back. [00:21:11] Speaker A: You guys start hearing lots of crowds out in the plaza of the Temple of Dan. You hear all sorts of voices and the chorus of commoners and carts. What is going on? [00:21:29] Speaker D: Instead of trying to deal with this drunken idiot, like putting him into the Hurt Locker, drop him to your back, Rook, where he performs best. We gotta go to the castle. We've got Emma's. And the other bird. [00:21:43] Speaker B: The raven bird over there's being taken. We need to go. [00:21:49] Speaker D: We need to. [00:21:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll put him on my back. [00:21:51] Speaker D: So, like, yeah, anger was the last thing we have to worry about. Put him where he's good. Put him where he's useful. [00:21:57] Speaker C: He is the new Herschel model. [00:21:59] Speaker D: We need to figure out how to get up to the Wizards Guild to save he robbed. [00:22:05] Speaker C: Can I just make a note that with my new Herschel backpack. Ango, I am rolling up my pant legs. [00:22:12] Speaker A: Oh, you can make a note, all right. You're going to regret this half walk. [00:22:18] Speaker C: Rook now has a beard and glasses and rolls up his pant legs. [00:22:24] Speaker A: Yeah, love it. [00:22:26] Speaker E: Hipster Ruck wearing his new Herschel Ango model. [00:22:32] Speaker A: Man, he's back on your back party. As you're suiting up, you hear tons of movement and crowds and shouting from outside. [00:22:43] Speaker B: Good. Shouting. [00:22:45] Speaker A: Yes, Steve, as you would hear, it seems very inquisitive. It doesn't seem like screams of death. [00:22:53] Speaker E: Okay, Robin, before we head out, I'm gonna take Naf's wooden amulet and open up my chest and kind of put it in my centerpiece. [00:23:03] Speaker A: Katoa, you're talking about Nafre's wooden amulet. Well, yeah, You've had this all along. And even now, the jumble of parts sort of hovers nearby you. [00:23:15] Speaker E: Yeah, and I'm gonna unbundle the extra parts that we took out of the Hurt Locker. [00:23:22] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:23] Speaker B: Before Steve forgets, he's gonna pass Kaitoa his lodestone. [00:23:31] Speaker E: Thank you. [00:23:32] Speaker A: It makes a couple of blinks as he passes it to you, Kaitoa. And as it faces to the south, it is clearly blinking green. [00:23:45] Speaker E: All right. [00:23:46] Speaker A: And all These bundles of parts now. Yeah. Where did you say you were stashing this amulet away? [00:23:54] Speaker E: It's gonna be in my like center chest piece. Kind of just mounted my chest. [00:24:01] Speaker A: And parties, you see. You know Kaitoa now with his cloud of parts in the foyer. Here you have the shouts from outside. They're clearly. They're kind of joyous and you hear a lot of. What is that? There's music, it seems starting to be played. [00:24:17] Speaker B: They celebrating the Ponchant day of independence. Very interesting. [00:24:24] Speaker A: Yeah. So, Kaitoa, all the parts now clatter to the floor. [00:24:28] Speaker E: Yeah. Zozo can like, obviously these things are based on sight. I want to find a way if I can mount it for my chest piece, kind of like a necklace. But I need it to be mounted so it can't come off but visible. Are you able to like keep your. Your compartment open? I can't really keep it open. I just eat it like basically welded to my chest. So I need to like. Yeah, I basically need to have like a metal harness around it and then fuse it to the outside of my chest. Okay. Do you have your soldering gun? [00:25:09] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:25:12] Speaker A: Dr. Zozo, do you have mending? [00:25:15] Speaker E: Yes, I do. [00:25:17] Speaker A: What is the description of mending? [00:25:20] Speaker E: Okay, mending. So it repairs a single break or tear in an object that I touch, such as a broken chain link, etc, etc. As long as the breaker's hair is no longer than one foot in any dimension, you mend it, leaving no trace of the former damage. [00:25:37] Speaker A: Okay. Well, if you destroy a part of yourself, Kaito, if you shear a big cut, theoretically you could mend this thing into you. [00:25:50] Speaker E: All right. Yeah. Yeah, let's try that. Hey, Nick, cut me. [00:25:58] Speaker A: What would you like to roll as you experiment with ancient construction? [00:26:06] Speaker E: Which one of us? [00:26:07] Speaker A: I would say the good doctor and Kaitoa, you sort of, you know, indicate what you would like to happen here. And are you breaching your own surface here? [00:26:21] Speaker E: I don't really have something small to do it with. Like, need one of Steve's daggers maybe. [00:26:29] Speaker A: Okay, Steve, you have been called to operate. [00:26:32] Speaker B: Yes, Steve will do it. [00:26:33] Speaker A: Okay. You can lend the help. Action. So Zozo, you have advantage on anything you roll. Steve is helping nurse Steve. Boy scout. [00:26:41] Speaker B: Steve, is. Is Kaitoa facing me? [00:26:46] Speaker A: Well, he must be displaying the part he wants you to shove this thing into. [00:26:51] Speaker E: I. I'm basically telling Steve to like gouge my chest so I can fit this piece inside and then mend it inside my chest. So I need