[00:00:01] Speaker A: Welcome, friends and adventurers to another episode of Dungeons and Blaggards. I am the dungeon Master, Robulon. Joining me in no particular order are the players. Eric! [00:00:16] Speaker B: I'm Eric and I'm playing Dr. Zozo Brightfeather. She is a level nine Aarakocra artificer potionsmith. Brandon! [00:00:25] Speaker B: I'm Ekurook Punschley. Level nine blood hunter, half orc. Caleb! [00:00:32] Speaker B: I'm a level nine warforged barbarian: Kaitoa Tata. Braeden! [00:00:40] Speaker C: Hey, I'm Braeden. I'm playing half elf, Beleg Dygar, Level 9 hexblade warlock. Tomo! [00:00:50] Speaker B: Hey, I'm playing Steve Tehuman. I am a Gloomstalker Ranger level five, Battle Master Fighter, level three. And I have just a little schmeck of rogue. And I have an Owl. Vale! [00:01:06] Speaker B: I am playing Johawk the Gnoll, a champion fighter 4, Bear totem barbarian five. [00:01:20] Speaker A: Previously on Dungeons and Blaggards. Trapped in the transport void and searching for a way to complete their journey, the the party finally is able to rematerialize, but not where they may have anticipated. A permanent circle of transportation. The three they had known prior, but instead. The Chamber of Rube, a gelatinous cube. Then, through a series of four levels of this completely brass tower, the party makes their way through various hatches. Zozo drops a line. At first they see chicken, cooked chicken and constructs moving around on these floors seemingly autonomously. Grappling hooks are thrown. There are some of these winch constructs that are destroyed by Kaitoa and Zozo and harvested for their parts. They pry open another trapdoor. And finally, after hatch construct number two is destroyed, a dark level severs the arms of Kaitoa and Beleg with a chop. And they come crashing down onto the floor. And what now? The party who seeks the fate of not one but two of their friends, Mem the Wizard and Gurm-Micky, purported to be in these very same towers. [00:03:05] Speaker C: So Mem and Gurm are in here? [00:03:09] Speaker E: No, they're. Yeah, well, we think they're in the tower somewhere. [00:03:13] Speaker B: They were taken by the Wizards Guild, hostage [00:03:16] Speaker D: but right now it's like fuck Meminger. I just lost my arm. [00:03:25] Speaker C: You can get a cool chainsaw one, it'll be better. [00:03:32] Speaker D: How about I take your arm, Rook? [00:03:36] Speaker C: Well, I don't like your odds being one armed against me right now. [00:03:39] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:03:42] Speaker A: Can you roll a constitution saving throw. Kaitoa, you feel at the moment there is no further damage. Beleg, you're bleeding out. [00:03:55] Speaker E: I rolled in 19 plus 2, so 21. [00:03:59] Speaker A: Unbelievable. And what would you say you're doing in this moment to staunch the blood flow? [00:04:05] Speaker E: Well, Robulon, it's pretty common practice to apply pressure to the wound, and that's exactly what Beleg is doing. He's also probably freaking out a little bit. [00:04:19] Speaker B: Yeah, I think Zozo goes into a triage mode and starts tending to as. [00:04:25] Speaker D: Of a one. [00:04:28] Speaker G: Step back in a little bit of shock because I wanted to go up there first. [00:04:35] Speaker E: Well, you should have rolled worse. [00:04:38] Speaker D: I didn't want to go up there at all. [00:04:43] Speaker A: As Kaitoa laments, gnoll, you take a step back and indeed, you know, as you look up, the almost hairline seam has reformed in the upper ceiling of that next trap door. Can you roll medicine, Dr. Zozo? Whoops. [00:05:03] Speaker B: Oh, that is an 11. [00:05:07] Speaker A: Okay. It's a very quick assessment here. Appendage loss with massive blood loss. [00:05:15] Speaker B: She turns to the rest of them and says, go get those arms. I'm gonna try to keep this. Keep belly from bleeding out. [00:05:23] Speaker E: Yeah, same rock. [00:05:24] Speaker D: Someone else put their head back up there. [00:05:26] Speaker G: I don't know if I want to go up there. [00:05:30] Speaker E: Do I feel like. Do I still feel a connection to my magic? [00:05:35] Speaker A: Right. It was the forearm with Anansewa's tattoo on it. And you do not hear the whispering of Anansewa. [00:05:48] Speaker F: All right, can Stolas. Can you. [00:05:53] Speaker A: Can you go through the ethereal plane. [00:05:57] Speaker D: And pop up there and grab the arms? [00:05:59] Speaker G: Yes. [00:06:02] Speaker F: I can. I can send my familiar, like, blink my familiar 30ft. [00:06:07] Speaker A: This is well in range of that. And yes, the trap door has resealed. [00:06:15] Speaker F: If I've seen the. The space before the trapdoor stopped, then would I potentially be able to send Stolas there? [00:06:24] Speaker A: Yeah, you definitely, you know, regarded the space directly above where the trapdoor was, and certainly you can do so. [00:06:34] Speaker F: Yeah, I'd like. What I'd like to do is try to blink, Stolas, Find one of the appendages, blink them back. [00:06:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Both appendages remain on that upper darkened level of the brass tower here. Okay. Steve, Zozo, what are you doing with the patient then? Kaitoa, Rook, Johawk, what are you doing? [00:07:00] Speaker B: I think right now I'm just basically getting whatever I can use as a bandage or just trying to keep pressure on the wound, keep it. Keep the blood from. I don't want to heal him yet because I don't want the wound to heal over until we've attempted to reattach the arm. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Got it. [00:07:20] Speaker B: I think right now it's just. Just keeping the blood in there. [00:07:24] Speaker C: And I'm Surveying the - or well, the trap where the trap door was. And I'm contemplating casting unseen servant to reopen it. Actually, I'll probably just go ahead and do that. [00:07:39] Speaker A: Ah. Okay. The unseen servant. Rook, you cast the unseen servant spell. [00:07:47] Speaker C: Yeah. And I'm gonna have him go to reopen the trapdoor. [00:07:54] Speaker A: And so unseen servant is going up there. Stolas, you are going up there and trying to be summoned there. Okay. That's Rook. Okay. Kaitoa, Johawk. What are you doing here? As the party makes their various actions. [00:08:07] Speaker G: I'm thinking of ways to break that trapdoor so it doesn't shut on us again when we go up. [00:08:14] Speaker A: Brace it or block it. [00:08:15] Speaker D: Okay, I'm trying to. I'm seeing if the construct parts will re gather themselves as soon as this door opens. [00:08:26] Speaker A: Well, can you roll the 1D 4. You formed a bond with these parts. [00:08:34] Speaker D: 3. Ah. [00:08:36] Speaker A: Here you find them completely willing. And the very same moment that you think this thought parts and the jumbled bits begin to coalesce up your forearm. [00:08:52] Speaker E: Beleg looks over in extreme jealousy. Must be nice. [00:09:02] Speaker D: Apply pressure. [00:09:04] Speaker G: Look on the bright side, Beleg. You can eat your arm when we're done with this. [00:09:09] Speaker C: Wasn't there more construct parts? That way maybe we can get Beleg. [00:09:13] Speaker A: And robot arm some on my face. [00:09:20] Speaker E: Turn that muzzle into muscle. Got it. [00:09:24] Speaker D: He's gotta have a like homing beacon or a bit of a stone or something they want to bind to. [00:09:32] Speaker E: I have lodestones from. From some magic pouch. If I could try and shove a lodestone in my nubbin [00:09:44] Speaker D: I'll tell you where you can shove a lode