[00:00:01] Speaker A: Welcome, friends and adventurers to another episode of Dungeons and Blaggards. I am the dungeon Master, Robulon. Joining me in no particular order are the players. Eric! [00:00:16] Speaker B: I'm Eric and I'm playing Dr. Zozo Brightfeather. She is a level nine Aarakocra artificer potionsmith. Brandon! [00:00:25] Speaker B: I'm Ekurook Punschley. Level nine blood hunter, half orc. Caleb! [00:00:32] Speaker B: I'm a level nine warforged barbarian: Kaitoa Tata. Braeden! [00:00:40] Speaker C: Hey, I'm Braeden. I'm playing half elf, Beleg Dygar, Level 9 hexblade warlock. Tomo! [00:00:50] Speaker B: Hey, I'm playing Steve Tehuman. I am a Gloomstalker Ranger level five, Battle Master Fighter, level three. And I have just a little schmeck of rogue. And I have an Owl. Vale! [00:01:06] Speaker B: I am playing Johawk the Gnoll, a champion fighter 4, Bear totem barbarian five. [00:01:20] Speaker A: Previously on Dungeons and Blackguards. Kaitoa and Zozo are still not making it up the zigzag stairway carved into the cliff of Maw. Rook, Steve and Beleg step out into the small fishing town which contains a transportation circle which immediately begins to activate. Enter Johawk Null Fighter Barbarian, who is transported all the way from the city of Iz, a place which the party is intimately familiar with. As the exhausted, half drowned, half orc Rook, holding his head in his hands, still feeling the effects of summoning his great old one ancestral spirit to frighten the Kraken, Rook storms off. This leaves only Beleg, half elf warlock, and ranger boy Steve to contend with the Gnoll, whose one leg is trapped up to the ankle in the huge marble transportation circle bearing a weapon, a strange hatchet, and another artifact, the other stone of Far Speech. This. What's that said? [00:02:34] Speaker C: I want it. [00:02:35] Speaker A: I know. This creature is recognized by the party as both a potential foe and a potential source of information. How indeed did this Gnoll get here? And what were the words they were chanting as their form materialized, albeit with a minor accident. Now, as a brief exchange of intimidation and information escalates to the drawing of blood, a new threat emerges from the marble transportation circle. Five stone figures, gargoyles, each styled and armed differently, but all activated and pursuing the party of Beleg and Steve. Plus this somewhat restrained and yet still ferocious knoll to the structure nearest to the circle, which is a covered fish market and tannery. And now, with the still exhausted other three party members resting on the giant stairway down to the dock of Maw, where the mimic chest and the rowboat gene are stowed what is your next course of action? Steve, you are up at the top of the order, and then Rook will have you roll Initiative. [00:03:53] Speaker D: The this area that we're in, is it. Is there a floor to it or are there loose stones, rocks, that kind of thing? [00:04:02] Speaker A: It is the somewhat melting sort of permafrost, hard packed ground. [00:04:08] Speaker D: Are there anything. So I've been throwing knives at these gargoyle things, these stone things, and that's been doing a particular type of damage. I want to be able to do a different kind of damage, and I want it to be bludgeoning. I'm looking for something that I can use as a projectile that will do that type of damage. [00:04:29] Speaker A: Okay, you could roll a perception. [00:04:34] Speaker B: Rob for Initiative. I rolled a 19. Yeah. [00:04:38] Speaker A: Okay, sweet. [00:04:40] Speaker D: That is a perception of 13. [00:04:43] Speaker A: Are you checking your surroundings or are you thinking about equipment that you or your other party members might have as well? [00:04:50] Speaker D: Well, at