about an incision in my chest about the size of this medallion. [00:27:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:27:10] Speaker B: Steve will kind of like hold his thumb up a little bit, just kind of get the look and feel of it and then chuck a dagger at his chest. Yeah. [00:27:19] Speaker E: Zozo helps find the right side spot. Okay, should be good here. Again, can I maybe enrage just so I have resistance? [00:27:34] Speaker A: Well, this is action packed surgery. What'd you get, Zozo? [00:27:38] Speaker E: I rolled 24 on medicine. It's kind of like surgery. [00:27:45] Speaker A: So yeah, that medicine skill is really helping you over that. 20 DC. And you know what? As your wound closes, Kaitoa, the owl doctor hovers over and seems to be mending the wound into the wooden dowel amulet. And it is fusing in sweet. Okay guys, in this moment, Rook and Bellic, you're looking out the front door as these guys perform a little quick dagger and mystical surgery back here. You see the market in front of the temple of Dan has filled with commoners and there are carts there. And it seems like the excitement that has been looked for in Polb has been found. [00:28:39] Speaker D: Uh oh. Because they're terrified of all the death. [00:28:44] Speaker F: We heard there was excitement here and it's like big monsters and squishing of people. Sandwiches. Sandwiches. Flowers for the dead. Flowers for the dead. [00:28:59] Speaker D: God, I hate hulb. Hulb is like Facebook. Yeah, but it's our Facebook. [00:29:10] Speaker A: And Kaitoa, as you interrupt the signal, you know, now as you have a sort of midway point between the construct parts being attracted to you, you find these things are controllable and they are sort of now enveloping you in the cloud. And you may find that this gives you temporary hit points and party. Dr. Zozo and Steve in, as Kaitoa now turns around and the parts which are all still jumbled, right? It's complete randomness. Kaitoa is transformed. He does not look like the ancient construct that you guys know so well and in particular was depicted on some of those Black arrow documents, you know? Now Kaitoa looks like this strange amalgam of parts, but you know, on the inside it's Kaitoa. [00:30:16] Speaker E: Cool. [00:30:17] Speaker B: He's starting his buffalo bill skin casing. [00:30:21] Speaker E: Yeah. Would you like a size 10? [00:30:26] Speaker B: Fuck me. Nice. I do. I do like that you're taking parts and like attaching them to you. [00:30:36] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. So I'm gonna basically open up and absorb as many parts as I possibly can. [00:30:43] Speaker A: Okay. Well, you seem to have about three of the bundles and all of the parts seem to be attaching to you, but all of a sudden at the fourth bundle, you seem to run out of material. Magnetism. There is no signal left for the final bundle. [00:30:59] Speaker E: Okay, what temporary hit points does that add? [00:31:03] Speaker A: You have increased your weight by 300 pounds. Bigger, boy. They are carrying their own weight. And in fact, they will bear their own weight. It's sort of like a symbiotic creature that has enveloped you, and you will find it will give you a temporary hit point. But it is based on what your hit dice is. So what is that? Is one of your hit dice D12. You have 12 temporary hit points while this is on you. [00:31:37] Speaker E: Okay. And I don't know whether they can fall off or. [00:31:41] Speaker A: Their combat effectiveness is yet to be tested. [00:31:45] Speaker E: Okay. Hey, guys. I can fight anything. [00:31:50] Speaker D: Well, let's go fight the whole wizards guild. [00:31:54] Speaker B: Let's get at her. [00:31:55] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:31:55] Speaker E: I think we've got some things to fight, so. Yeah. [00:31:59] Speaker D: Should we go to the castle and kill Ravenvok? [00:32:04] Speaker E: We should definitely go to that castle. Yeah. [00:32:07] Speaker D: I always forget that dude's wraith. The Cucamonga. [00:32:13] Speaker B: All right, if Steve hasn't done it already. I think he probably already has, but he's swapping his. His poncho to urban mode. [00:32:22] Speaker E: Urban sombrero. [00:32:23] Speaker B: Yeah, putting my urban sombrero on. [00:32:27] Speaker A: Okay, guys, as you leave the white chain, Shorva bids you farewell. And it seems like she has just finished doing the tally of the dead. You know, you remember it well. And she bids you farewell. And the rain has stopped. There is still that eastern wind. There's quite a windstorm. But all the rain has gone away. Now it is a bright mid afternoon. The market is full, and I missed. [00:33:03] Speaker D: The rain down in shin. [00:33:08] Speaker A: Shut the up. And as you guys pass the temple of Dan, there are some Danites out there. And yeah, it does seem like there's a lot of grieving going on. [00:33:22] Speaker B: Some dandies. [00:33:24] Speaker D: Ah, the dandy grieving. [00:33:27] Speaker E: Oh, they're dead people from the. [00:33:31] Speaker D: Yeah, there is a fair amount to grief. [00:33:34] Speaker C: That's not to grieve. Come on. [00:33:38] Speaker D: Don'T say that out loud. This is a like weird. [00:33:45] Speaker