stone. [00:09:50] Speaker C: Where. [00:09:50] Speaker A: Where did it. [00:09:51] Speaker B: Where on the arm did it get cut off? Is it below the elbow or above? [00:09:54] Speaker E: Below, if I recall correctly. [00:09:56] Speaker G: Okay. [00:09:57] Speaker D: Does that mean I can will Beleg's potential robot arm to do things? Yeah. [00:10:11] Speaker C: Well, there's that shovel construct too, right? [00:10:14] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:10:15] Speaker B: And we have a winch. All the parts from the winch construct as well. [00:10:20] Speaker E: Go go Gadget Beleg? [00:10:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:10:23] Speaker A: So we'll go back to the top of the order. Stolas appears. Materializes. There has been a challenge though. Steve, as you materialize Stolas through the brass floor, you have lost communication with them. [00:10:41] Speaker B: Row. Row. [00:10:43] Speaker A: Now, there is about a minute, guys. There's a minute where Stolas is gone. And Steve, you're looking up there. So now we'll deal with everybody else or. Steve, what are you doing in this moment? As there's a complete lack of communication from Stolas. [00:11:02] Speaker E: He's probably. [00:11:04] Speaker F: Yeah, I mean, I guess I'm gonna be focusing on trying to get some sort of. Some sort of answer. [00:11:12] Speaker D: Putting gorp on it. [00:11:15] Speaker F: Yeah, Pouring some gorp on it. Chewing gorp and concentrating. [00:11:20] Speaker A: Okay, the ranger boy is focusing. Next, Rook, your unseen servant. What precisely would you have them do? You know, they are formless. What are they doing as they approach the trapdoor? [00:11:35] Speaker C: So they can still do things like fetching and simple tasks. So I would have him performing the. [00:11:45] Speaker B: Same. [00:11:48] Speaker C: Or attempting to perform the same action to spring open that trapdoor again. [00:11:54] Speaker A: Okay, can everybody roll a group history, quick. Group history. And rook, your unseen servant. Now you in your mind's eye, see them there at the trapdoor. The seam is barely visible. [00:12:09] Speaker B: Rolled a 14. [00:12:10] Speaker E: 14. 19. [00:12:13] Speaker A: 11. 12. [00:12:15] Speaker F: Steve also got a 19. [00:12:16] Speaker E: Oh, wow. 9. [00:12:18] Speaker A: 9. Johawk, what are you doing? [00:12:20] Speaker G: Here's one. [00:12:22] Speaker A: Overall, the party recalls this was the only door that seemed to open like clockwork on its own, going down the list there. So right now, your unseen servant seems to be frustrated at the seams. But somebody else seems said they were talking about the. Was that you, Joe Hawk? [00:12:40] Speaker G: I was thinking of ways to break it open. [00:12:43] Speaker A: Break it open and then wedge it open or keep it open if it opens. [00:12:47] Speaker G: I was thinking of smashing its hinges and then pushing it away from whatever might try to drop it on us. [00:12:57] Speaker A: Let's see. You would recall that these trapdoors have no hinges. You know, they seem to be a perfect brass plate with no physical mechanical hinges. [00:13:12] Speaker C: Hey, Rob. So if it opens like clockwork, do we know? Like, is it every 5 minutes, 10 minutes? Is it on the half hour? Like, have we experienced that? [00:13:24] Speaker D: We've only seen it open once, so we wouldn't really have a gauge of time. [00:13:28] Speaker C: No. Too bad. [00:13:30] Speaker E: We killed all the constructs before Kaitoa can talk to them. [00:13:34] Speaker A: Aha. Okay. So the party would recall it was about 20 minutes that you were down at rube's level, and it was about kind of five minutes per level that you were spending. You would recall that the rube to next floor level was opened by a construct. The next trapdoor opened automatically. Construct and hook drop through the next one you pried open to the windowed level where you are now. And the one above that opened, you know, from your perspective of its own accord. [00:14:11] Speaker D: So there's a chance this is like a feeding trap door and it's just gonna open based on like the feeding hour, so. [00:14:19] Speaker B: Well, it must have opened. Rob. [00:14:24] Speaker E: Aren't we? [00:14:24] Speaker B: Because the chickens came down, like when we were in rube's chamber. [00:14:30] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:14:31] Speaker B: So the chickens must have come from up there. So it must have opened before 15, 20 minutes ago. [00:14:37] Speaker D: Yeah. Before the rooms above us from Rubes. It must have opened before that to let them down. [00:14:44] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:14:46] Speaker D: And they're. So there might be a rotation. And there's gotta be like if there is a clunk that we heard, there is some kind of a clockwork. So there's gotta be like a peg and like a groove system or rotating clock. [00:15:06] Speaker E: A peg and groove system. That's a weird dance style, man. [00:15:10] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:15:13] Speaker E: Makes sense. [00:15:15] Speaker D: So I think who's ever got the best, I don't know, wisdom? [00:15:21] Speaker E: Would it be perception or investigation? [00:15:24] Speaker B: Oh, I've got a good investigation. [00:15:27] Speaker A: Beleg as you chat on. And the owl doctor, you know, staunches the bleeding. All of a sudden, Stolas rematerializes no arm. There is a little bit of green goo on one of Stolas talons. [00:15:52] Speaker E: You just go smoke a dude with rube. [00:15:54] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:15:57] Speaker F: Am I familiar with this goo? Have I seen it before? [00:16:00] Speaker A: Perception on the goo and Beleg in particular. [00:16:06] Speaker E: Yep. [00:16:07] Speaker A: You will notice something about that candelabra. [00:16:12] Speaker E: I was wondering about that. [00:16:14] Speaker A: That you brought with you. [00:16:16] Speaker E: What am I noticing? [00:16:18] Speaker A: Seems to. You know those four little green flames on them. Yes. There's a similarity in color with these little bits of goo on Stolas talons. [00:16:31] Speaker E: Same green color. Interesting. What happens if I touch the flame? [00:16:38] Speaker A: Can you roll Arcana? [00:16:40] Speaker E: Yeah. Poorly. [00:16:44] Speaker A: And then Steve, do you recognize? Bears a resemblance to the gelatinous matter that you're familiar with a couple floors down. [00:16:56] Speaker B: The root controls all transport. Like transportation? [00:17:00] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:17:00] Speaker B: Here. So Stolas may not have ended up where you you wanted him to. [00:17:08] Speaker E: My arcana was 16. Rup. [00:17:10] Speaker D: Does that mean our arms are down in Rube's belly? [00:17:14] Speaker F: Is he eating your arms? [00:17:18] Speaker A: Your magic sense Beleg is is much changed now. The spirit of Anansewa does not seem to have a direct connection with your psyche. But nonetheless, you can tell. These four little flames, they give off no heat. They give off minimal light. And now you realize they're little blobs of goo. Each of them is a spell slot. One is a first level spell slot. One is a second level spell slot. And. And so on. [00:17:53] Speaker E: Ooh. [00:17:54] Speaker B: Oh, nice. [00:17:55] Speaker A: And as you hold the candelabra in your left hand. Rest of the party. What are you doing? [00:18:03] Speaker D: Kaitoa's imagining an arm. Are any construct parts reforming an arm? [00:18:12] Speaker A: Kaitoa, what else are you imagining? As this arm form. [00:18:19] Speaker