[00:00:01] Speaker A: Welcome, friends and adventurers, to another episode of Dungeons and Blackguards. I am your dungeon master, Robulon. Joining me in no particular order, are the players. Tomo. [00:00:17] Speaker B: I am playing Steve Tehuman, Level 5 Gloomstalker. Ranger Fighter, Level 2, Rogue, Level 1. I have an owl. [00:00:27] Speaker A: Brandon. [00:00:29] Speaker C: I am ikirut Puisle, Level 8 Blood Hunter, half orc. And I have breast enhancements. [00:00:39] Speaker A: Brayden. [00:00:40] Speaker D: Hey. I'm Braden. I play Beleague Degar, half elf. Hexblade warlock, level eight, Eric. [00:00:48] Speaker E: I'm Eric. I play Dr. Zozo brightfeather, a level eight aarakocra artificer. [00:00:54] Speaker A: And last but not least, Caleb. [00:00:59] Speaker F: I am the construct, Kaitohe Tata. And I am a level 8 warforged barbarian. [00:01:10] Speaker A: Previously on Dungeons and Blackguards. Initiative. Yes, we ended at the bottom of the order. Dr. Zozo with the Vicks Vapor Rub. [00:01:22] Speaker C: Does it clear the nasals like Vicks Vapor Rub? Oh, definitely. [00:01:28] Speaker E: Yeah. All those extra hit points, they're all in the nose. [00:01:31] Speaker C: You can smell the sweet scent of fresh blood. [00:01:37] Speaker E: I think I said I was perched kind of on the second story somewhere on the wreckage of. [00:01:43] Speaker A: That is correct. You said you were perched on a piece of broken timber or something jutting out of the wreckage. [00:01:50] Speaker E: I moved after I did the fumes. [00:01:52] Speaker A: Got it. So below zozo, the party looks back to the ruined front facade of the white chain. Dust is now settled as the first round of combat concludes. And all of the party looks to the square, where there is not two, but one enemy. And now we are at the top of the order. That is Steve with the nat. 20 plus 3. Hello. [00:02:35] Speaker B: All right, well, that opening surge was kind of bullshit. Although trying to hit 20. So we just have the one lady in front of us now. [00:02:44] Speaker A: Yep. All right. [00:02:45] Speaker B: She's got Hunter's mark on her, I think. Yeah, I think I'm just going to roll some more daggers at her, I guess, trying to see if there's anything. [00:02:59] Speaker A: Nope. [00:02:59] Speaker B: Okay. I guess I'm just going to throw daggers in a not so fancy way so I can hope to hit her and just do little bits and pieces. So, first dagger, 21 to hit. [00:03:15] Speaker A: Well, you can see her, of course. And your first dagger connects as it flies out the front doors of the. Not the white chain. You know, in fact, Steve, one door is open, the other is closed, and the frame of the door actually has survived. [00:03:34] Speaker B: At least. Park goes up in the building again. [00:03:38] Speaker F: All right. [00:03:39] Speaker B: 9. 11. 11 plus 5. So that's 16 for that first hit. [00:03:48] Speaker A: 16 damage and Steve, there is only one part exposed on this emissary. It is her throat and neck region. [00:04:00] Speaker B: Okay, Dagon, number two flies out. And that hits for. Well, that definitely hits 15 plus 8 at 23 again. [00:04:15] Speaker A: Steve, your dagger has found a home. [00:04:20] Speaker B: And that is 13 for damage. [00:04:25] Speaker A: Another same spot. [00:04:28] Speaker B: Yep. Just putting them. Putting them where the. The cloak ain't. [00:04:33] Speaker A: Well, you are bypassing all of the perceived armor and deflective capability of this person's brown cloak. Steve, that is a ton of damage. What is next in your move? [00:04:47] Speaker B: I've got one more throw for the bonus action. [00:04:51] Speaker F: Did you add Zozo's 11 damage? [00:04:54] Speaker D: He didn't get in the cloud. I don't think. [00:04:57] Speaker B: I'm not in it. [00:04:57] Speaker E: At the end, it bounced off the other two knives already in there. [00:05:04] Speaker A: Anything else in your move? Movement wise? You were just standing inside the door of the ruined the not the white chain, just launching daggers. [00:05:14] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm happy. I'm happy with that. [00:05:17] Speaker A: Now, you said Stolas was not in this encounter. I do have Stolas written on the sheet that they're with you, above you. But no, yeah, no, I had. [00:05:26] Speaker B: I stowed him away. [00:05:28] Speaker A: Held in waiting. [00:05:29] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:05:31] Speaker A: I gotta say, Steve, I think you sense something. Anyways, Nat 20 +2 Beleg Dagar. But before you Beleg's spectre. Yeah. [00:05:46] Speaker D: Okay, so I'm gonna roll to do a life drain attack. We're in the sun, right? [00:05:55] Speaker A: That is the sun blasting down. It is only what, 1220. 1230 after you had your little sit down with this emissary. So you are in full sun. That is not good for your little raised kobold. Nope. [00:06:15] Speaker D: I mean it hits. I rolled a 20 and a 16. I wish I could have rolled that. I wish I could have kept that nat 20. [00:06:22] Speaker A: Oh, that is too bad. Well, what do you think happens, Beleg? Like does. Is anybody aware. Does anybody perceive of this rather nefarious evil specter you've raised? [00:06:36] Speaker D: Oh yeah. Oh yeah. People can see it. [00:06:40] Speaker A: Okay then. Anything else in the raised specter's move? [00:06:45] Speaker D: Oh, it. The. The. Even the 16 hits. Because I have a seven to hit. [00:06:50] Speaker A: Oh. Cause it's plus your charisma. Plus five for the specter. So roll damage for the life drain. [00:06:57] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:58] Speaker A: That you've already cast once via this deceased kobold wizard guy. [00:07:07] Speaker D: Yep. That wasn't a very good roll. That was just 2, 2 and 2. So 6 damage, 6 necrotic damage, and then she has to roll on a DC10 con saving throw to have it not taken away from her. Max Hit point. [00:07:25] Speaker A: And she failed that last time. [00:07:29] Speaker D: She did. [00:07:30] Speaker A: That's a two. [00:07:33] Speaker D: Well, that's six. Damage is taken away from her max hit points. Then she can't heal. [00:07:37] Speaker A: Okay. That is the same terrible effect that you see here as your specter is literally draining the life and vitality and whatever youth this person has. Again, purple and black veins appear around their eyes and course down their face. This is some evil shit. [00:08:03] Speaker D: Yep. [00:08:04] Speaker A: Spectre. Spectre. Spectre. [00:08:05] Speaker D: Spectre. Busting, busting, busting. [00:08:08] Speaker A: All right. [00:08:09] Speaker D: Dude, that was stuck in my head so hard. [00:08:15] Speaker B: Sweet. [00:08:16] Speaker D: That's the end of Spectre's turn. She's gonna stay right up in her face now. Belerick's turn. [00:08:23] Speaker A: You're up. [00:08:25] Speaker D: All right, now I'm