F: Quartermaster. Quartermaster, would you like a den witch? [00:33:50] Speaker C: No, I'm full, but thank you very depends. [00:33:54] Speaker D: Is it like a Cuban? [00:33:56] Speaker A: The. [00:33:56] Speaker F: The God in Nandro favors a baguette sliced in half with folded meats on it. I am one of his disciples. I. I call it a danwich. [00:34:07] Speaker E: Questionable meat source. [00:34:09] Speaker B: Yeah, first we kill them. [00:34:12] Speaker F: Quartermaster, would you all want your party like a fortune reading? [00:34:17] Speaker D: And you are being. I kind of want a damage. [00:34:20] Speaker E: Okay, let's go. [00:34:21] Speaker A: Robbed. [00:34:22] Speaker F: No, it's for the dead. [00:34:25] Speaker C: We've got to head to the castle, deal with Some just throw a handful. [00:34:29] Speaker D: Of silver down and let's run. [00:34:32] Speaker E: Yeah, just throw anger at them and go. [00:34:37] Speaker D: No, he's your caddy. [00:34:39] Speaker F: I can monologue for hours. I'm great at crowd control. [00:34:44] Speaker C: No, you're coming. My best. I was only kidding. [00:34:48] Speaker E: Let's. Let's throw Ango through the portal and see where he goes. And then let's pull him back with a rope. [00:34:55] Speaker A: The party, you know, has all of, you know, these sort of exciting Pulbians up in their face. Because of course, you're all people of notoriety here, but are you pushing past? Hugill Castle is in the background there. And, you know, you can actually see, you know, the Kenku's tower there. It does appear that around the Kenku's tower actually are some flocks of ravens. You can even see from here. [00:35:24] Speaker E: Yep, that's fish there. [00:35:27] Speaker D: Yeah, I want to go to the Kenku tower. [00:35:30] Speaker B: Steve is stealthified. [00:35:32] Speaker A: And. [00:35:32] Speaker F: Yeah, a sandwich for Dan. Flowers for the dead Raid. [00:35:39] Speaker D: Your Zozo takes to the air, throws a handful of silver in their direction. [00:35:44] Speaker C: Not silver, copper. [00:35:46] Speaker D: Come on, dude. I have more silver than copper. [00:35:51] Speaker E: Okay, throw some coins at him and let's run. [00:35:54] Speaker D: Yeah, I throw 10 silver at them and say, sorry, we don't need anything, but thank you for your efforts. Clean this fucking square up. And I throw. Yeah, 10 silver up. [00:36:08] Speaker F: Tis the new administrator, clearly. [00:36:11] Speaker C: It reminds me of the scene from Happy Gilmore with the misa misa. [00:36:17] Speaker B: Misa. [00:36:18] Speaker A: Okay, well, beleg quite diplomatic there. And you actually seem to give the party that moment where everybody's dashing away and belak. Yeah, you stay that final moment to give some semblance of authority and dispensing of coin. And you know, the Pulbians just love coin. [00:36:36] Speaker D: They're easily bought. And then we keep going. Let's go kill the Kenku. Let's go fucking search Hugel castle. Let's go find Emmaus. Let's go to the wizards guild. Let's go save Mickey. There's so many things to do. [00:36:52] Speaker A: As you guys run. Beleg is just going on and on. And you play. You pass through the plaza of Polbe and you go up to the castle gates. And the castle gates are open. And as you enter into the castle, you hear the sounds of battle. You hear swords striking against each other. Both coming from outside in your courtyard and the stables and the smithies and also from inside in the towers. What is going on? [00:37:24] Speaker C: I gotta pull my swords out and be at the ready. [00:37:27] Speaker A: Okay, party in general is your marching order. Are you guys all within 30ft of each other? [00:37:33] Speaker D: Yep. [00:37:34] Speaker E: No, I'm in the air above them. Like 10, 15ft above them. [00:37:38] Speaker A: Okay. As you have approached the castle here, you have now, you know, passed through the outer wall which connects to the inner city of Polb. And remember, the Hugo castle is surrounded 360 degrees by city. It used to be at the perimeter of old Polb, but now Polb sprawls all around it. And so this city, locked castle, is where you now see two factions fighting each other. And can everybody roll group perception? [00:38:13] Speaker E: Robin, with my vision, would I get advantage on this? [00:38:17] Speaker A: Yes, you would have advantage on perception rolls as you scan and try and figure out who's fighting who. [00:38:22] Speaker D: Belleg got a 17. [00:38:27] Speaker E: 15 for Zozo. [00:38:30] Speaker A: Okay. [00:38:31] Speaker C: Rook got a 17. [00:38:33] Speaker A: Okay. [00:38:33] Speaker E: I only got a 13. Okay. [00:38:36] Speaker B: 19 for Steve. [00:38:37] Speaker A: 19. Okay. It is Sergeant Sandra Men. The quartermaster's men in their city soldier garb. And they seem to be fighting the castle wardens. Knights. Right? With their blue outfits and their rune pea shaped shields. They seem to be fighting. And you actually see Sergeant Sandwood. He is in the fray. [00:39:10] Speaker D: Children. [00:39:10] Speaker C: Yeah, man. [00:39:12] Speaker E: Who's in the fray? [00:39:13] Speaker A: Sergeant Sandred. And you know, the city guard seem to be fighting with the castle guard. Oh, and Zozo, you up in the