D: A complete arm. [00:18:24] Speaker A: Can you roll a wisdom or intelligence? Your choice. [00:18:29] Speaker D: I'm Imagining my pre existing arm. [00:18:32] Speaker A: Okay. [00:18:33] Speaker D: And all the shapes and forms that it used to have and the things that when no one was looking, I loved about. [00:18:44] Speaker F: That was his jerking arm. [00:18:47] Speaker A: It's always full of oil. [00:18:49] Speaker D: 18 minus one. Yeah, it was perfectly lubed. [00:18:52] Speaker A: 18 minus one. [00:18:53] Speaker F: Okay. [00:18:53] Speaker A: So over 15. Well, Kaitoa, as this happens, you realize what you've always wanted is at your fingertips. The 15ft or 20ft of steel cable. [00:19:11] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:19:12] Speaker A: The crossbow on your back. You realize in this moment as the parts are forming, why you could integrate anything into this arm. [00:19:22] Speaker D: Kaitoa puts his stump against the crossbow and also just imagines his arm wrapping around this crossbow. [00:19:35] Speaker A: Well, there. There is a very strange event happening here in the same moment that we have the triage of Beleg. We have the self repair of Kaitoa. And yeah. That huge gnollish crossbow. [00:19:49] Speaker D: Yep. [00:19:51] Speaker A: Is now forming onto your forearm. You still gave yourself a hand that kind of cocks down at the wrist, but this thing is well sized for your massive frame. And then. Yeah, I mean. I mean Johawk, Rook, Zozo, Steve, who just got stolas back there and Beleg. You see Kaitoa reformed. [00:20:16] Speaker B: Zozo's trying real hard not to get distracted, but she really thinks that's cool. [00:20:20] Speaker E: Belleg just stares down at. [00:20:26] Speaker C: Rook's gonna give Kaitoa's new arm a high five. [00:20:31] Speaker E: Rook takes a crossbow bolt to the. [00:20:32] Speaker D: Yeah. I'm careful not to shoot off into Rook's open hand. [00:20:44] Speaker C: No, premature. No premature shooting. [00:20:46] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:20:47] Speaker B: I swear it's never happened before. [00:20:50] Speaker A: That's. That's too good not to ask you. Can you roll a dexterity saving throw, Kaitoa? [00:20:55] Speaker D: Yeah, of course. You mean a premature shooting throw just in case. [00:21:01] Speaker C: I imagine he's got to be straight. [00:21:04] Speaker B: Up in the air. [00:21:04] Speaker C: High fiving. [00:21:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:21:06] Speaker D: Yeah. If it is gonna go off, it's not in anyone's eye. [00:21:09] Speaker A: Yeah, it's gonna shoot into the ceiling. [00:21:12] Speaker D: What do I got? Axe? [00:21:15] Speaker A: I think it's a DC15. Dexterity saving throat. Ooh. [00:21:19] Speaker D: It is a 13 plus 2. [00:21:22] Speaker A: Meats and pizza. You realize just in this moment how sensitive your new weapon is. But luckily it doesn't go off. [00:21:33] Speaker C: It's. [00:21:33] Speaker D: It's kind of like someone rubs your thigh and you're like. [00:21:40] Speaker A: I made it. [00:21:42] Speaker D: I didn't shoot. [00:21:44] Speaker C: Ah. [00:21:45] Speaker A: Okay. Bella, can you roll another constitution saving throw? And you have advantage on this one. [00:21:53] Speaker E: That's a ten plus two is the good. The good roll. [00:21:56] Speaker A: Okay. Not feeling great. Very, very pale. Your dark olive half elf skin begins to drain of color. And you have taken 14 blood loss damage. [00:22:12] Speaker E: Rob, is. [00:22:14] Speaker C: Is the winch parts like the metal winch part, I guess rope. Is it accessible? [00:22:23] Speaker A: It is part of Kaitoa's body. Okay. [00:22:28] Speaker E: Hey, Zozo. [00:22:31] Speaker C: Yeah? [00:22:32] Speaker B: I mixed up fortifying fumes. [00:22:34] Speaker D: You got it? [00:22:35] Speaker E: Yeah. Pretty shitty. [00:22:39] Speaker A: Okay. Beleg is delirious. Fortifying fumes to the rescue. [00:22:43] Speaker B: So that will be two D6 plus four temporary hit points. [00:22:50] Speaker E: Do you roll or do I? [00:22:52] Speaker B: I do. [00:22:54] Speaker C: I'm gonna ask Kaitoa if he's got any of his knitting yarn. [00:22:59] Speaker D: I. I could suture. Yeah. [00:23:03] Speaker B: Nine temporary hit points plus advantage on the next constitution saving throw. [00:23:09] Speaker E: Thank you. That brings me up from 2 hit points to 11. [00:23:14] Speaker C: Kaitoa, could I have. So you're knitting yarn? I'm gonna. So that way I can tie it tightly around Beleg's wounds. So that way it stems the bleeding. [00:23:24] Speaker E: Beleg's like deliriously looking back and forth to Kaitoa's cool new arm and like kind of playing around with putting the candelabra in his nubbin. I got a robot arm too. [00:23:45] Speaker D: He's delirious. [00:23:48] Speaker A: Belleg. Can you roll for performance? [00:23:52] Speaker C: And I gotta tourniquet t his arm. [00:23:55] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. [00:23:56] Speaker A: That'll give an advantage to the next medicine or constitution saving throw. Or it might half the next blood loss. We'll see. [00:24:05] Speaker E: That was a three plus three. Very delirious. [00:24:10] Speaker D: I got a plus one medicine. Anyone got anything better? [00:24:14] Speaker C: Zozo should probably. [00:24:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I've got six medicine. [00:24:18] Speaker D: Well, here's some makeshift rope if you want to tourniquet his arm from bleeding. But it's also gonna stop it from bleeding, which means it might actually die. [00:24:31] Speaker C: Better than him dying. [00:24:33] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [00:24:34] Speaker B: If it's just. Should hopefully just be for a few minutes here. Is anyone working on trying to get that door open or are we just waiting for it? [00:24:41] Speaker C: My unseen servant does it until he's performed the task. So he'll be doing it relentlessly until he can figure it out. Well, he said he be working, trying to figure it out. So any sort of. [00:24:54] Speaker D: All right. [00:24:55] Speaker C: Yeah, like any sort of mechanism or anything around there, he'd be looking for it. But that being said, Rob, I do want to perform grim psychometry on it to see if there's any arcana kind of like evil magic around it or pass from it. They'll take me 10 minutes to do that. Focus on it. [00:25:20] Speaker B: Okay. [00:25:20] Speaker A: To have a ritual there. [00:25:22] Speaker G: I'm gonna get up and try pushing it open. [00:25:26] Speaker F: Steve's been having one of those like weird conversations where he's kind of just been chatting with Stolas on his own. And then very suddenly. We need to get up there now. Unless Beleg wants to lose that arm. [00:25:44] Speaker E: No. [00:25:45] Speaker D: Okay. [00:25:46] Speaker F: The cube up there and Beleg's arm is inside it. [00:25:51] Speaker D: Okay, so. [00:25:53] Speaker B: Joe, do you think you guys can smash through? [00:25:56] Speaker G: If I had my maul. [00:26:02] Speaker F: I have no idea what you're talking about. [00:26:05] Speaker A: Johawk, can you roll a strength and an acrobatics? [00:26:13] Speaker G: Okay, this one is strength, this one is acrobatics. Not that you guys can see that, but strength was a natural. Two acrobatics was. [00:26:22] Speaker E: Oh, shit. We're gonna get another pirate member. [00:26:28] Speaker G: I'm not trying to push it all the way open. I'm just trying to see if it can give way. [00:26:32] Speaker A: Yeah, you're testing the seams. And you'll actually have advantage on that strength because Rook's unseen