just gonna try and hit her with my. My Glaive. [00:08:32] Speaker A: Armed with the Dagari, the ancient Elvish polearm. [00:08:37] Speaker D: Yep. And that's an 18 plus 7. So that's. That's a hit. [00:08:44] Speaker A: This must be a fierce strike. Roll damage. [00:08:52] Speaker D: So it's not. It's not that fierce, but it's not bad. Yeah, somewhat fierce. Plus six. So it's nine damage. [00:09:03] Speaker E: Plus 11. [00:09:04] Speaker D: So 20 damage. [00:09:06] Speaker A: Whoa. Are you going to be attacking again? [00:09:09] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:09:10] Speaker A: Okay, let's just keep a tally going because as we well know, Beleg, you have some martial prowess with a polearm. And the slashes and blows come pretty quick. So roll on AC again and I'm gonna mark down that 20 damage. [00:09:29] Speaker D: That is a 13 plus 7. So that's a 20. [00:09:33] Speaker A: You have found the spot. The same spot the Kaitoa connected with. Yes. Then roll damage again. [00:09:46] Speaker D: That's nine again. But a Proton. I only add the 11 once, right? [00:09:53] Speaker E: Yeah, I believe it's just on your neck. [00:09:54] Speaker D: Yeah. Cool. All right, so hit her with nine. And then I'm gonna use the Dagari 2D8 Thunder damage that I can do once per day. So that's another five damage. So 14 damage. So 34 total. [00:10:12] Speaker A: Okay. [00:10:13] Speaker D: Or 29 magic slots and damage and five thunder damage. [00:10:17] Speaker A: Right. It's. It's divvied up a bit. What else in your. [00:10:24] Speaker D: Just got my bonus action to go, which I might as well make use of. I can just bonker. Bonker on the head with the. The back of my polearm. [00:10:35] Speaker A: Okay. This is whipping around with the butt of your reach weapon. [00:10:40] Speaker D: Yep. It's going right into their neck crevice. Hopefully the. The reach around misses. It doesn't hit well. [00:10:49] Speaker A: Beleg as you whip around. And the blunt end of the Dagari connects with her Drapery you get a glimpse of this person's face. [00:11:05] Speaker D: How'd she look? [00:11:07] Speaker A: Beleg. Have you used every part of your move? [00:11:11] Speaker D: Yep. Two attacks, bonus action. I don't want to move. I want to stay right up in her grill. [00:11:16] Speaker A: Okay, I will come back to that question. You can roll a quick perception if you want, as part of your move next time round. Okay, okay. Old foot taps you on the shoulder. Rook, you requested that he be slung onto your back, you know, the moment that the combat initiated. But he is not looking good. I warned you this might not be a good move. He's gonna roll con. Okay, that's a 16. So he is able to, you know, either pass you multiple weapons per turn, and he's able to wield a too. Oh, perfect. I hear beer has arrived from that island to the south. [00:12:03] Speaker C: First we fight, then beer. [00:12:06] Speaker A: Fight. What? What fight? [00:12:09] Speaker C: Whatever I tell you to fight. Eh? [00:12:12] Speaker A: Oh, turn me around. Oh, look at the building. No, what building? [00:12:18] Speaker F: Oh, he's on your back so he can't see the fight. [00:12:21] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:12:21] Speaker C: I'll spin around. Here you go. [00:12:24] Speaker A: Anyways, rook, this is some sort of arcane caster. Mind yourself. [00:12:35] Speaker C: Any suggestions what I should hit her with weapons? Yeah, I got that. [00:12:42] Speaker E: Which ones? [00:12:43] Speaker A: He has noted, I guess, that you currently have Bergen's blade, the long sword, and voltaic machete. I give my blessing to this combo. [00:12:55] Speaker C: Burgundy blade and the voltaic machete. [00:12:59] Speaker A: Aye. And that concludes my move. [00:13:04] Speaker E: Perfect. [00:13:06] Speaker C: Caddy me up. So I'm gonna get the voltaic and the bergens. I'll wield the bergens in my strong hand. [00:13:15] Speaker A: Okay, rook. And you are up. Unless there was anything you would have Oldfoot do, I suppose. He can't. You told him wield a longbow if you want. He can wield a longbow. [00:13:25] Speaker C: Yeah, Longbow. [00:13:27] Speaker A: Well, I've shot one of these before. Why not I as the ranged member of the party. Why not? I. Rook, you are up. [00:13:38] Speaker C: Okay, I will. So I add that 11 to my initial attack or just my hit. [00:13:47] Speaker E: It's damage. [00:13:49] Speaker C: Bonus damage. [00:13:50] Speaker E: K for your first melee. [00:13:54] Speaker C: My first one is gonna be a. What is that? I'm gonna use inspiration. Oh, that's better. My first one's gonna be 21. [00:14:12] Speaker A: Okay, rook, you correct the angle of your strike. You're connecting. [00:14:18] Speaker C: My second one with the voltaic is gonna be 22. [00:14:22] Speaker A: This is the patented poonslay slap chop. [00:14:26] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. We're slapping and chopping. So the bergen's blade is gonna be a 13 damage. And off the machete, it's an 11 damage. And then I will have another. I guess I have another attack with my longsword, right? [00:14:46] Speaker A: Uh huh. [00:14:48] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll take another attack. Oh but you son of a bitch. 19. [00:14:56] Speaker A: Classic rook with the orcish swearing. And boy, is this a foul mouthed orc that you guys travel around with. Rook. No. In this case your blade seems to be deflected not by armor, but by this brown cloak. [00:15:16] Speaker C: Right, that's the end of my turn there. [00:15:21] Speaker A: So, any free action interaction with the environment or your party? [00:15:28] Speaker E: No. No. Good. [00:15:30] Speaker A: Oh, you are just steely. Steely eyed as your third slash has been parried away in a most peculiar way. Kaitoa, you are up. [00:15:43] Speaker F: Okay, still enraged, you know. Reckless attack. So, first attack. First attack misses. So now I'm rolling the second attack. Ah. Okay. Second attack hits. [00:16:02] Speaker A: The first one cleaves into the cobblestones right beside her and cobblestones burst up. And the second one you have cloven again right into her body. [00:16:18] Speaker F: So Zozo does that 11 damage. Is it added to the first attack or the first one that hits? [00:16:26] Speaker E: It's looks like it's just their next the next attack. [00:16:31] Speaker F: So if I have two attacks, the first one missed, does that mean. I mean it's void now? [00:16:36] Speaker E: I think so. Yeah. [00:16:37] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:16:37] Speaker F: It doesn't apply to the second attack. [00:16:41] Speaker D: Hot damn. Does that cobblestone feel terrible? [00:16:45] Speaker A: That seems particularly cruel because of course you attacked twice. Did one attack hit? Yes. Was it the first attack? [00:16:53] Speaker F: Yes. All