air, you notice up around the Kenku's tower, there are like two swarms of ravens kind of just sitting up around there watching the battle. [00:39:36] Speaker D: Birthday boy. They'll figure out what the fuck's going on. You're the like the premier military authority in the town already. [00:39:45] Speaker E: My heavy crossbow. [00:39:48] Speaker C: I'm gonna approach the combat and address the quarterbackers men and the castle guards and just say what does the mean meaning of this? [00:40:00] Speaker D: I'm staying close to Rook in case he gets hairy. [00:40:03] Speaker F: Godmaster. Rook, there's trouble in the castle. [00:40:09] Speaker E: No shit. [00:40:10] Speaker C: What trouble do you speak? [00:40:12] Speaker F: Abductions of the Administrator. Your little gnome friend. [00:40:21] Speaker C: Why are. Why are the castle guards fighting you? [00:40:25] Speaker F: Mayor's dead. He's been crushed. Nobody's in charge. So we came to the castle. You've returned at the right time. [00:40:38] Speaker A: And he gets shot by an arrow right through the shoulder. [00:40:43] Speaker C: I'm gonna yell at the castle guard. Stand down. [00:40:48] Speaker D: Yell louder. Authority down. [00:40:52] Speaker C: Do not attack. [00:40:54] Speaker A: Rook. Can you roll a charisma based skill as you hold Bergen's blade aloft? You do have the eyes of a lot of these knights of the castle. In particular, there is the castle warden, right? This Dwarvish lady in full armor. [00:41:14] Speaker C: One second. Just having a coffin fit over here. [00:41:18] Speaker A: That is a minus two. And Rook coughs No. And Bergen's. [00:41:25] Speaker D: I will give him inspiration. [00:41:29] Speaker C: I've got Bergen's blade. That gives me a plus two. [00:41:32] Speaker A: Gonna negate that? No, I'm just joking. [00:41:36] Speaker C: It's a 15. [00:41:37] Speaker A: Oh, that is right on the nose. Okay, well, in the moment, the archer who shot Sandred is looking awfully sheepish. [00:41:46] Speaker C: I'm gonna stare at him and just glare. Why would you do that, Stan? [00:41:52] Speaker D: I want to hit him with some elder. [00:41:54] Speaker E: I was gonna say I got this heavy crossbow ready. [00:41:57] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:41:58] Speaker D: This guy. Yeah. [00:41:59] Speaker B: Say it belleg. [00:42:00] Speaker D: I do. I'll just blast. I'll elder splash. [00:42:03] Speaker A: Okay. Beleg. Can you roll on AC and are you using repelling blast party? Is there anything else you're doing in this moment? Because it's tense and there are still a couple people with their, you know, swords about to fall and arrows that are about to be loosed. [00:42:21] Speaker B: Steve is holding onto his attacks from the shadows until. [00:42:25] Speaker A: Okay, okay. [00:42:26] Speaker D: So before I just like randomly shoot, Belak stops and looks at everybody and it's like we're on the same fucking team. Don't be fighting each other. We have common goals. You and I pointed the guy that that killed Sandra. Shouldn't have done that. [00:42:47] Speaker F: I'm not dead. I'm very resilient. Ouch. [00:42:53] Speaker D: You're close. [00:42:54] Speaker E: We see how far the ravens are away. [00:42:57] Speaker A: They're about 60ft up. Like the Kenku's tower is directly above you guys. As you have charged into the courtyard. Like you're right at the entrance to the castle. These ravens are almost directly above you and they're looking down at you. They are looking down at you menacingly. Kaitoa, as you assess your crossbow range. [00:43:18] Speaker D: 17 is my roll. [00:43:20] Speaker E: Oh. I look back up at them menacingly. [00:43:23] Speaker A: Okay, so party. You're now starting to identify those ravens. And guys, the ravens are swooping down at the party roll initiative. [00:43:31] Speaker E: Oh yeah. I was gonna say, since I'm like readying a crossbow, you'll have surprise on them. [00:43:37] Speaker A: So in fact, let's see here. [00:43:41] Speaker D: Am I rolling damage? [00:43:43] Speaker A: Who are you blasting? [00:43:44] Speaker D: The guy who killed Sandra. Like he. [00:43:47] Speaker A: He tried to pre raven attack. Can you please blast that? That is a castle guard. [00:43:58] Speaker D: Yeah, who shot the wrong guy. 12 damage plus 20ft of blast back. [00:44:06] Speaker A: Well, he's gonna be able to survive that. But you hear a sickening thud as he's blasted back behind the parapets. And you are now beleg witnessing two swarms of ravens come down at frightening speed towards you and the party. However, Katoa is loosing a shot and as well. Who else said that they looked up and saw the ravens. Zozo, you will also have surprise on these guys. Steve, you said you were holding an action. [00:44:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I was just waiting at the ready from a stealthy position. [00:44:45] Speaker A: Okay, so Rook and Bellic will say that you guys. Rook, you were definitely engaged there, and you have caught the eye. You definitely de. Escalated the moment. And Rook, you are looking directly at that castle warden. And from behind her plate mail. And she wears like this fearsome ceramic dwarven dragon mask. She seems to be drawing a crossbow of her own