servant, you can't tell, but there's another force up there. [00:26:45] Speaker G: So instead of a natural two, I. [00:26:46] Speaker D: Get the upper rook of. [00:26:50] Speaker G: Is this athletics? [00:26:51] Speaker A: So you manage to do the huge vault, you know, up to see if you could test the seams with your gnollish claws and fingernails. And what was your second strength roll as you feel aided up here? [00:27:05] Speaker G: Roll of 23. [00:27:08] Speaker A: Guys, this seam is just barely giving like you saw Steve two levels ago. Pry it open. It seems it can be forced. [00:27:21] Speaker D: All right. [00:27:22] Speaker G: If I had my maul, I could break it. [00:27:27] Speaker B: Here's my [00:27:29] Speaker A: Alright, I give him the maul. [00:27:35] Speaker B: Very reluctantly, hand him the maul. [00:27:38] Speaker D: I want my maul. I want my maul. [00:27:42] Speaker C: You better break it. [00:27:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Get ready with some daggers just in case. [00:27:49] Speaker A: Okay, guys, if the party is taking, you know, Steve's cue here, the time is of the essence. Yeah. Describe what you're doing. And Johawk, would you like to immediately, having been handed your maul, attack the door? [00:28:05] Speaker G: Yes. [00:28:07] Speaker A: Okay, that would be another strength check. [00:28:10] Speaker G: 24 strength. [00:28:13] Speaker A: Okay, that doesn't do it, guys. You see a ferocious upward leap and a huge uppercut. Whack. But the door does not budge. And you know, Rook, your unseen servant up there is jostled a little bit, but he's still around. Anybody else? [00:28:30] Speaker E: How's your elbow feel, Johawk. [00:28:35] Speaker G: Gonna try again. [00:28:36] Speaker C: I'm still doing my grim psychometry to figure it out. [00:28:41] Speaker A: Okay, Rob, you're out for 10 minutes, okay? [00:28:43] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:28:44] Speaker E: Do I have any idea what these spell slots are for? [00:28:50] Speaker A: Can you roll a quick intelligence? [00:28:53] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. My best stat. It's a 13 minus one, so 12. [00:29:01] Speaker A: Beleg, you realize there are four spells. These are Spell Slots for whomever holds the candelabra. [00:29:10] Speaker E: But is it like a spell slot that I can use for any spell or there are spells that are like channeled through, like specific spells that predetermined only work. [00:29:22] Speaker A: Yeah, I see. You would need to do a attunement or have it identified. [00:29:31] Speaker E: Okay. It is useless to me right now [00:29:36] Speaker D: Can I look around the room like, I don't know, like token slot or kind of like passcode? Kind of like, is there something I can swipe to let me into the next room? [00:29:52] Speaker A: Like your brass towers broach? [00:29:55] Speaker D: Yeah. My medallion. Yeah. [00:29:57] Speaker A: You know, all of these floors have been virtually identical. The dark ones with no windows are, you know, perfectly round petri dish shaped levels. And the ones with windows, the only thing that differs is there are six windows. There are the parts of, you know, there's the little smush on the ground of the construct that Johawk destroyed. Yeah, but otherwise it's like a sterile, empty floor. [00:30:29] Speaker D: Did the construct parts have anything that actually stands out that would like, you know, like a beacon or a chip? [00:30:38] Speaker A: When you and Zozo destroyed the winch one and when the second one was destroyed, they seemed to be a conglomeration of metal parts, some glass parts. For the ones that had little ocular parts, one of them had little treads, little wheels, but they seemed very rudimentary. [00:31:00] Speaker D: Oh, also, how. How long of a winch did they get? [00:31:04] Speaker A: I think you got 20ft of cable. [00:31:07] Speaker D: Okay, sweet. [00:31:08] Speaker B: That's important. [00:31:09] Speaker D: I mean, I'm just picturing some repelling action. I need to know how long that. [00:31:16] Speaker A: Is all of a sudden, because you remember how high up you are. The sun crests to your level and you feel it must be getting near to noon. It must be getting near to the middle of the day. And as the sun now hits the western brass tower and reflects back into your level, you guys are bathed in a warm light like the sun. [00:31:45] Speaker E: Beleg reflexively goes to cover his eyes from the new bright light that entered the room. And it does absolutely nothing because there's no hand there. [00:31:56] Speaker A: He just puts his forearm in front of the body. [00:32:02] Speaker E: What if. Kaitoa, you should whack the door too. [00:32:08] Speaker G: This guy has rolled three Natural 19s in a row. If this is an attack with them all, then I crit if Steve's been. [00:32:16] Speaker F: Here before, albeit many, many, many years ago. Is there any way that Steve can try to glean some concept of how these doors were open when he was last here? [00:32:31] Speaker A: First roll a history, then roll wisdom. [00:32:35] Speaker D: Seems like a badass history. [00:32:37] Speaker F: Check History is gonna be a little bit harder, but we'll see what happens. So history first, then wisdom after. [00:32:45] Speaker C: Mm. [00:32:48] Speaker F: That's awesome. 19 for history and then wisdom is 15. [00:32:58] Speaker A: Steve, you remember being brought through Maw to Kozzem as a four year old boy. You remember virtually nothing about the brass towers. You were very briefly kept in the school on the western cliffs near the western tower. And all you recollect is some of the levels of the western tower, but that's all nothing specific about the doors other than one thing. Time based. [00:33:46] Speaker D: Robin, is there anything that can reflect light into like any kind of a hole? We're in a windowed room and there's no. We're in a windowed room and there's like the sun going down. Like did these robots reflect a light into some kind of hole to open a door? [00:34:05] Speaker E: If it's time based, I think we just have to wait. [00:34:08] Speaker D: Yeah, but. [00:34:10] Speaker A: It will be Kaitoa. Sure. As you look at the, you know, the light coming in through the windows, I mean it does cast pretty brilliant beams across the room and the beams are tracing across the walls. So yeah, roller perception. [00:34:26] Speaker G: That earlier 19, was that an attack roll or was that just a strength check? Using them all. [00:34:32] Speaker A: We're gonna go attack roll now. As you go. Beast mode. [00:34:36] Speaker G: So that was a, that was a crit. So I'm rolling 4D6. [00:34:41] Speaker D: Okay, I got the dirty 20 for perception. [00:34:45] Speaker G: Okay, 20 damage to the door. [00:34:49] Speaker A: He literally dents the door and you see a little aperture open and there is black inky darkness. But there is now a fissure, an opening there. And Kaitoa, in that very same moment, you trace the path of the light through the windows along the wall. It doesn't seem to hold any, any secrets except for your view, your eagle eye view. Right? You can see very far. [00:35:21] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:35:22] Speaker A: Look out the window and there is something happening at the mid level balcony or plateau of the other tower. You see many figures crowded there. [00:35:39] Speaker D: Just some assholes holding the button laughing at us as he chops our arm off. How many figures? [00:35:51] Speaker A: There seem to be two dozen sort of small figures. [00:35:57] Speaker D: How, how far are they away