first I' First I'm looking around. I actually don't have. I don't have any kind of ammunition that would necessarily be bludgeoning. [00:05:00] Speaker A: Right, Bludgeoning. I mean, there is perhaps a couple of fist sized stones, but as you look at them, Steve, you don't feel that would do a ton of damage. As you look at your one quarry, you know, you did smash an arm off at the wrist, but it did take like four shots. And you did feel resistance to that sort of piercing and slashing. What else in your move? No, there's not much around in the environment. [00:05:26] Speaker D: Okay. [00:05:27] Speaker E: Could I take an action to speak? [00:05:30] Speaker A: Yes, certainly. Johawk, what are you looking for? [00:05:34] Speaker D: They're made of stone. I want to crush them. [00:05:37] Speaker E: Can I pull out my flail and toss it to him? [00:05:41] Speaker A: You certainly could. You know, that'll kind of consume a part of your move when it comes up. But this would be a dex for you to throw it and Steve to catch it. [00:05:51] Speaker E: I'm not gonna throw it at him. I'm gonna slide it along the ground so that way he doesn't get hurt. [00:06:00] Speaker A: All right, well then give me a strength and let's see if it skids across the ground. [00:06:06] Speaker D: All right. [00:06:07] Speaker E: I have disadvantage because of his exhaustion, but because I'm raging, I have advantage. So it all cancels out. [00:06:13] Speaker A: It all evens out. [00:06:14] Speaker E: And that's a natural four, for a total of eight. [00:06:17] Speaker A: Okay, Steve, this flail comes within about five feet of your grasp. What are you doing? [00:06:25] Speaker D: I'm still interested in giving those rocks a. A shot because they are. They are bludgeoning. Damage versus piercing sort of everything does. [00:06:34] Speaker C: A Lot of damage with hunter's mark. [00:06:36] Speaker A: Yeah. And I'm. [00:06:37] Speaker D: I'm good. My arm's good for throwing. So. [00:06:41] Speaker C: This arm is made for throwing. [00:06:43] Speaker D: This arm is made. [00:06:44] Speaker C: What it'll do. [00:06:46] Speaker E: I'm. [00:06:46] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean I'm gonna like. Thanks. [00:06:51] Speaker D: I. I don't like running up and hitting things with stuff though. I'm gonna go for the rocks. [00:06:57] Speaker A: Okay. You will be able to dislodge one maybe two fist size rocks, Steve. You know, but at this point I'd say you've probably consumed about you know, maybe one of your. Your action. You can certainly attack these rocks. But are you just throwing it? [00:07:18] Speaker D: Yeah. Oh yeah. [00:07:19] Speaker A: Oh wow. Back to basics. Okay. [00:07:21] Speaker C: Who you talking about reminding me of the first episode. [00:07:23] Speaker D: Yeah, no kidding. Taking it. Taking it back to episode one. Judging from what is happening here, I believe the one that I the archers had its arm knocked off. Is that. Is that the case? [00:07:36] Speaker A: That is correct. This winged archer airborne at the moment. [00:07:42] Speaker D: I'm gonna fastball special the dragon. Then the one right in front of us. [00:07:46] Speaker A: Roll on ac. [00:07:48] Speaker C: Hey Rob, what's the purple and what's the red? [00:07:51] Speaker A: Purple is airborne. Red is damaged. [00:07:55] Speaker C: Damaged. Okay cool. [00:07:57] Speaker D: Trying to remember. I guess it's just thrown. I can use my dexterity as well. It's been a while since I've tossed a rock. [00:08:04] Speaker A: Yeah, use your dex modifier. [00:08:07] Speaker D: Oh God, that's terrible. [00:08:10] Speaker D: No matter what happens. I mean I tried to do the sharpshooter attack and I got an eight. [00:08:18] Speaker A: Oh, guys, there is a puff of steam from where you know to be the top of the staircase up the cliff. Kaitoa, can you roll initiative? [00:08:33] Speaker F: I guess. [00:08:35] Speaker F: I just woke up. [00:08:37] Speaker C: Hey, that just means you won't fall asleep during the session. [00:08:40] Speaker F: That's true. [00:08:42] Speaker A: What do I got? 14. 