on Uruk. She's pointing a little hand crossbow directly at you. [00:45:18] Speaker D: Do we see the Kenku? You see? [00:45:21] Speaker A: No, you do not. You know, that's the Kenku tower. But no, it's just these swarms of ravens. Right now there are four windows to this tower. You can assume this is. I mean. Yeah, you can assume. [00:45:31] Speaker C: How far away is she from me? [00:45:33] Speaker A: Only about 15ft. Like you were right up there kind of talking at the front lines. [00:45:39] Speaker C: Okay, Well, I rolled 16 on initiative and I will. If she's pointing that anywhere coming up towards me, then I will. [00:45:49] Speaker A: Okay, Kaito, up. Roll on AC. There are two swarms of ravens. [00:45:55] Speaker E: Yeah, I got 21. [00:45:59] Speaker A: Okay, that hits roll damage. [00:46:05] Speaker D: For. [00:46:05] Speaker E: Okay, so I'd never, never used a crossbow before. What modifier do I add to that? [00:46:12] Speaker B: What damage? [00:46:14] Speaker E: Yeah, stacks. It's dex, not strength, right? Yeah. Okay. [00:46:19] Speaker B: It's a deck. It's dexterity to hit and dex bonus for damage. [00:46:23] Speaker E: Okay. [00:46:24] Speaker A: Dex bonus for damage too. [00:46:27] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:46:27] Speaker C: You're not using. [00:46:28] Speaker D: You're not. [00:46:29] Speaker B: If you're throwing like an ax or a javelin, that's. That's like the. [00:46:32] Speaker A: You're using strength. [00:46:33] Speaker B: Strength of your arm. If you're shooting a bow or using a crossbow, then it's the. The dexterity of the characters. [00:46:39] Speaker A: That makes sense. Yeah. The accuracy. [00:46:42] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:46:43] Speaker A: What's your dex? Kaitoa. [00:46:46] Speaker E: It's a plus two. [00:46:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:46:50] Speaker E: Oh, so my attack bonus is a dex as well? [00:46:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:46:55] Speaker E: Oh, okay, so it's a 17 for my attack. [00:46:58] Speaker A: Still hits. [00:46:59] Speaker E: Okay, and then the damage would be an eight. [00:47:04] Speaker A: Okay, well, you feel like you have pierced two of these ravens right against the wall of the castle. You're huge crossbow bolt. What else in your move? Crossbow. Unfortunately, this bad boy can only be loaded once. Ooh, that reload. [00:47:21] Speaker B: Using a crossbow. It's got that reload element to it. So you can only shoot it once. [00:47:27] Speaker E: I guess I'll just reload. [00:47:30] Speaker A: Okay, Zozo, what would you do in this moment at range? You got two swarms of Ravens? [00:47:38] Speaker E: Yeah. How far away are they? [00:47:41] Speaker A: They're between sort of 30 and 60ft. They're diving directly down from the Kanguz Tower at you. Down. Down along the stone castle wall. [00:47:54] Speaker E: I think I'm going to. I'm gonna fly up towards them and toss a trusty alchemical fire. [00:48:06] Speaker A: Okay, so you're gonna actually launch yourself up towards them. Close the distance, launch that fire. Okay, what does that look like? And. And what do you need to roll or what do they need to roll? [00:48:17] Speaker E: They need to do a dexterity saving throw. So I'm gonna. I basically just start flying straight up, like we're going directly at each other. When I get within distance, I stop and just toss the basically Molotov cocktail right into the swarm. [00:48:37] Speaker A: They're making a saving throw. I say dexterity. [00:48:41] Speaker E: Yep. [00:48:43] Speaker A: That is an 11. That's not gonna do it because we're. We're trying to always beat your 14. [00:48:50] Speaker E: Yes. [00:48:51] Speaker A: And even 11 plus two decks is not gonna do it. So full damage. You've caught one entire swarm of ravens midair. Deal that damage. [00:49:04] Speaker E: Okay, that's 10 deaths image. [00:49:12] Speaker A: It is terrifying. Again, you hear the cause and the burning and igniting of feathers. And Steve, you are up next as you're sort of the last one who's getting a drop on these ravens in at range. And then they are going to be guaranteed attacking the party in melee range. [00:49:32] Speaker B: I'm not attacking the ravens. I'm gonna put a dagger in that. That dwarf. Yeah, whatever. [00:49:42] Speaker D: The. [00:49:43] Speaker B: The ceramic face chick. [00:49:45] Speaker A: Oh, the. The castle warden. Okay, roll on ac sweet. [00:49:51] Speaker B: So first attack. That is 18 plus three for 21. [00:50:01] Speaker A: That hits. [00:50:05] Speaker B: So that is seven five for 12, plus 10 for 22. [00:50:13] Speaker A: Okay, 22 damage. And you have caught this person unawares as a dagger flies out and, you know, probably bypasses her mask somehow. Oh, maybe one of these daggers has gone in through an eyelet. [00:50:32] Speaker B: I guess I'm actually going to put a mark on her as well as my bonus action. [00:50:38] Speaker A: Right, Hunter's mark. [00:50:40] Speaker D: Yep. [00:50:41] Speaker B: And then I'm going to throw a second one. I think with this one, I want to less damage. If I could forego the. The extra sharpshooter damage to disable her crossbow. [00:50:54] Speaker A: You're aiming for the hand crossbow in her hand. [00:50:59] Speaker D: Yep. [00:50:59] Speaker A: Okay, Disarming hit. Yeah. [00:51:04] Speaker B: So that is a 19 plus 3. 