right. Well I'll take it then. Thanks Robin. [00:16:58] Speaker E: All right. [00:16:59] Speaker F: Okay. So the first attack that hit going to be. So 11. So 22 damage. So that's 22. And then she's also gonna make a con save of 12. [00:17:16] Speaker A: Okay, this is versus the VO dog lightning effect. [00:17:20] Speaker F: Thunder. [00:17:22] Speaker A: Oh boy. [00:17:23] Speaker B: Thunder. [00:17:24] Speaker A: Not doing too well on these con saves. That's not gonna do it. [00:17:29] Speaker F: Yay. Finally it hits. Ooh. So 22 regular damage and a seven thunder damage. [00:17:41] Speaker D: Ouch. [00:17:43] Speaker F: 29 in total damage. [00:17:46] Speaker A: Kaitoa, how would you say these fumes have been taken in by your ancient construct body? [00:17:56] Speaker F: Yeah, I would definitely say just like little vents that I breathe in into my body and then it's just being expelled in energy. [00:18:08] Speaker A: Dr. Zozo, I gotta ask. As you're perched up there, what is Dr. Zozo contemplating as he sees the Vicks fumes absolutely taking effect? [00:18:21] Speaker E: I think she's feeling pretty pretty chuffed about that. And you are pleased that she didn't accidentally poison anybody? [00:18:31] Speaker D: It's good to know the kind of confidence we're working with here. [00:18:34] Speaker E: Yeah, I Mean, I don't think she. [00:18:37] Speaker C: Got in a lot of fights before this. [00:18:38] Speaker E: So this is probably the first time she's really, you know, deployed it in battle field tested. [00:18:44] Speaker C: No. [00:18:46] Speaker A: Well, you are approximately 50 to 60ft away. You're about one story up on a ruined timber that is jutting out from the ruined, not the white chain. Whatcha gonna do? [00:19:01] Speaker E: I think she's pretty pleased by how that one turned out. So she's gonna try another potion. She's going to use a poisonous gas. I think she'll. She'll fly overhead and then just kind of drop it onto the the wizard. So it. It has a five foot area of effect. So she's gonna try to not get the others in it. [00:19:27] Speaker A: Oh, precision bombing run. [00:19:30] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. So she'll swoop overhead and drop a vial. She'll quickly mix it up and then drop it as she swoops by. [00:19:41] Speaker A: Okay. Now is this something you just do when you make a potion on the fly? One of these instant concoctions? [00:19:49] Speaker E: This is one of the instant reactions. So I have to get within 15ft to use it. [00:19:57] Speaker A: Okay. Not an impossible shot, but watch out for your party members. [00:20:02] Speaker E: Yep. [00:20:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:20:04] Speaker B: Full hand points. It's all good. [00:20:08] Speaker E: Okay, so yeah, at a point within 15ft, you can toss it. It'll cause a whiff of poisonous gas to erupt, spreading to a radius of 5ft. Creatures in that area have to make a constitution saving throw or take 1d4. Actually that'll be 2d4 plus 4 poison damage and become poisoned until the end of their next turn. [00:20:27] Speaker D: Don't worry about the specter. It's immune to poison. [00:20:30] Speaker E: Okay. [00:20:32] Speaker F: Yeah, I knew that. [00:20:35] Speaker E: So to get that precision, will I have to roll anything or do I. [00:20:39] Speaker A: Just pick a point? I feel like we're gonna roll. Your preference of aerial acrobatics or aerial athletics or perception? [00:20:51] Speaker E: I'll go with acrobatics. [00:20:52] Speaker A: Okay. [00:20:55] Speaker E: I rolled a seven. [00:20:57] Speaker A: Oh my God. [00:20:59] Speaker E: Don't have any inspiration to use here. [00:21:02] Speaker A: And it's roll a little percentile dice here. Oh, there is a easterly wind. And as you drop your flask, it flies just about one foot off the mark. It totally explodes at the feet of this brown cloaked emissary. But the gust of wind that threw you off a little bit is also wafting the poison towards Rookie. [00:21:33] Speaker F: Hold your breath. [00:21:36] Speaker A: Now, do you deal immediate damage on that poison gas? [00:21:41] Speaker E: So it says no, they get to make a constitution saving throw. [00:21:46] Speaker A: Rook, can you make a con? And Emmett here. [00:21:49] Speaker E: One more thing. The fortifying of fumes gives advantage on their next constitution saving throw. [00:21:58] Speaker D: Nice. That's awesome. [00:22:01] Speaker A: One drug canceleth out the other. Yeah, so. [00:22:07] Speaker C: My constitution can't with advance. That's just a D20, isn't it? [00:22:14] Speaker A: How did you roll their rook 15? And what did the half orc have to beat, Zozo? [00:22:26] Speaker F: I'm not sure. [00:22:28] Speaker A: Let's take a look. What's your spell casting ability there, Zozo? It's 10 plus that intelligence. That's great. [00:22:35] Speaker E: Plus four. [00:22:36] Speaker A: So 14. 15. Rook, you beat it. [00:22:38] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:22:41] Speaker A: However, so did Emma's. And you see now, one of the base portions of her riding gear, this kind of balaclava mask that appears to be sheathed within one of her hoods, kind of comes down over her face. [00:23:06] Speaker B: She's entered her full defensive mode. [00:23:08] Speaker F: Yeah, she's in the Dutch oven. [00:23:14] Speaker A: Okay, Zozo, although your efforts have been thwarted. Mildly. You know, you are swirling above the combat and you and your companions are facing, you know, but one adversary. Is there anything else in your move? [00:23:33] Speaker E: Nope, I don't think so. No. That's it. [00:23:36] Speaker A: Okay. At the very bottom of the order, you see a strange expression appear on Emma's face. [00:23:50] Speaker B: Uh oh. [00:23:52] Speaker D: What is it? [00:23:54] Speaker B: She's gonna fart. [00:23:55] Speaker F: She smelt it. And now she's about to deal it. [00:24:01] Speaker A: She seems to now be forming some words behind her little balaclava mask. [00:24:09] Speaker D: No. [00:24:11] Speaker A: And her hands. You can tell her hands are sort of manipulating something beneath the folds of her robes. [00:24:20] Speaker D: Somatic components. [00:24:22] Speaker F: It takes more than one turn for him to her to do it, right? [00:24:27] Speaker D: Likely not. [00:24:30] Speaker A: And Beleague Degar, she looks directly at you, who stands between Rook and Kaitoa, the ancient construct. And now she pulls down the portion of the mask over her mouth and says, much of this world's wisdom is still acquired by necromancy, by consulting the dead. And she snaps her fingers. [00:25:02] Speaker D: And what do I have to do? [00:25:04] Speaker A: And disappears. [00:25:07] Speaker D: Oh, she disappears. [00:25:14] Speaker A: And friends and adventurers, you are now out of that combat for about a. [00:25:21] Speaker E: Minute until that