14. Okay. Coming in after belly. Okay, Steve, that was terrible throw. And. [00:08:59] Speaker A: Are dejected. What's next? [00:09:02] Speaker C: Movement. [00:09:03] Speaker D: I guess I'm gonna scoot over to where the gnoll toss the flail. [00:09:10] Speaker A: Are you gonna pick that up? It's just by your foot. [00:09:14] Speaker D: Can I do a little like toe flip? [00:09:16] Speaker A: Oh yeah. Love it. What's your passive dex here? Yeah, that's okay. Yeah, you do a fancy little move. [00:09:23] Speaker C: Oh, I don't want you to hit yourself in the face. [00:09:25] Speaker D: Just. Just kick the flail right up into my nuts. [00:09:28] Speaker E: Don't break it. It's Yeenoghu's [00:09:31] Speaker C: You should tie a string to it and just throw it at people. [00:09:35] Speaker C: Make your own little flail of returning. [00:09:38] Speaker A: Yeah. And Steve, you hear the gnoll there invoke the Name of their, you know, their deity. Watch that flail. Rook, you are on deck. [00:09:52] Speaker A: Rook, you know the scene well, but now you have about two dashes ahead of you if you want to join this battle. What are you doing? You have sort of gone back to see that Kaitoa and Zozo are indeed resting there at the top of the stairs. There they are. What are you doing? [00:10:16] Speaker B: So how far away is. [00:10:18] Speaker A: Yeah, let's say if you double dash, I mean you could be up to three or four rounds of combat away. [00:10:26] Speaker B: Oh, they're. They're up there. Okay. Yeah, I'll dash. [00:10:31] Speaker F: Oh Jesus. [00:10:32] Speaker B: We're far away and I'm gonna turn to Kaitoa and say we got some damage to do. Gotta egg him on. [00:10:43] Speaker A: Inspiring words, Rook. Okay, you guys gonna start the dashing? I am. [00:10:48] Speaker B: Yeah. Run and go. [00:10:50] Speaker A: Okay. Are you doing nothing else in your move than other than running back to the transportation circle where you definitely see a fight now? [00:11:01] Speaker B: I am. While I'm running, I'm gonna pull out my bergen's blade just to have a weapon. [00:11:08] Speaker A: Arm yourself. [00:11:10] Speaker E: All right. [00:11:11] Speaker A: I will let you guys run an additional 10ft of your movement as you were inspired by the half orcs rousing. Huzzah. There you are up belling and you see a toot of steam first coming from over the top of the large staircase. And then you see the form of Rook. He's dashing, but he's still about 300 plus feet away. [00:11:39] Speaker B: You're up. [00:11:40] Speaker A: What are you doing? [00:11:43] Speaker C: Just throw an eldritch blast at both. The airborne. [00:11:48] Speaker A: One at each. [00:11:49] Speaker C: Roll on AC1's 0.2. That hits. [00:11:57] Speaker A: That hits. [00:11:59] Speaker C: Which does not hit. So that's just five damage but blowing back 10ft. [00:12:05] Speaker A: Okay. Dragon or Archer? [00:12:10] Speaker C: Ah fuck. I rolled them both at the same time. I feel like I should leave it up to you and not retroactively choose. [00:12:18] Speaker A: Okay, I'll use my special dice. Dragon gets pushed back 10ft. [00:12:25] Speaker C: Good bastard, Malak. [00:12:28] Speaker A: What else in your move? And you've just kind of peered around the pillar, have you? [00:12:32] Speaker C: Yep. Like to have noticed the guys. [00:12:36] Speaker C: I am also going to retreat slightly. So I'm beside Steve. Between Steve and Mr. Noel Johawk. [00:12:46] Speaker A: Okay there