from where I can see? [00:36:00] Speaker A: Okay, well you guys are about 400ft up, 44 to 45 levels up in a 60 level tower. This is down at level 30 of the opposite tower. [00:36:10] Speaker D: Okay, so my eagle sight is a mile. So I can read a sign from a mile. So I should be able to tell how many people, what race they are and what they have in their teeth. [00:36:24] Speaker A: You see clearly some type of interview or Class going on. And there is actually a goat there too, between what looks like perhaps two dozen small figures in robes. And then there are two figures, both between the huge fall that comes off of this balcony. I mean, you would fall hundreds of feet down to the cliff and the waterfall below. There doesn't seem to be a scroll. Nothing is being read. But you can divine these are wizard students. [00:37:11] Speaker B: Must be the noontime room where they gather at noon. [00:37:15] Speaker E: You better not make us go all Anakin on these kids. [00:37:18] Speaker D: Can anyone control animals? And we can make this goat fuck up the room. [00:37:25] Speaker G: I can speak with animals. [00:37:30] Speaker D: Yeah, make this goat just lose his shit. That would be funny. I'm like, being like, hey, here's everyone. Here's what they have under their fingernails. Like, I'm conveying every detail about everyone in this room and everything in this. Everything in this room down to the nitty gritty, including this goat. And I'm looking at Johawk being like, can you control this goat? [00:38:01] Speaker G: Can't control it, but I can see through its eyes. [00:38:04] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:38:05] Speaker G: 10 minutes. [00:38:06] Speaker D: Can you hear through him? [00:38:08] Speaker B: Do you see a transportation circle there. [00:38:12] Speaker D: Robin? [00:38:13] Speaker A: Oh, there is a transportation circle near the base of the western tower on one of the western cliffs. [00:38:25] Speaker D: Nice picture, man. That looks awesome. [00:38:27] Speaker E: That's pretty dope. Yeah. [00:38:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:38:31] Speaker C: Sweet. Hey, Rob, is my 10 minutes up on this meditating on the door? [00:38:38] Speaker A: Ah, yes it is. And as you come out of your trance, you have communed with Sarn, Rook. This is the new magic. Be careful. If you fall, no one will catch you here. [00:38:57] Speaker A: Dark purposes... Don't worry, Rook. [00:39:03] Speaker D: I got a grappling hook [00:39:04] Speaker G: I'll catch you. You want me to start the ritual? [00:39:15] Speaker A: Wait, no. [00:39:16] Speaker D: He was. [00:39:16] Speaker B: He's opening the door. Keep smashing that door. We need those arms. Don't mess with the goat! [00:39:23] Speaker A: Zozo, as you exclaim that, it is clear, the door has been in some way compromised. [00:39:31] Speaker D: I can. I can keep smashing the door. I also am a barbarian. [00:39:36] Speaker G: I see anything with my 60ft. [00:39:38] Speaker E: I told you you should smash. [00:39:42] Speaker A: Can you please roll on now? We're rolling on a seat. If you're not prying open and you. And you're attacking the now damaged door. The null. Damaged door. Go for it. [00:39:53] Speaker D: But if he can do intel through the goat ears like in this moment. [00:39:58] Speaker A: That scene below Kaitoa isn't changed. There seems to be some sort of class going on. [00:40:05] Speaker D: Yeah, I want to hear that shit. I think it's pretty good. We hear some intel on what's going on in that tower. [00:40:13] Speaker B: Stolas told us that we're about to lose the arms. [00:40:17] Speaker D: Yeah, that's true. Okay, sorry. [00:40:19] Speaker E: Beleg's wrestling around in his bag and he pulls out a little pouch of red frog that he has and he looks at Zozo and says, fuck it. If I'm going out, I'm going out high. [00:40:33] Speaker D: I turn and I do the like the Actar being like, I forgot I can put my arm back on. You can't. Stay safe. [00:40:43] Speaker A: There's so much happening. Beleg, you finally took the red frog and you are immediately transported back to the Feywild in your mind. You know, you go way, way back into your childhood and upbringing and training as one of the Dygari. And you're totally in respite from the pain. And Zozo, you see Beleg's head just go back in ecstasy. [00:41:14] Speaker G: You had red frog? [00:41:16] Speaker D: Kaitoa does like a whirlwind ax chop his new arm and does a dirty 20 on that door. Oh, actually, sorry. 26. Okay. [00:41:27] Speaker A: Fantastic. Fantastic Roll damage. [00:41:30] Speaker D: Great. Gross. [00:41:33] Speaker F: Can Steve help by applying pry bar as well? [00:41:37] Speaker A: Yes, you can either help Kaitoa with advantage. Let's see what Kaitoa does. [00:41:43] Speaker D: So 15. [00:41:44] Speaker A: Oh, that's pretty good, Steve. It doesn't seem like Kaitoa needs help on his move, but you can get up there with a pry bar. [00:41:51] Speaker D: It's a 15. And does the door have a CON? It's gonna be to D10. [00:41:59] Speaker A: Oh, you better believe this door's got some stats. Eight. [00:42:04] Speaker D: No, it does. It fails. Okay, so I get to roll a D8 for thunder damage. [00:42:12] Speaker E: Okay. [00:42:12] Speaker A: There's a crackle. [00:42:14] Speaker E: Oh. Oh, yeah. Lightning. I was like, wait a second. This whole tower could be conductive. [00:42:27] Speaker D: It's a five for thunder damage. [00:42:32] Speaker A: Okay. You feel like the door now is about 75% ruptured. It still has this pesky seam that is preventing it from being opened. And Beleg is just mumbling thunder and lightning. [00:42:48] Speaker F: I think that's where Steve is. Steve is kind of watching the damage being done to the door and is looking for a good place to apply some pry bar leverage. [00:42:59] Speaker G: Did I notice there were swords that attacked them when they came through? [00:43:03] Speaker F: Right. [00:43:04] Speaker D: There was a giant knife that sliced our arms off. [00:43:09] Speaker E: it was just the door itself that sliced our arm. [00:43:11] Speaker G: I thought it was the door slamming shut, but there was also some kind of bladed weapon. [00:43:16] Speaker D: No. Something cut our arms off and then the door slammed shut. [00:43:22] Speaker A: Beleg, you get inspiration. [00:43:25] Speaker E: Yes. [00:43:26] Speaker A: And in his stupor, the half elf warlock mutters. It was the trap door itself that severed the arms. [00:43:37] Speaker E: I got that good red frog clarity going on. [00:43:40] Speaker D: I'm sorry. I was just in a blind rage of getting my arm cut off. Really fucking pissed off. [00:43:48] Speaker G: I think we should prepare to party when we open this door. [00:43:53] Speaker D: Oh, Beleg's partying As he's tripping balls on red frog. [00:44:00] Speaker A: Steve, what did you want to roll with your pry bar? It's the same. You're either aiming for a skill based DC over 25, or you're rolling on AC to hit 25. [00:44:12] Speaker F: I want to do. I'd like to do skill. I'd like to somehow manage to make this more of a dexterity thing. I think what I'm trying to do is rather than use brawn, understand where the weak points are. [00:44:27] Speaker B: When. [00:44:27] Speaker F: When this door is getting hit, use. Use my pry bar to. To weaken that. [00:44:35] Speaker A: Well, the weak point is where the huge construct and the hulking knoll have ruptured it on each side. So it's this pesky non hinge. It's this pesky one seam that appears to be holding on. [00:44:53] Speaker F: Well, I think that's where I want to push the pry bar into. Then