golem comes back. [00:25:24] Speaker A: Exactly 39 seconds. [00:25:28] Speaker E: How far can we run in 39 seconds? [00:25:34] Speaker B: If you all come into 30ft of me, we won't have to. [00:25:42] Speaker A: 20. [00:25:43] Speaker F: I run back to Steve. [00:25:45] Speaker D: Yeah. Pass without trace. Pass without trace. [00:25:49] Speaker B: I will pass without trace. [00:25:51] Speaker A: Ten, nine. [00:25:54] Speaker C: I'm joining. I'm there. [00:25:56] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:25:56] Speaker B: Come to me. [00:25:59] Speaker D: Without trace. [00:26:00] Speaker B: Oh God. [00:26:03] Speaker A: Everybody has made it it into Steve's pass without trace sort of sphere of stealth. And in this moment, the golem returns. [00:26:18] Speaker B: Back door gtfo. [00:26:23] Speaker A: Oh, Bell, I will give you the benefit of rolling that perception. You did not get to roll. [00:26:32] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:26:36] Speaker A: Rob. [00:26:37] Speaker B: Does Steve's got the hunter's mark on the lady that gives him advantage on perception. Perception checks perception on perception and survival checks to find it. If it's. If I've got the hunter's mark on that person. [00:26:56] Speaker A: Oh, excellent. Okay, we're gonna see how that plays out. What did you roll, bellic? 10. 10 right on the nose. Well, you asked how she's doing when you looked her in the face before she put her mask up, and you would note one thing. This person bared some resemblance to an elvish person. [00:27:21] Speaker D: She looked elvish. [00:27:23] Speaker F: Eh? Or an elvish impression impersonator. [00:27:33] Speaker A: In this moment, you know, time has virtually stopped, guys. And in the outside sunlight, this golem has absolutely popped back into the material plane from the harmless demiplane where Beleg had banished it. [00:27:53] Speaker F: I just love the idea. [00:27:56] Speaker B: Would I be able to roll that perception to see if she's still there? [00:27:59] Speaker A: Absolutely. In this moment. You guys. Now see the golem begin to take stock of its surroundings. Its large head begins to rotate. [00:28:15] Speaker B: All right, that was a 19 plus 8. [00:28:18] Speaker A: 19. 8. Steve. What do you think Steve would know about teleportation? Let's see. [00:28:29] Speaker B: I guess that some animals have the ability to. To do it. To blink. [00:28:35] Speaker A: Well, Steve, you did not pay attention in these classes when you were being instructed under the tutelage on moi there. But you do remember something about teleportation being associated with how familiar the person is with a place. And you get the sense that this person has not teleported far across the continent. [00:29:08] Speaker B: Okay. [00:29:12] Speaker A: They must have teleported to somewhere where they mentioned they were already familiar with teleporting, too. And in this moment, Rook and Zozo and Kaitoa. Is there anything you would do before I get you all to roll a group stealth? [00:29:36] Speaker D: Oh, should I do it? I'm tempted to do it. [00:29:39] Speaker B: I mean, the worst that can happen is that you get smushed and we watch you get smushed. [00:29:49] Speaker D: That is literally the worst that could happen. [00:29:56] Speaker C: Can I. Or Rob? Can I see what the golem is? I guess how he's reacting to the current situation. [00:30:08] Speaker A: Okay, so you're looking at the golem. Sure. Roll perception, Rook. [00:30:14] Speaker C: Oh, Perceptione. Don't be a belle egg. [00:30:19] Speaker E: 14. [00:30:20] Speaker A: Okay, as I mentioned, the golem's turning his head around and is familiarizing himself with the surrounding area. And Rook, you see him start to kind of shake his head and. Oh, boy. [00:30:38] Speaker D: Beleg snaps his fingers and turns into Emis. [00:30:41] Speaker A: Okay. Into Emis. Beleg and Rook. Yeah. Oh, Boy, this golem is starting to go a berserk. [00:30:52] Speaker E: Uh oh, oh, uh oh. [00:30:55] Speaker A: Zozo, Kaitoa, anything else? As you see, Beleg snap his fingers and turn into Emis. [00:31:01] Speaker E: I'll try checking anything about golems if. [00:31:05] Speaker A: I've studied them, or intelligence or wisdom or history. [00:31:10] Speaker E: All right, that was another seven. [00:31:15] Speaker A: Clay Golems in particular have eluded your studies up until now. Zozo, this is something you don't know. [00:31:24] Speaker E: All right. [00:31:25] Speaker C: Yep. Rob, with my upbringing and can I do a history check or investigation on golems and the best way to rid this golem out of our town. [00:31:41] Speaker A: Okay, I'm gonna mark you down for history check, Rook, as you scratch your stubbled half orc chin. But in this moment, I'll say you're pretty much out of time. As now, clearly the golem is berserking. It has now taken a couple of steps, not towards the white chain, but just towards the first thing it sees. Kaitoa, anything up with you? As the party ostensibly is preparing their strategy under the shadowy spell of Pass without Trace. [00:32:19] Speaker F: I'm going to pull out Naafrey's little amulet and I'm gonna start maybe holding it in certain ways and trying to see if anything happens. [00:32:32] Speaker A: The small wooden amulet totally in your hand. And yeah, you can absolutely start, you know, seeing if the ways in which you think you've determined it work might have any effect on this situation. Party, can you roll a group stealth with advantage with plus 10. Oh, God. [00:33:01] Speaker D: That's a 22 for Belloc. [00:33:05] Speaker A: 25 for those 25, Zozo. Okay, floor dice for rook. [00:33:11] Speaker F: I rolled a three and a four. [00:33:14] Speaker A: Oh, Kaitoa. Well, the group stealth might save you on this one. Yeah. [00:33:19] Speaker B: 30. 34 for. [00:33:22] Speaker A: Oh, man. Well, that passes the threshold. That passes the threshold of the Clay Golem. Scanning, Scanning in their berserk rage has overlooked the destroyed white chain and the party, you know, hiding just within the entryway here. So, party now. The golem has actually turned his back to you as he pivots away towards the target. [00:33:58] Speaker C: Do I get my history check? [00:34:00] Speaker A: I guess, yeah. In this moment, you've delayed again, so I will allow you to roll a skill check. Their role history. [00:34:08] Speaker C: Sixteen. [00:34:10] Speaker A: Golems, animated material spell wars 2,000 years ago. So, you know, Clay Golems, pretty much a relic of the past. And you would have to wield an enormous amount of, you know, magic and responsibility and authority to possess this magical knowledge out of place, out of time. [00:34:37] Speaker B: From this vantage point, is there any potential similarities that I can glean from those last sets of guys that we killed, like the. The lodestone