22 pedal hit. And that is 8 plus 5 for 12. [00:51:19] Speaker A: Okay, well, you have struck the crossbow and her hand. [00:51:23] Speaker B: Okay, one more just for good measure, I guess. [00:51:26] Speaker A: Okay. [00:51:29] Speaker B: That'S gonna be another 21 that hits. And three plus that's five again. Plus eight. 12. 12 plus 10. [00:51:43] Speaker A: 22. 22 piercing damage. Okay. Dagger. Steve, anything else in your move? [00:51:52] Speaker D: Nope. [00:51:52] Speaker B: That's it. [00:51:53] Speaker E: Okay. [00:51:53] Speaker A: You have elected here to just engage this person and Rook, it's like daggers are flying over your shoulder. [00:52:01] Speaker C: Hey, I'm still going at her. [00:52:04] Speaker A: Rook, you turn around. [00:52:07] Speaker E: You. [00:52:07] Speaker A: It is your move. All of these daggers have flown into this dwarven castle. Warden, you look around. There are two swarms of ravens heading down right at you in the party. [00:52:23] Speaker C: Hey, I am going to attack her with my initial two tanks going straight. [00:52:31] Speaker E: To kill this shit. [00:52:33] Speaker A: Okay, there are. [00:52:34] Speaker E: Do you guys have any history with her? Nope. Nope. [00:52:39] Speaker B: Steve understands if you cut the head off, it generally means that the the rest of the body follows. [00:52:46] Speaker D: We're like. It seems we. We are reasserting dominance right now. Yeah, we're making. [00:52:53] Speaker E: We call a power move. [00:52:54] Speaker B: We're making some. Some stuff. [00:52:56] Speaker D: There's a civil war and we're being like we're in charge. False. Don't fight each other. [00:53:03] Speaker B: In the same way that we've done staffing changes at the white chain, we are now also doing the same thing. [00:53:09] Speaker D: Except last staffing change at the white chain involved a golem. [00:53:16] Speaker C: Okay. So my first one's a 24. [00:53:20] Speaker A: 24 will hit this heavily armored dwarf. [00:53:25] Speaker C: The second one is an 18 that will not hit. Oh, dirty. [00:53:32] Speaker A: And so deal damage on. Are we hitting first with Bergen's blade? [00:53:38] Speaker C: We're actually hitting first with the voltaic machete. [00:53:41] Speaker A: The machete. [00:53:43] Speaker C: That's gonna be an eight. [00:53:46] Speaker A: Okay. Do you have a second attack? [00:53:50] Speaker C: Well, I'm gonna use my voltaic charge. [00:53:54] Speaker D: Oh. [00:53:54] Speaker C: It was another eight. So 16 total. [00:53:58] Speaker A: You have crashed through this person's defenses. And although they are heavily armored, after the daggers you come in, you charge in. You've dealt a mean blow, but like warning, Rook. There are two of these Pulbian Hugill Castle knights here that. Are we within your 15ft. But holy shit. Is there anything else? Are you going in for another attack? [00:54:26] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm gonna do my Burning Hands. [00:54:29] Speaker A: Burning hands. [00:54:31] Speaker C: That's a 15 foot cone. Any creature in the range must pass a dexterity saving throw or take 3d6 fire damage 4 because I'm another level up. [00:54:47] Speaker A: Okay. How are you targeting them? [00:54:52] Speaker C: Well, I want to make sure I get her, but as well anybody that's the close like closest around me. [00:55:00] Speaker A: I just said there were two people within 15ft. Well, you could get one of those Hugill Castle knights as well. Yeah. [00:55:08] Speaker C: So whichever one's kind of cool. Close as I hit her as. [00:55:13] Speaker A: Okay, so roll your D6s. Three D6 or four? D6. [00:55:18] Speaker D: Four. [00:55:18] Speaker B: Oh, do they. [00:55:20] Speaker C: Did they do their deck saving? [00:55:22] Speaker A: They will do a deck saving through. [00:55:23] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:55:26] Speaker A: Either 12 or 13 beat your spell. [00:55:30] Speaker B: DC 12 meets beats. [00:55:34] Speaker C: So they got one got 12. Got 12. One got 13. [00:55:37] Speaker A: One got 12, one got 13. [00:55:40] Speaker C: Oh, so if they succeed, they take half as much. [00:55:45] Speaker A: Oh, both succeeded. Oh, okay, well, they're somehow resisting this cone of fire. But roll up those 46 and I'll have it. [00:55:53] Speaker E: They hide behind that girl. [00:55:56] Speaker C: We've got 10. 16. [00:55:59] Speaker A: So, 16 halved. [00:56:03] Speaker C: Yes, sir. [00:56:04] Speaker D: Eight mathematically. Just so you guys know. [00:56:12] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:56:12] Speaker A: Rook. Con of fire blasting out. Anything else in your move? [00:56:17] Speaker C: Well, I still got one sword in my hand. [00:56:20] Speaker A: I'm glad you brought me. I'll just piggyback on your initiative. [00:56:26] Speaker C: Oh, does Aengo? Did he do his initiative? [00:56:30] Speaker A: You bet. Passed you those weapons. [00:56:34] Speaker B: Quartermaster Grievous. [00:56:38] Speaker A: Kaitoa, you see this happen, you're gonna be on deck after the swarm of Ravens target you. Kaitoa. 