I'll have the yoke in that seam. [00:45:00] Speaker C: Servant working on that too with Steve. [00:45:02] Speaker A: And the guy on the couch is also up there. [00:45:07] Speaker D: The guy in it. Oh, man. [00:45:10] Speaker G: Yeah, the guy on the couch. [00:45:11] Speaker F: Did you kill my dog? [00:45:14] Speaker A: No. Steve, you will have advantage on your roll. And you feel the polite tap on the shoulder from Rook's unseen servant. Still just chilling up here upside down. [00:45:27] Speaker D: Does this. [00:45:27] Speaker F: Would this constitute thieves tools? [00:45:31] Speaker A: I was gonna say leverage. Any. Anything you can. [00:45:35] Speaker D: I was gonna say where's the rogue when we need one? [00:45:38] Speaker F: I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do it. Yeah. Thieves tool style. [00:45:43] Speaker D: he's like freaking out right now. [00:45:47] Speaker G: Thieve's tools. More like Steve's tools. [00:45:49] Speaker F: Steve's tools. That is a 21 kind of thing. [00:45:56] Speaker A: To add to that. Oh, advantage. You have advantage. [00:45:59] Speaker C: Oh. [00:46:02] Speaker F: No. Still, 21's the best I got. [00:46:04] Speaker A: You know, Steve has been ineffectual. [00:46:08] Speaker D: Can I give Steve the old inspiration to try that one again? I'm gonna give Steve the old Rudy chant. [00:46:19] Speaker F: Oh, that is better. So that is 25. [00:46:25] Speaker B: Beats it. [00:46:26] Speaker E: Beats it. [00:46:27] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:46:30] Speaker G: And the gelatinous cube falls out. [00:46:32] Speaker F: Yeah. On top. [00:46:35] Speaker D: And we're all covered in goo. [00:46:37] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:46:42] Speaker A: The door pops open and Rook, your unseen servant. How long is that? An hour or 10 minutes? [00:46:49] Speaker C: He's an hour. [00:46:50] Speaker A: He's an hour. Okay. He's still hanging out right there. And then rest of the party, you know, Although you don't fear immediate chopping, and the two barbarians, your danger sense that there is no suspended blade up here. There is no spring loaded guillotine. [00:47:05] Speaker G: I'm gonna pull out my bow. [00:47:07] Speaker B: Okay. [00:47:08] Speaker C: Can I put the unseen servant through? [00:47:11] Speaker A: You sure can. And you would have them do what? [00:47:15] Speaker C: Just check it out. I'm gonna put him through and go towards [00:47:18] Speaker A: Classic guy on the couch move. Just check it out. [00:47:24] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:47:26] Speaker A: And he moves out through the door and sees a 5x5 olive green luminescent gelatinous cube. There is an arm in it. [00:47:39] Speaker C: I'm gonna send him for the arm. [00:47:42] Speaker A: Can you make a DC12 grapple check. [00:47:45] Speaker A: Unseen servant. [00:47:47] Speaker D: Like, hey, guy on the couch, there's some spare food leftovers up in the cube. [00:47:53] Speaker C: Oh, that's a two. Unseen servant trapped. [00:48:00] Speaker G: Tempt me with the mention of leftovers. [00:48:02] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:48:04] Speaker C: I think it'll just end up killing him because he. He doesn't really last very long. There was no damage done to him. [00:48:10] Speaker A: He's just trapped at the moment he is grappled and inches away from reaching this arm. [00:48:20] Speaker D: Robin, can I see the tattooed arm from our level? [00:48:26] Speaker A: If you have peeked up after the servant? Yep. [00:48:29] Speaker C: Beleg, would you say your arm is more than 10 pounds? [00:48:33] Speaker E: I'm not Popeye, buddy. [00:48:35] Speaker C: Okay. I mage I'm mage handing it. [00:48:40] Speaker A: Oh boy. [00:48:41] Speaker C: The mage hand in there to grab it. [00:48:44] Speaker A: You're back down on the lower level and through your mind's eye. Yeah. Mage hand this. [00:48:50] Speaker E: My hand meets your mage hand with a firm, respectful handshake. [00:48:55] Speaker D: Oh, you mean they don't like interlock fingers? [00:49:03] Speaker E: This is a business transaction. [00:49:05] Speaker D: Okay. [00:49:06] Speaker C: I get a mage hand, grab the arm and retrieve it and bring it back down. [00:49:11] Speaker A: Do you have to roll on that or is that just something you do? Johawk, are you up there as well clambering? [00:49:20] Speaker G: Would that put me in a position to fire my bow at it? [00:49:23] Speaker A: Yeah, would indeed. [00:49:25] Speaker G: I'm going to ask the party. Can I shoot it? [00:49:28] Speaker E: Yes. [00:49:30] Speaker G: Knock an arrow and I let it fly. [00:49:32] Speaker E: Please don't shoot my hand as you. [00:49:36] Speaker A: Pop through the hatch. Definitely roll on AC at the cube. [00:49:42] Speaker C: So, Rob, I don't think I need to roll on my mage hand. Whether or not he can pull it out or retrieve it is up to you. But it's just a cantrip, right? [00:49:52] Speaker D: Well, yeah, you can pull it out. [00:49:55] Speaker A: The cube treats everything the same. DC 12 strength grapple 23 to hit it with my longbow. [00:50:04] Speaker A: Okay. [00:50:05] Speaker G: Hit Four damage. [00:50:07] Speaker C: And then Rob, if this is a strength based check against a grapple. So what is my adding my strength modifier? [00:50:14] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:50:16] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Well then that's 17. [00:50:19] Speaker A: That's gonna do it. [00:50:21] Speaker D: That will do it. What's Johawk shooting at then? [00:50:25] Speaker A: Cube In the exact same moment that a Gnollish arrow strikes the cube for how much damage. Four Or what you think to be four. [00:50:36] Speaker D: So he's just blindly firing into a cube of Jello. [00:50:40] Speaker G: I asked you guys first. [00:50:42] Speaker C: Okay. [00:50:43] Speaker D: No, I guess I'm just like clarifying that like you're shooting a cube of Jello with an arrow. [00:50:50] Speaker G: Yes. [00:50:52] Speaker F: This isn't some like some part of the greater Rube the Cube though. This is a different cube? [00:50:59] Speaker C: Yeah, this is Nube the Cube. [00:51:02] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:51:03] Speaker G: I get extra attack with my longbow. So I'm gonna fire again. [00:51:08] Speaker A: Steve, can you roll a wisdom? And in the exact same moment Beleg's arm is retrieved by the Rook Mage hand. Yay. [00:51:24] Speaker F: I natural crit 20 on the roll. [00:51:32] Speaker D: I'm also gonna try and use Johawk's muzzle pieces as a like metal band aid for Beleg's arm. Like those metal straps. [00:51:48] Speaker C: Ah. [00:51:49] Speaker D: Release them. I'm gonna envision them releasing from Johawk's muzzle and binding around Beleg's arm. That fucker's never coming off. [00:52:02] Speaker A: Well, definitely roll the 1D4 with advantage. So if it's low you can roll it again. Steve, your wisdom tells you immediately as you think to yourself, that is a piece of Rube the Cube. [00:52:18] Speaker D: Robin, I got a two rerolled for four. [00:52:23] Speaker A: Four means that the parts not only do what you want them to do at your command, but they also give an extra effect. [00:52:34] Speaker D: Yeah, Beleg [00:52:36] Speaker C: So he's reattaching his arm with these metal bits. [00:52:42] Speaker A: Johawk, you feel great. All of those muzzle construct parts are dancing off your face. [00:52:48] Speaker G: I'm gonna yawn really widely and do that kind of catty head shake back and forth really quickly. [00:52:55] Speaker C: I'm gonna look at him and say, you now have