chamber or anything that. That I could see as a potential. Potential hatch or something that. That I'd be able to pull if it was a similar lodestone or not. [00:35:02] Speaker A: I guess I'll do this. As the next party member, Steve, you know, tries to add to the assessment of this creature. You are witnessing it now striding over and now arriving at the target and raising his hands up in the air to smash down. And then Steve, so you're rolling intelligence, wisdom, perception. [00:35:31] Speaker B: Perception. [00:35:32] Speaker F: Okay. [00:35:33] Speaker B: Yeah, I wanna. I wanna see if the. The. I guess I pulled the lodestone from the torso of one of those. One of those things that was in the. The cobbled boat. I am looking for any similar markings or anything that could. That could potentially lead to being able to yank a lodestone out of that thing too. 14 plus 8, 22. [00:35:55] Speaker A: There is a growing theory building in your mind, Steve, about how these golems might be animated and how they might be controlled as the golem smashes down into the steps of the Temple of Dan, where crowds are screaming and running for their lives. [00:36:29] Speaker C: No, not the Temple of Dan. Anywhere but the Temple Dan. [00:36:33] Speaker F: God Dan. God Dan. [00:36:44] Speaker C: I definitely want to share Reimbur, like, kind of the history that I gleaned on the golem with the rest of the group. [00:36:51] Speaker D: I'm tempted to go out there and see if I can calm it down by looking like Emma. [00:36:58] Speaker F: Go for it. [00:37:00] Speaker D: Yeah. Can't think of what else to do. And I don't, like, try to fight. [00:37:04] Speaker B: The golem, but that thing is fucking burly. [00:37:08] Speaker D: I think it's burly. And we don't have a ton of magic damage. [00:37:15] Speaker F: I wish I could remember or figure out how to control those golems upstairs. We can sick and, like, distract it with those while we just, like, pepper it with shots. [00:37:25] Speaker D: Can be pretty dope if you can figure that out. See if you can sneak up and let the construct parts out. [00:37:32] Speaker F: I know. I'm terrified of leaving this, like, little bubble, though. [00:37:36] Speaker B: Give the. The attempt. Get Bellik to attempt to touch pocket down. [00:37:43] Speaker F: Hello, friend. [00:37:45] Speaker B: Yeah, hey, remember me? I'm your boss. [00:37:49] Speaker D: I. It sucks because she only said, like, one thing, so I can't even really remember how to do a good voice. [00:37:56] Speaker F: Impression of her, you know who's. All right? These guys. I'm gonna sprint because we're in the white chain or is the door still? Or are we in line of sight with him? [00:38:13] Speaker A: Yes. [00:38:16] Speaker F: I'm going to book it Upstairs. Does anyone object? [00:38:20] Speaker D: Nope. I am going to. I'm going to walk out there as Ms. And see if I can calm it down. [00:38:26] Speaker F: I'm ripping upstairs to the Hurt Locker. [00:38:29] Speaker A: Are you dashing? [00:38:30] Speaker F: Yep. [00:38:31] Speaker A: So I'll have you roll three athletics or acrobatics past 10 on all of them. Okay. [00:38:42] Speaker F: First one is 24. [00:38:46] Speaker A: And you dash up past the concierge desk into the second floor. Most of the facade has been destroyed here too. Kaitoa, roll again. [00:38:59] Speaker F: Second one is the 25. [00:39:02] Speaker A: You hook around here is the sort of secret staircase up to the owner's level. Roll again. [00:39:10] Speaker F: Third one is a 22. [00:39:12] Speaker A: You pass them all and you blast through that door. I did. You have the owner's key? [00:39:20] Speaker F: No. [00:39:21] Speaker A: Uh oh. [00:39:23] Speaker D: Porko. [00:39:28] Speaker A: With that 22, you blast through the door. It is in smithereens, but luckily the third floor of the white chain is not. It is intact. [00:39:43] Speaker F: I can't believe that Gollum managed to blow this door up as well. Porco's gonna vp. Porco. [00:39:53] Speaker B: Marco. [00:39:56] Speaker A: So the Hurt Locker is intact? Is that what you're going for? [00:40:00] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:40:01] Speaker A: Okay. So the door swings open. You see four large bundles. [00:40:06] Speaker F: I was going to. I actually wanted to like, I was just going to run them to the window and just start hucking the bundles out the window onto the street. [00:40:17] Speaker A: Well, you know what? You and the pieces have rejoined the party in like under two minutes. [00:40:25] Speaker F: Okay. [00:40:26] Speaker B: Hey, Rob. I recall Stas being able to convince the horses to. To follow his lead. Would I. I think Steve would like to call Stolas into. Into the situation and I'll ask him. I'll ask him if he can. If there's any way he can control the Golem. [00:40:48] Speaker A: Okay, Steve, you have summoned Stolas onto the scene. Your owl familiar is immediately aware of your need. You know, you have communicated that exact thought. How can we influence the Golem? [00:41:05] Speaker B: Can you do the thing you did with the horses? [00:41:11] Speaker D: Yeah, I still want to go out there and try and see if it responds to me. Looking like I missed you. [00:41:16] Speaker A: That's what you're doing in this two minutes. Okay, so we know that Beleg is slowly approaching the Golem. Steve is at the aperture of the door consulting Stolas. Kaitoa has come back down. Now he is armed with mecha parts. Beleg walks out and yes, Steve, Stolas looks back at you and kind of cocks his head, as owls are prone to do. And as you look into his eyes, there is a starfield. Oh my. What a question, Steve. Which aspect of Stolas would Answer this question. [00:42:00] Speaker B: Think maybe the. The starry one. [00:42:04] Speaker F: I like how he sounds like George Takei. [00:42:06] Speaker B: Stolis is George Takei. [00:42:09] Speaker A: Oh, my, oh, my. [00:42:16] Speaker B: Give him the one that you gave the horses. [00:42:20] Speaker A: It's not all clay. And at its heart is a piece of stone. [00:42:30] Speaker B: Been there before. [00:42:34] Speaker A: Gollum. Smile, you hear. Reverberate across. And truly, 25 people have been smashed. [00:42:48] Speaker D: Oh, God. [00:42:51] Speaker A: And these stairs are red with blood at the temple of Dan. As the party strategizes. So, Steve, Okay. So, Rook, what are you doing in this two minutes? Steve is like looking at his little owl buddy. What are you doing? [00:43:08] Speaker C: They're just sacrifices to Dan. Anyways, it's all good. I'm going to keep cover and just kind of watch the Golem while everybody is figuring out what the heck they want to do here. I'm just kind of waiting to wait. Act. [00:43:27] Speaker A: Okay, you're kind of going to hold whatever you might do as you see bellicose brush past you. But it is not Beleg Emis. The brown