17. I don't think any. To add a modifier. You are not in the 17 Club. [00:56:57] Speaker E: Nope. [00:56:58] Speaker A: And beaks coming at ya. 2D6 double fives now. Have you. Are you enraged in any way? [00:57:08] Speaker E: Not yet. [00:57:09] Speaker A: Okay, so you take 14 damage. [00:57:15] Speaker E: Okay, so there goes my temporary hit points. [00:57:19] Speaker B: This shears a chunk of those things off. [00:57:22] Speaker E: And I take two damage then. [00:57:25] Speaker A: And Dr. Zozo, 15. [00:57:32] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, that hits. [00:57:35] Speaker A: These beaks are coming at you. 2d6. 3 and 2 is 5, plus 4 is 9 damage. And now, party, you are surrounded by two swarms of ravens. Their numbers are indeterminate and their beaks are bloody and sharp. Kaitoa, you're up. [00:57:58] Speaker E: Okay, I am going to start off by enraging and then. Fuck. They're super close now, aren't they? [00:58:13] Speaker A: Both are within melee range. I kind of see that you and Rook are kind of over on one side, maybe engaging one swarm of ravens. And then Steven, Zozo and Beleg are sort of just a little bit off, away from that dwarf with the ceramic mask and engaging the other swarm of ravens. [00:58:35] Speaker E: In fact, I can't use this crossbow now. That was a waste. I should have enraged. Damn it. Yeah, I guess I'm going to pull out. Go, dog. And swing away. Yeah, I'm just going to aim for a. A black crowd of ravens and just swing right through it and see what I can hit. [00:58:58] Speaker A: Roll on, ac. Batter up. God damn it. [00:59:04] Speaker E: One. [00:59:05] Speaker A: A critical fail on. What's that? Your first attack? [00:59:10] Speaker E: Yep. [00:59:10] Speaker A: You Swing all the way through the air, and you do a 360, and you've lost your balance a little bit. You do not hit a single bird. [00:59:24] Speaker E: Then the cat. [00:59:29] Speaker A: And there is an alley cat that has run out from Hugill Castle. And in the midst of battle, there is meowing. [00:59:40] Speaker E: Just like Jackpot. And for my great weapon attack, it is E14 for attach. [00:59:51] Speaker A: Double hit. [00:59:53] Speaker E: Sweet. Okay, so hitting with Vodog. Oh, that's fucking lame. What? I got 2 plus 579 damage. [01:00:11] Speaker A: You have connected with half of the swarm. [01:00:15] Speaker E: And then there's also the Vodog thunder damage. [01:00:18] Speaker A: Okay. And do they roll a con? [01:00:21] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, they gonna beat my con. [01:00:23] Speaker A: Of 12, seven seven. And that is a seven minus one. So they. [01:00:30] Speaker E: And they're doing an added six thunder damage. [01:00:37] Speaker A: And three of these ravens explode in a shatter of sort of electric static thunder. [01:00:48] Speaker E: And then my bonus action. I'm gonna fucking do some Kris blast. [01:00:54] Speaker A: All right. You see the opportunity to try your Cris blast cone. [01:00:59] Speaker E: Yeah. Which is 1D4. [01:01:02] Speaker A: Yep. And they'll just roll a dex to get out of the way. Let's see, they have 14 plus two decks, though. Oh, it's rolling. Oh, it's 14. They beat it. So half. Okay. [01:01:16] Speaker E: Oh, they take half damage. [01:01:18] Speaker A: They take half. [01:01:19] Speaker E: I. I rolled a 4. [01:01:21] Speaker A: 2 damage. Okay, so just as you deal these blows, Kaitoa, the remaining crows caw and snap at you, and your cold blast just misses the remainder of the swarm. Okay. After Kaitoa. Oh. Sandred and his men are fleeing as the crows spend. And, sorry, the ravens spend a little beak time on them. Sandred and his men are simultaneously sort of fleeing from the beaks, but most of them have not re. Engaged with the castle guard. I mean, the. The lines of battle here have been completely blurred, and there's no more of the clashing of swords between the two factions of soldiers after that. Okay, so rook Katoa, Sandra and his men. So we got Steve, and then we got Beleg, and then Zozo. Where were you? Who's 13? [01:02:27] Speaker B: I actually forget Stolas was 12. [01:02:30] Speaker A: Oh, Stolas is lowest. Okay, so then how about this? Steve Beleg. Zozo. Somebody was 15. Somebody was 13. Unfortunately, I just don't know who. Steve, you are up. [01:02:44] Speaker B: Dwarven chick is still up. Oh, yeah, we are. We are doing this. We're fighting. [01:02:52] Speaker A: Yeah. And around you, two swarms of ravens still, although one much depleted. Okay. [01:02:59] Speaker B: They are not in combat, like, close combat distance. [01:03:04] Speaker A: Well, with you. Yeah, there are. There are. There are some swarming right around you. And your poncho. [01:03:11] Speaker B: So they're within five. [01:03:12] Speaker A: Oh yeah. [01:03:13] Speaker B: Okay, if they are attack. If they're within 5 all my range doesn't work. So my dual short sports pop out and I'm gonna attack the crows. [01:03:25] Speaker A: Okay, you're trying to slice and dice at close range. Okay, what is that gonna look like, Steve? Two rolls on ac. [01:03:34] Speaker B: Two rolls and then I get an offhand. [01:03:36] Speaker A: So using your bonus action for the offhand. [01:03:39] Speaker B: Yeah, Correct. Okay, so first attack on the crows. [01:03:44] Speaker D: Ah. [01:03:44] Speaker B: Is a nat20. [01:03:46] Speaker A: Oh, double your damage dice, double damage. [01:03:49] Speaker B: So that's 2d6. So that's 5. 