permission to go and eat that cube. [00:53:01] Speaker D: There's always room for Jello. [00:53:06] Speaker F: Steve. [00:53:06] Speaker B: Right. [00:53:11] Speaker C: Can I roll another strength against grapple for my unseen servant? [00:53:16] Speaker A: Sure. DC12. [00:53:18] Speaker D: So what does Bella get with his new arm? [00:53:21] Speaker A: Okay, Dr. Zozo, you have a new piece of material being delivered to this sunlit floor. From the dark upper floor comes Kaitoa bearing goo covered half elf arm. There's a bunch of construct parts coming around it. [00:53:43] Speaker D: So I imagine this works because Beleg has a lodestone too, so he's got a bit of control over these parts. [00:53:52] Speaker A: Delirious. Beleg, tell us about that lodestone. [00:53:56] Speaker E: Yeah, I've got a few lodestones. Don't I? [00:54:01] Speaker D: Yes. [00:54:02] Speaker E: Yeah. And you guys rummaged around in my rucksack. You'll find a little lodestone, a nice little, small black lodestone that you can. You can throw in into my nubbin. [00:54:18] Speaker F: All right. [00:54:19] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:54:19] Speaker B: Zozo finds the lodestones. [00:54:23] Speaker E: How's. How's child-Beleg doing in the Feywilds? [00:54:27] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, in the present moment, you indicate to your rucksack that there should be this component that everybody feels will be thrown into the mix. [00:54:38] Speaker F: You found the loadstone. [00:54:42] Speaker A: Rob. [00:54:43] Speaker C: On my strength against grapple is 18. [00:54:46] Speaker A: Nice. Okay. Your unseen servant breaks free of Nube The Cube. [00:54:57] Speaker C: Perfect. What. What else is around the room? I want him to inspect the room. [00:55:05] Speaker A: There's Kaitoa's severed forearm. [00:55:08] Speaker C: He'll grab that. [00:55:10] Speaker D: I would like that back. [00:55:12] Speaker C: I'll have the unseen servant grab. [00:55:15] Speaker D: Actually, do I still have control over that arm? [00:55:19] Speaker A: Well, you know everything. Now. That is a construct part is somewhat malleable. [00:55:27] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:55:28] Speaker F: Oh, dude. Give yourself like, you need one more arm and you can give yourself the Goro for Mortal Kombat. [00:55:36] Speaker D: Exactly. Two knives. [00:55:42] Speaker C: Unseen servant, retrieve it and drop it down. And I'll grab it and give it to Kaitoa. [00:55:48] Speaker A: Okay. With the evacuation mostly of the top floor, Johawk, you're the only one. At least the only physical one. The unseen servant now you feel is just hovering at the aperture. You're the only one with your upper torso, with another. What are you doing up there? You got another arrow knocked? [00:56:07] Speaker G: Is it moving towards me? [00:56:09] Speaker A: No. [00:56:10] Speaker G: And I attack it again. [00:56:13] Speaker F: Okay. [00:56:13] Speaker A: Roll on AC [00:56:14] Speaker G: I wanted. I want to see if this thing dies. [00:56:19] Speaker C: I think you should eat it. [00:56:22] Speaker G: Is that a command? [00:56:24] Speaker D: Robin, can I see that? Can I see my arm floating around? [00:56:29] Speaker C: It was more of a suggestion than a command. [00:56:32] Speaker G: I will take it under advisement. And then I loose the arrow. Eleven to hit. [00:56:40] Speaker D: Kaitoa will definitely grab my construct arm. [00:56:46] Speaker A: Okay, you actually. Are you trying to integrate it? [00:56:51] Speaker D: Not yet, no. [00:56:53] Speaker A: It's in your inventory. [00:56:54] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:56:55] Speaker G: Okay. [00:56:56] Speaker B: Zozo's doing surgery basically now trying to, yeah, she's cleaning the wounds and I guess making space for a load stone in there. [00:57:08] Speaker A: Yeah. Beleg What did you say? Shove it in my nubbin? [00:57:13] Speaker B: Yes. [00:57:14] Speaker E: And I also made an awesome integrate weapon mastery joke when you asked if Kaitoa was going to integrate his new arm. And you guys all missed it. Because I muted myself. [00:57:25] Speaker A: Because you were muted. [00:57:27] Speaker F: All the things that we have missed. [00:57:31] Speaker D: I feel like there's a forum, like a Reddit forum of like, things Beleg says when he's muted [00:57:44] Speaker A: Well, then roll Would you like to roll medicine with advantage? Because I think we said at some point somebody lent advantage to whoever rolled on repairing Beleg next. [00:57:56] Speaker B: Right? Okay, I got 14 plus six. Is 20. [00:58:01] Speaker A: Okay. Could you also roll arcana, Dr. Zozo? [00:58:10] Speaker B: Okay. [00:58:11] Speaker D: Also party. Can we get the fuck out of here? [00:58:13] Speaker C: Because I don't know. [00:58:17] Speaker G: Did the 11 hit? [00:58:18] Speaker A: Yes. [00:58:20] Speaker B: Would either work or can it? [00:58:23] Speaker A: Either will work. And gnoll, another arrow buries itself into the cube and there is a ripple and the cube begins to move towards you. [00:58:34] Speaker F: So Rob, you mentioned that this, this like miniature cube, this was a trap of sorts? [00:58:44] Speaker A: Yes. Steve, hunter boy, setter of traps, high in wisdom, immediately intuits that there's almost some sort of a Rube-trap-machine going on here. You start to understand that this, this collection of floors in this tower seems to have at one point caught Rube in a trap and severed a piece of them. [00:59:14] Speaker F: Would he appreciate getting that piece back? [00:59:18] Speaker A: Roll again. A Wisdom or Insight's It's coming closer. [00:59:27] Speaker B: I got 20 on the back away non natural 20 on the nature roll. [00:59:31] Speaker F: That is a 18, insight. [00:59:33] Speaker A: Oh, okay. So Steve, with your 18, you do intuit there could be a benefit to, you know, to making that reconnection. [00:59:44] Speaker E: Haha. [00:59:45] Speaker A: Oh, and about another reconnection, Dr. Zozo. Immediately you can tell you are messing with forces and sort of body horror that you cannot really control. But you're trying to contain it and you're trying to amalgamate it back into something resembling an appendage. And to a certain extent it's working. [01:00:13] Speaker E: It will work. [01:00:14] Speaker B: She's very excited about what she's doing. She's trying not to show it. [01:00:19] Speaker E: Beleg doesn't know what you're doing, but he would be excited too. [01:00:24] Speaker D: Are the construct parts being used? [01:00:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:00:28] Speaker B: Like the ones around the arm? [01:00:29] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:00:31] Speaker B: I think the plan is to like use those to actually close it once it's attached, like. Yeah, keep it on there. [01:00:37] Speaker D: Metal band aid. [01:00:38] Speaker B: Yeah, basically, yeah. [01:00:40] Speaker A: It is none other than the little construct bits that formed Joe Hawk's muzzle that form the cauterizing band around Beleg's arm. And Dr. Zozo, can you roll deception or performance? [01:00:55] Speaker B: Okay, that is an 11. [01:00:59] Speaker A: Oh, guys. You see a strange delight in Dr. Zozo's eyes. Call him Docta' Love. [01:01:10] Speaker G: I'm watching the cube move towards me and I'm like, guys, guys, it's gonna come close. [01:01:17] Speaker D: Yeah, shut up, Joe Hawk. There's something cool going on. [01:01:23] Speaker A: Guys, you have an upskirt shot of Joe Hawk right now. As you know, he's the only member of the party right now, like, actually up in the upper aperture. And now the distance closes. 