cloaked emissary of the Wizards Guild is very convincing right now. Beleg. Very convincing. And Zozo, as you see Beleg stride out and you see Rook kind of take a defensive stance. Kaitoa has slid right out the front door with all of these curious parts. And the Ranger boy has a small owl consultant. In this moment, as chaos and truly carnage is erupting at the temple of. [00:44:10] Speaker D: Dan, the media is gonna have a field day with this. [00:44:15] Speaker E: Yeah, I think Zozo is frantically going through her pouch of ingredients and, like, flipping through a book of notes and recipes and just kind of shrugs. I don't have a potion for this. [00:44:28] Speaker F: You don't have a potion for 25 squished people? [00:44:31] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:44:34] Speaker A: Damn. [00:44:35] Speaker C: Yeah, damn. [00:44:38] Speaker A: Okay, Zozo, as you exclaim that, boy, that might be a great episode title Bellic, we're gonna throw to you for this. That is a good one. As you strive towards the Golem carefully, you see the first five get felled. Then you see as you take another 10ft, another 10 fall, and now the golem, you know, steps on 10. Like you witness all the deaths. And of course, now you have closed the distance. [00:45:09] Speaker D: Oh, Belak has serious sweaty butthole right now. We haven't talked to her enough yet, so I can't quite do an impression of her. So I'm gonna rely on the the dice for performance checks if I have to and just try and get its attention first. Big guy. Big guy. [00:45:38] Speaker A: And there go another five pulbians. Your voice is not carrying over the shouting of this golem and of the crowds. I mean, it is absolute carnage. [00:45:55] Speaker F: Bar it again. But with feeding. [00:45:57] Speaker D: That's right. I'm just gonna keep calling him big guy. Big guy. Hey, calm down. [00:46:05] Speaker E: Brah. [00:46:06] Speaker A: Brah brah. Golems, bats every man. And mud is flying off in your direction. Beleg. He has spun around and is looking directly at you. Mud drops and dollops around you. This guy's got to be like 30ft tall. [00:46:29] Speaker D: Can I notice anything about his expression? Does he look like he's about to charge at me and kill me? [00:46:36] Speaker A: The expression of the bottom of his fist is roll. A dexterity saving, throw and roll initiative. [00:46:44] Speaker D: It didn't work. I'm gonna burn an inspo on that deck. [00:46:58] Speaker A: Saved. [00:47:00] Speaker D: Okay, so it's a night. 19 plus 3. 22. [00:47:05] Speaker A: So 19 plus 3. Holy crap. You're lucky. [00:47:09] Speaker D: Okay, so what happens? [00:47:12] Speaker F: Just like, hey, big guy. And he just turns around and sings at you. [00:47:18] Speaker D: And my initiative is a 19 plus 2. So 21. [00:47:25] Speaker A: So 21 total beleg. [00:47:27] Speaker D: Yeah, 21 total initiative. [00:47:29] Speaker A: And the raised kobold Worm Wizard. [00:47:34] Speaker D: You rolled a seven. [00:47:35] Speaker A: Okay. Below the golem. So you the golem and then the worm wizard. [00:47:41] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:47:42] Speaker A: So not only do you hop out of the way, I guess, but you summon your specter and the fist crashes into into the five feet directly in front of you. And in fact, this has destroyed two of these sets of stairs to the Temple of Dan Golems. The masonry flies up and these chunks of granite stairs are rent in front of you and Kaitoa and Party. You're definitely seeing this. All of you can Roll Initiative. [00:48:22] Speaker D: The ruse was a failure. [00:48:25] Speaker F: He didn't clearly give a. Gollum does not run on fucks given. [00:48:35] Speaker B: So we're rolling initiative then? [00:48:37] Speaker D: Only if you guys want to. You guys are still stealthed out. [00:48:41] Speaker F: Can I also use the rest of the turn to rip open these bundles? [00:48:46] Speaker A: Sure. Undo your bundles. So Roll initiative. Belleg's at 21 and the golems at 12. [00:48:54] Speaker F: Oh, I got a 13. [00:48:56] Speaker A: You do go before the golem Kaitoa. You start your turn with a bunch of construct product at your disposal. You are exactly 80ft away from where Beleg has been assaulted by the Golem who's turned around. Luckily, the golem is no longer destroying people. What do you want to do with your move? And then can I have everybody else roll Initiative so I know where to plug him in? [00:49:24] Speaker E: I got a 10. [00:49:25] Speaker A: Okay. [00:49:26] Speaker B: Steve got a 17, but Stolas got a 4. [00:49:33] Speaker A: Okay. [00:49:34] Speaker F: Welcome to the fight, Stolas. [00:49:38] Speaker A: Rook 14 Beleg's up at 21. You got Steve at 17. You are at 14. In fact, somehow you are going to charge past Kaitoa. Nice. And Bellic Europe, you're up. [00:49:54] Speaker D: I'm gonna start the turn off with my free action to look back and see if the guys are coming to join me or not. And I guess you guys are. [00:50:07] Speaker A: You wish. [00:50:08] Speaker E: I guess so. Yeah. [00:50:09] Speaker D: All right. [00:50:11] Speaker F: I'm just gonna start throwing Gollum parts at it. And you think I'm gonna do something magical with it and I just like start throwing chunks of metal at this. [00:50:20] Speaker B: Goal, sharpen them and throw them at him. [00:50:24] Speaker D: So how far away am I, Rob, for this guy? [00:50:27] Speaker A: Five feet. [00:50:28] Speaker D: Five feet. Okay, so I would incur an attack of opportunity if I tried to leave. Just looking at Eldritch blast right now to see if there's. Or my repelling blast to see if there are any stipulations on size. When you hit a creature with Eldritch blast, you can push the creature up to 10ft away from you in a straight line. [00:50:47] Speaker A: Do it. [00:50:48] Speaker D: Sweet. That'll get me out of melee range. Hopefully. I try and throw two. Two Eldritch blasts at him. [00:50:59] Speaker A: Roll on AC does each one pop them back? [00:51:04] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:51:05] Speaker F: Nice. [00:51:05] Speaker D: So it'd be 20ft. That's a 24 for the first one and a 18 for the second one. Do they both hit? [00:51:16] Speaker A: Both hit. [00:51:19] Speaker D: Sweet. [00:51:20] Speaker A: And you are layering on the repelling blast. [00:51:24] Speaker D: Yeah. So that's 11 force damage. And he gets pushed back 20ft. [00:51:33] Speaker A: Whoa. There go another eight pullbians. [00:51:38] Speaker D: Sorry guys. [00:51:41] Speaker B: My bad. [00:51:42] Speaker D: It's for the greater good. [00:51:45] Speaker A: And it is getting slippery up here on the Temple of Dan because of all the dripping clay. [00:51:55] Speaker D: I'm gonna use the rest of my movement to back up. So I'm at a 50 foot range. [00:52:06] Speaker A: Okay. Backpedaling back towards the