5 for short sword damage plus 3 for 8. Second attack 15 plus 6. 21. [01:04:06] Speaker A: Okay. Yep. [01:04:08] Speaker B: It's 4 plus 3 for 7. [01:04:11] Speaker A: Okay, this is all on swarm 2. This is all on the swarm that is sort of on you and Zozo and Beleg. Close range. [01:04:18] Speaker B: The one that's in close range. Last one is a non natural 20. 14 plus 6. And that is 3 damage. [01:04:29] Speaker A: Okay, well, you hear the wings about you beating and shrieks and caws. Anything else in your move? [01:04:41] Speaker B: No, we're. I'm in close combat, so I'm not moving. [01:04:46] Speaker A: Belling, you are up. [01:04:50] Speaker E: Is the swarm dead? [01:04:52] Speaker A: Both swarms have been seriously depleted now, but both swarms persist flapping around the party and going in for beak attacks. [01:05:03] Speaker D: Like seriously depleted. [01:05:05] Speaker A: Yeah, you would say Swarm 1 and Swarm 2 look like about like one third. [01:05:12] Speaker D: Okay, then I will elder splash both of them. One each. [01:05:20] Speaker A: Okay. One to each. [01:05:21] Speaker D: Yep. First one. 16 or 14. Sorry, 14. [01:05:27] Speaker A: Yeah, that hits. You're trying to beat 12 these guys. [01:05:32] Speaker D: Yeah. You want me to roll one each for the. For each blast, right? [01:05:37] Speaker A: Yeah, certainly. Yeah, yeah. [01:05:39] Speaker D: They both hit. [01:05:41] Speaker A: Okay, each swarm is getting blasted. [01:05:48] Speaker D: I only rolled the two worst possible rolls. That's a. That's a big old one damage and a blowback of 10ft to the first party. And a big old two damage and a blowback of 10ft to the second party. [01:06:03] Speaker A: Sorry, how much to the second party? [01:06:06] Speaker D: Two. [01:06:09] Speaker A: And blasted against the wall. Well, guess what? The second party is decimated. Yeah. You blast these remaining birds against the wall of Hugill Castle and they splatter against the wall. [01:06:28] Speaker D: That makes my shitty rolls feel so much better. [01:06:31] Speaker A: However, the first group still remains and several of them are definitely within striking distance of the party. And Belak, anything else in your move? [01:06:46] Speaker D: Nope. [01:06:47] Speaker A: Okay, Dr. Zozo, swarm one is still alive. [01:06:54] Speaker E: Okay, I am going to. I think I'm going to pull out a crossbow bolt and coat it with a bit of poison. [01:07:07] Speaker B: And Then fire. [01:07:08] Speaker E: It at the swarm. [01:07:10] Speaker A: Poison tipped crossbow bolt. What does that look like? Is that gonna add damage right on the tip? [01:07:18] Speaker E: Yeah, it does. The. Basically, I can coat a weapon with any of my instant reactions. So I'm using the poisonous gas reaction to coat. To coat the tip of it. So it's gonna do. If it hits, it's gonna do 2D4 plus 4 damage. [01:07:34] Speaker A: You want to finish these guys? Roll on AC. [01:07:38] Speaker E: All right. I rolled a 12 meets. [01:07:44] Speaker A: It beats it. So 12 hits AC. [01:07:48] Speaker E: Okay, 2D4 damage resource. So that's 8 damage from the poison and then 1V8 from the crossbow bolts, which is 4 total. [01:08:04] Speaker A: 12? Yep. Zozo, can you describe how you finish off the swarm of raisins? Raisins? [01:08:14] Speaker D: Yes. [01:08:15] Speaker A: How maybe they turn to raisins? [01:08:17] Speaker B: Just dunk those glossettes, man. [01:08:21] Speaker E: I think the. Yeah, the crossbow bolts just skewers one of the ravens, and it just kind of explodes in a poison cloud that the rest of them. They all just kind of fall to the ground. [01:08:42] Speaker A: And you see the ravens asphyxiating and finally shuddering and convulsing and dying. And party. You are now out of initiative. Because in this moment, Rook is the only one engaged at melee range with the Dwarven warden. But everybody else has kind of fleed the battlefield. So here at the entrance to Hugo Castle is the dwarf warden in melee range and exchanging blows with Rook. To her left is one knight of the castle who has been burned in that cone of burning hands. And to her left is an unmolested knight. Rook, you're the only one in initiative and party. That is where we'll have to leave you tonight. Until the next time on Dungeons and Blackguards. [01:09:44] Speaker C: Damn it. [01:10:06] Speaker E: Sam. [01:10:46] Speaker D: God damn sirens. I've been making so many jokes. [01:10:50] Speaker A: Oh, Bell Egg. [01:10:52] Speaker B: All the jokes that we'd missed. [01:10:54] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:10:54] Speaker D: Yeah. You guys would have thought they were hilarious. Probably as hilarious as I thought they were. [01:11:00] Speaker B: I don't think so. [01:11:02] Speaker D: I. When the DM says no, it hurts more than anybody. [01:11:14] Speaker C: I imagine him being like my caddy from Happy Gilmore. [01:11:18] Speaker B: The weird, like, milky blonde kid. [01:11:22] Speaker E: Yeah, the. [01:11:23] Speaker C: The old homeless guy. [01:11:25] Speaker E: Or the homeless guy.