15ft becomes 10ft. [01:01:38] Speaker F: Johawk, can we. [01:01:40] Speaker G: It's within 5ft of me. I'm gonna drop down and start like, booking it towards the other door. [01:01:46] Speaker A: Okay. That's your trigger. [01:01:47] Speaker B: Okay. [01:01:48] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:01:49] Speaker G: Until then, I'm firing more arrows until someone stops me. [01:01:53] Speaker A: Okay. Knock another arrow, roll on AC and rest of the party. [01:01:58] Speaker F: No. This is Rube. This is a piece of Rube Are you telling me this? Yeah, it's a piece of Rube. [01:02:06] Speaker E: Stop. Yeah, let. [01:02:08] Speaker G: Give it my arrow. Will it give me my arrows back? [01:02:12] Speaker E: I think. [01:02:14] Speaker F: I think Rube would like this back. [01:02:17] Speaker D: How can we connect the two? [01:02:23] Speaker F: We could kite it down. [01:02:25] Speaker D: Let's. [01:02:26] Speaker E: Could you draw like, if it's moving on its own? [01:02:29] Speaker D: Yeah, let's. [01:02:30] Speaker E: Could we instruct him on how to get to each trapdoor? Yeah, it may. [01:02:33] Speaker F: It may just be trying to get back to its, like. [01:02:36] Speaker D: Yeah, try open all these doors. [01:02:40] Speaker G: Drop it down. [01:02:42] Speaker B: We've got the bits of the. [01:02:44] Speaker B: The construct that was opening them. So I think it's got like a rubber suction cup. I think that can open the doors. [01:02:50] Speaker E: Yeah, I can always. If I get my magic back once this hand's reattached, I can always dimension door it down there. [01:02:58] Speaker C: I thought the arm was reattached. [01:03:00] Speaker D: Yeah, your arm is now [01:03:04] Speaker B: We're still. [01:03:04] Speaker E: Yeah, we're working on it. [01:03:06] Speaker G: Yeah, I think. [01:03:08] Speaker B: Yeah, I think we're at the point. I've like, embedded the lodestone in the. In his bone. [01:03:13] Speaker D: Nubbin [01:03:14] Speaker E: Yeah, the lode bone. Hey, everybody, check out my lode bone. Yeah. [01:03:22] Speaker B: And now. [01:03:22] Speaker C: Now I'm. [01:03:23] Speaker B: Now I'm actually like, slipping the the metal sleeve over. Over the nubbin and. [01:03:28] Speaker E: Rob, am I seeing like, any spiders in my Feywild hallucination or anything? [01:03:34] Speaker A: Oh, Beleg. Feeling any connection in this moment. You know, the big black pupils of Dr. Zozo fill your waking moments. But in your transcendent lucid dream moments, there you are, back in the Feywild with your brethren training and every night going to bed alone, you know, with your effigy there of the father you never knew. My doll. And this repeats, and you feel as if a rush of memory has come back to you in this moment. And thank goodness your arm is coming back to you as well. [01:04:25] Speaker E: Okay. [01:04:25] Speaker F: Jesus. [01:04:26] Speaker E: Was I like Beleg Murray and Groundhog Day there? Just like living the same day over and over again. [01:04:32] Speaker A: But as you regard the final surgery, Zozo, Beleg Some magic shit. [01:04:39] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:04:40] Speaker A: Let me Just quickly capture that. The boy from Moy shouts up to the gnoll that preserve the cube. Cease fire on the cube. In the same moment that Beleg's limb is reaching, kind of that final point of sewing up, Kaitoa interjects from the surgery gallery and says, Put my arm on that. And it is in your inventory, Kaitoa, your arm that has what you know to be spirit wood from the Feywild [01:05:18] Speaker D: slap that puppy on there. [01:05:20] Speaker B: Still have his magic? [01:05:21] Speaker E: If we did that, just skin graft the tattoo onto a different part of me. [01:05:26] Speaker D: Oh, oh, yeah. I guess that's like the other thing. [01:05:29] Speaker F: Fuck it. You can just like take the skin off and like strap it onto the wood. [01:05:35] Speaker E: That's what I'm saying. [01:05:36] Speaker G: Yeah. [01:05:37] Speaker F: Okay. [01:05:38] Speaker E: It's like the sisterhood of the traveling tattoo. It fits on all arms. [01:05:42] Speaker A: That was all right back there. [01:05:44] Speaker F: Beleg's in the sisterhood of the traveling tattoo. All right, Go there. [01:05:57] Speaker A: Okay. Joe Hawk, your trigger has been set. The cube moves within five feet and you now have the opportunity to drop away from it. Yeah. [01:06:11] Speaker B: Okay. [01:06:13] Speaker A: And in that moment, the red brown spirit wood from Kaitoa's ancient construct arm begins to snake forward and coalesce with the arcane surgery that Dr. Zozo is performing on the half elf warlock Beleg. And in this moment, that is where we will have to leave you. This is the spiritual ending of this episode of Dungeons and Blaggards. [01:06:53] Speaker B: Nice. [01:08:10] Speaker E: I'm down for anything. [01:08:12] Speaker F: Yeah, the idea of you like skinning your old arm and then wrapping it around the construct arm. [01:08:17] Speaker E: Oh, I'm a hundred percent down for that. [01:08:19] Speaker F: That's metal. [01:08:20] Speaker D: That would be the only like flaw. [01:08:23] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:08:23] Speaker D: Is that you don't get your magic. [01:08:27] Speaker E: Yeah, I think we'll work around that. [01:08:33] Speaker D: Max Plank, one of the best characters that has come out of this campaign, by the way. [01:08:41] Speaker E: Oh, his development arc was amazing. [01:08:44] Speaker D: Short lived, but like legendary. It goes on. It's gonna go into the quilt that Kaitoa knits. [01:08:55] Speaker F: Oh, for sure. [01:08:56] Speaker D: Yeah. It's like the. The adventures of Max. The hero's quilt and Max Plank having a serious couple squares. [01:09:11] Speaker A: The hero's quilt. the tapestry. [01:09:15] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, the tapestry. You know, the former White Chain [01:09:20] Speaker A: You guys realize you missed brunch. [01:09:24] Speaker E: Oh, we missed brunch. [01:09:27] Speaker D: You mean like Shorva and like everyone else didn't maintain brunch? [01:09:34] Speaker A: I just mean the time. Right. The 10 days travel by sea from Polb to Zirpnil, Kraken attack. [01:09:45] Speaker D: We missed the opening. [01:09:46] Speaker A: That's a fortnight. That's 14 days, two weeks lost in the transport void. Boom. There's a month. And you said you'd be back by brunch and brunch was definitely a month away. Oh, whoops. [01:10:01] Speaker G: I didn't know about that. [01:10:04] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, Vale. There is a background restaurant ownership subplot going on here with the party. [01:10:14] Speaker D: I hope you have some [01:10:15] Speaker G: I could tell from the brewery. [01:10:18] Speaker F: Acquired. [01:10:19] Speaker G: Acquiring. [01:10:21] Speaker A: That's right. Although by now you would assume that Huck the Brewer might have made it back. [01:10:29] Speaker B: There's some. [01:10:32] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:10:32] Speaker F: He's brewing on site at the fucking White chain. [01:10:35] Speaker C: I know his secrets. Rook was brewing up a storm. [01:10:41] Speaker E: I think we've been gone long enough that we're not going to help clean up after the Gollum attack. [01:10:46] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, Gollum attack. What about the bird-pocalypse? Oh, yeah. [01:10:52] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. We have some Hitchcockian shit to go back to. [01:10:58] Speaker D: Nah, they're