party. [00:52:10] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:52:11] Speaker A: Bell Igar, is there anything else in your move? [00:52:16] Speaker D: I mean, I might as well. No, nothing else. [00:52:20] Speaker F: Can you turn yourself into the Golem as a disguise? [00:52:24] Speaker D: No. [00:52:26] Speaker B: Miniature version of him? [00:52:27] Speaker A: Yeah, a little. [00:52:27] Speaker D: A mini golem? [00:52:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Hey, I'm your brother. [00:52:32] Speaker D: A giant voodoo doll. [00:52:35] Speaker A: Okay, so you are next, Steve Tailman. [00:52:40] Speaker B: All right, well, how. How tall is this? Gone is this Golem crest the second floor, is it? [00:52:48] Speaker A: It is just below the third floor of most of the buildings around here. It's about 27ft tall. [00:52:55] Speaker B: Okay, well, I want to get up. I want to get up above. [00:53:01] Speaker A: Be. [00:53:01] Speaker B: Able to use the. The wreckage of the white chain to get up, to get up higher. [00:53:06] Speaker A: The white chain is too far on the opposite diagonal corner of the square here. You're about sort of eight buildings away. [00:53:15] Speaker B: Steve is kind of expecting, since. Since we've entered combat with the Golem, that this golem's gonna come back towards the white chain. [00:53:23] Speaker F: Yeah. Are you gonna try and like Legolas this thing and jump on his back? [00:53:31] Speaker B: That's a possibility. [00:53:33] Speaker F: That'd be pretty badass. [00:53:36] Speaker B: That's the idea. So I think the Golem, I assume the Golem, since Beleg has attacked it, is bound to come back towards us in this round if it's berserk. [00:53:45] Speaker D: It just attacks the closest thing to it, though. Yeah, I'm not kiting that. I'm trying to not be the closest thing to it. [00:53:55] Speaker F: Hey, in comes the meat wagon. [00:53:57] Speaker B: The closest thing to it, technically, if that's the case, is the ground. So it would just attack, like. [00:54:03] Speaker D: Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of. [00:54:04] Speaker B: Other sort of offensive. [00:54:09] Speaker F: Objects, buildings. [00:54:10] Speaker A: Oh, that's interesting. Well, you know, as you look around, Steve, and contemplate what you're gonna do, I mean, there are the crowds screaming. There is your buddy Beleg backpedaling away. But, Steve, what will you do? [00:54:24] Speaker B: Okay, so the golem is 40 some odd feet away. 40ft away. [00:54:29] Speaker A: If you need to get up somewhere, that's half your movement to get up onto a building. But. Yeah, how. [00:54:36] Speaker B: If I was to run straight at it, jump and climb and use the sprint, would I be able to get up to the top of it? [00:54:44] Speaker A: Sure. You mean the Golem itself? Yes, absolutely. It is right now facing all of you and Beleg, who it is pretty much focused on. [00:54:55] Speaker B: Steve's gonna go into scamper mode, dash. [00:54:59] Speaker A: And probably a roll for athletics as you try and run up the Golem Radix instead. Sure. Acrobatics. Sure. [00:55:09] Speaker B: Yeah, will do. Oh, 16 plus 6 for 22. [00:55:17] Speaker A: That will do it. All right. [00:55:20] Speaker B: I'm gonna monkey my way up, up the back of the Golem. [00:55:24] Speaker E: So if you can get the golem to attack you and miss, it should hit itself. [00:55:30] Speaker B: Gonna punch itself in the head. [00:55:31] Speaker F: Yeah, just like, sit on his face and then roll out of the way. [00:55:36] Speaker D: Yeah, that'd be awesome. [00:55:39] Speaker A: Steve, it is wobbly up here. And what is your intention now? As you pretty much conclude the movement part of your move, Your feet and your adventurer's boots are getting a little stuck in this golem's layer of clay. [00:55:58] Speaker B: Well, I have the idea that I want to start digging around for. For things that are not clay. So if. If there's eyes, if there's parts that move with A dagger tip then. That's what I'm doing. [00:56:12] Speaker A: Okay. [00:56:12] Speaker D: This is the bravest thing Steve has ever done. [00:56:15] Speaker A: Boy, Steve, can you. [00:56:18] Speaker B: He's killing regular people. Steve doesn't care for that. Do I get any? Am I doing an attack with a weapon or am I? [00:56:27] Speaker A: You tell me. How are you doing this? Are you probing with a dagger? What precisely are you doing? [00:56:34] Speaker B: I work best with daggers. So I've got my NC dagger. It's been a while since he's used that. It's got a nice sharp keen tip to it. Stabbing the dirt, just digging around looking for. Looking for non clay material. [00:56:53] Speaker A: Okay. Roll those fresh D20s. [00:56:58] Speaker B: Okay. Do I get the bonus as I would with a dagger or is it just a flat roll? [00:57:03] Speaker A: Oh, no, same as a dagger, but just roll the attack with advantage. Damage is the same. [00:57:09] Speaker F: We will tell people of your heroic speed. [00:57:15] Speaker B: Well, I do love advantage. So that's a 19 plus 6. 25. And the damage, not that it matters, but the damage is going to be a one plus three. So it's a four. [00:57:31] Speaker A: Steve, as you plunge your dagger in, you hear a squelch and then your dagger has struck something not clay. Just about 4 inches beneath this giant's shoulder. [00:57:50] Speaker B: All right, I'm. I'm going to keep on keeping on. Do I get. Do I get a second attack? [00:57:56] Speaker A: Sure. Stab again, young man. [00:58:00] Speaker B: 23. [00:58:01] Speaker A: Oh, say again. [00:58:03] Speaker B: 23. [00:58:05] Speaker A: And. [00:58:05] Speaker B: And that is a three plus three for six. Yeah, I like the idea that he's hitting something and he's trying to figure out. I guess the idea is I try to figure out what exactly could be if it's. If it's a. Like a skeleton underneath or if it's. [00:58:23] Speaker A: The second damage was six damage. Okay, again, Steve, you hear that? Sort of that. [00:58:34] Speaker F: It'S got some metal. [00:58:35] Speaker A: Inside and you are fast sinking. Your boots are sinking into the top. Next on deck is 14. That is rook slash old foot. [00:58:51] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:58:53] Speaker A: And then Kaitoa, you are next on deck. [00:58:58] Speaker C: Is Steve in quicksand? Is that what I'm seeing here? [00:59:02] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Clay golem Steve on shoulder. [00:59:06] Speaker C: Oh, well, I'm gonna have to attack this mother. And I am going to try and target in around Steve to try and get him out of his quicksandy situation. [00:59:26] Speaker A: Well, you're trying to attack the area where Steve is on this golem's back. [00:59:33] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm trying to take a chunk out to help Steve and get him loose. One hit, two hit bonus action. First hit is. Is 19. My second one is 19. [00:59:49] Speaker A: No problem. You are slashing in. [00:59:54] Speaker C: Okay. Where's my D8s? Trusty D8s. First one is going to be a 6. The second one is going to be a 4. Damage. But I've got the voltaic charge, so I'm gonna help use that. I'm gonna actually use that voltaic charge as well. Try to lodge Steve loose. [01:00:25] Speaker A: Magic resistance. [01:00:28] Speaker C: Son of a bee. Dirty die. [01:00:33] Speaker A: Saving throws against spells and other magical. Yes. [01:00:36] Speaker F: What was that? [01:00:36] Speaker D: Oh, nothing. [01:00:41] Speaker C: All right, well, it's got, well, 10 damage total to in around Steve's stuck leg. [01:00:50] Speaker A: Okay. Anything else in your move? [01:00:57] Speaker C: Can I swing? Actually, I'm gonna swing around, and I'm gonna have old foot grab his leg. [01:01:02] Speaker A: You're well out of range of anything other than say, Steve's foot. [01:01:07] Speaker B: What that's going for as you turn. [01:01:09] Speaker A: Around has a longbow, and he can certainly shoot at the area around Steve. Hey, that's not 20. [01:01:21] Speaker C: Nice. [01:01:23] Speaker A: Look at that. See, I can rearrange. That's six damage. [01:01:34] Speaker C: Does that lodge in just below Steve's foot? So he's got a little pedestal to stand on. [01:01:41] Speaker A: Oh, that is narratively sharp. Rook, I will award you inspiration. Steve, there is now not the danger of slipping off. You have one ladder rung. [01:02:01] Speaker C: You're welcome, Steve. [01:02:03] Speaker B: Is it Max Planck's cousin, Alan Stick. [01:02:07] Speaker D: Alan Stick. [01:02:11] Speaker A: We're gonna run out of physicists soon. Oldfoot is done, but it looks like he is knocking another arrow. Rook. And. Yeah, good call. So after 14, rook is Kaitawa. [01:02:29] Speaker F: So I imagine I got the bag open and I'm on my feet again. [01:02:34] Speaker A: Everything's at your disposal. You got the pile of stuff? [01:02:38] Speaker F: All right. If I was to try and use this amulet to control these golem parts, would that be an action? [01:02:51] Speaker A: I'd say that's your free action because you're just interacting with a small thing. [01:02:56] Speaker F: Okay, well, I'm gonna do that. [01:02:58] Speaker A: Okay. You take out the amulet and manipulate it. How? Based on what you've learned, I'm just. [01:03:08] Speaker F: Gonna try and hold it, I don't know, in my left fist. [01:03:15] Speaker A: Okay. As you pass it from hand to hand. Kaitoa. Immediately, there's that magnetism. The material is being drawn towards the amulet. And as long as you are holding it, just so you know, with your fingers on the divots, as you press tighter on this little dowel. Oh, boy. This stuff is animating really fast towards you, this jumble of parts. [01:03:43] Speaker F: Okay. Is it like it's coming at me? [01:03:46] Speaker A: Oh, yes. And now they are just again, reaching, reaching towards that amulet. [01:03:53] Speaker F: Okay. Are they, like, trying to join Me in any way or are they like. [01:03:59] Speaker A: Can you roll a 1D4? Yeah, I don't know the answer to this question. [01:04:07] Speaker C: Don't have out. [01:04:10] Speaker F: Two. [01:04:11] Speaker A: No. You know, they're not enveloping you. They're being drawn towards the amulet still. Yeah. [01:04:19] Speaker F: Okay, I. I'm just gonna dash towards. [01:04:22] Speaker A: The golem, Then the parts follow behind you almost mid air now, as you speed up and run, what, 80ft to reach where Rook is at the foot of the golem. [01:04:36] Speaker F: And you said I get one attack. [01:04:38] Speaker A: Yes, you would now still have one regular attack. [01:04:43] Speaker F: All right. Yeah, I guess I'm gonna have to use a bonus to enhance enrage. [01:04:50] Speaker A: Okay, now you're enraged. [01:04:53] Speaker F: Yeah, I don't have an attack on top of that, do I? [01:04:56] Speaker A: You haven't attacked yet. [01:04:58] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. I guess I had to attack. One attack, you said? [01:05:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:05:01] Speaker F: Okay. [01:05:02] Speaker A: And so you can use your bonus action before you attack. It's all interchangeable. Bye bye. [01:05:07] Speaker F: All right, I'm reckless attacking Vodog, and I'm using great weapon mastery. Smack the out of this thing. I'm gonna take the 17. Does it hit? [01:05:19] Speaker A: Hit? [01:05:21] Speaker F: So 17 is my one that actually. [01:05:23] Speaker A: Hit several damage with the Vodog, the giant axe. [01:05:28] Speaker F: Okay. It is D12, which is 7 plus 7, which is 14, plus 10, which is 24 for damage. [01:05:43] Speaker A: That is the great weapon mastery. Yeah, the plus 10. So what are you aiming for here? Because I'm gonna let you describe what part of this golem you just cleaved off. [01:05:55] Speaker F: Well, I mean, how tall is the golem? [01:05:58] Speaker A: 27Ft. Although now it's stooping with Steve on its shoulder to as low as sort of maybe 20ft as it stoops over and Rook is half hacking away at its sort of mid flanks. [01:06:12] Speaker F: Well, I'd like to aim for, like, chest midsection, but I imagine he's too high. So I'm gonna. Yeah. Try and chop his leg off. [01:06:27] Speaker A: Yeah, you do that. [01:06:30] Speaker F: Okay. And then also he's gonna do a D12 con save. [01:06:35] Speaker A: Okay, this is a plus four. No problem there, buddy. [01:06:41] Speaker F: He beat it. [01:06:42] Speaker A: He beat it. Is it halfed? [01:06:45] Speaker F: Thank God. No, it just fails. Or it didn't hit. [01:06:49] Speaker A: Oh. The lightning tries to erupt, but it seems to be smothered by the clay. [01:06:59] Speaker F: Yeah, but he now has one leg. [01:07:05] Speaker A: And he crashes down onto the lower two stairs of the temple of Dan. Steve, you're gonna be reduced in height by about probably 10ft. Like, the golem is now missing a leg below the knee. [01:07:25] Speaker F: Perfect. [01:07:31] Speaker A: And that is where we will have to leave you until the next time on Dungeons and Blackers. [01:08:50] Speaker D: Oh, it could have been. [01:08:53] Speaker F: It's okay. [01:08:54] Speaker D: Feel like she was damn close to death too. [01:08:57] Speaker B: It did a fair amount of damage, that's for sure. [01:09:00] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:09:00] Speaker D: Oh yeah. And Rob was adamant about asking if it was over 30. [01:09:06] Speaker F: He I want to know. I don't know if anyone heard that, but if you use Thunder Damage on a clay golem, will it turn to glass? [01:09:16] Speaker B: No, I don't think so. [01:09:19] Speaker F: But it's made of sand. [01:09:24] Speaker D: That's not how it works, Kaitoa. [01:09:27] Speaker B: That can happen. Is that we get to follow up this combat with a real big friend.