Beleg you now put a little distance between you and your right smack dab underneath. [00:12:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:12:54] Speaker C: Sober Beleg is less willing to stand on the front line when he's got. [00:12:58] Speaker F: Less than half health ouchy. [00:13:01] Speaker F: Old silver belling. He's now fun. [00:13:05] Speaker A: Kaitoa, as you say that you are up. [00:13:10] Speaker F: Okay. Can I. [00:13:12] Speaker A: You additionally will have that benefit of Rooks inspiring words there. You will add like 10ft to your movement if you are doing nothing but doing but going to dash to reach your party. So that would be 50 doubled, which would be a hundred. [00:13:31] Speaker F: No, it still seems really significant. [00:13:34] Speaker A: Four rounds of combat away. [00:13:38] Speaker F: Do I have a clear line of sight? [00:13:40] Speaker A: Yes. Roll perception with advantage with your eagle eyes. Zoom in. [00:13:52] Speaker F: Eighteen plus. [00:13:55] Speaker A: Sorry, Kraken. Twenty. Yeah, 22. Yeah, 22. There is a line of stone figures. They are encroaching upon what you see to be Beleg, Steve and a gnoll. And these are all within 50ft of each other. So there seems to be a fight taking place right now. And Rook has just taken off towards them. Otherwise, you know, you're looking at this town, this fishing town. All of the shutters have been closed. All of the doors with little number plates on them have been shut. [00:14:34] Speaker F: Do I see? Just because I'm catching up with my vision. Do I see, like, who they're fighting? [00:14:41] Speaker A: Gargoyles. [00:14:43] Speaker B: Okay. [00:14:44] Speaker A: But not cookie cutter gargoyles. Five of different appearance. [00:14:49] Speaker F: Oh, like the TV show Gargoyles Classic. [00:14:54] Speaker A: Great show. [00:14:55] Speaker F: That was a great show. Okay, I will sprint my hundred. [00:15:00] Speaker A: Okay, you're catching up to Rook. [00:15:04] Speaker F: Was there any kind of resting that happened? [00:15:13] Speaker A: I have to ask. [00:15:14] Speaker F: I was. I was sleeping pretty heavy for 15 minutes. [00:15:20] Speaker D: Just a hard power. [00:15:21] Speaker C: Now, I like how when a rest is involved, Kaitoa sleeps really deeply. But yeah, Kaitoa doesn't sleep. [00:15:27] Speaker F: No, I don't sleep at all. [00:15:30] Speaker A: Hey, the construct. Rest. [00:15:33] Speaker F: The construct can do minimal tasks while resting. And so why can I not rest and do minimal tasks? Like kick a boat? [00:15:43] Speaker C: Why not? I arrested man. Why not? [00:15:47] Speaker B: I. [00:15:48] Speaker F: That sounds like all but Chinese dinner. [00:15:51] Speaker C: Hey, you got it. [00:15:52] Speaker A: That sounds like Oldfoot. [00:15:54] Speaker A: Look, he got the death he wished for. Now you are the death I wished for. [00:16:03] Speaker A: You actually are Kaitoa. You are doing a little bit of extra menial labor. You have a new backpack, and it's called Dr. Zozo. [00:16:14] Speaker F: Nice feathery. [00:16:19] Speaker A: Kaitoa. Anything else in your move? You roll perception. You've rolled your hundred. Yeah. You guys are still like three rounds away. [00:16:26] Speaker F: Does anyone see us coming or are we. Do we have surprise? [00:16:31] Speaker A: The town is shut up tighter than a drum. And these gargoyles, you are flanking them. So there is the chance Kaitoa and Rook that you will not be seen. Whoop, whoop. [00:16:41] Speaker C: Pull over there. That's too fat. [00:16:43] Speaker A: And Joe Hawk, you are up. [00:16:46] Speaker E: I take it the gargoyles are 20ft away. They're farther than that, aren't they? [00:16:51] Speaker A: The first gargoyles are approximately 50ft away. Airborne gargoyles are also about 60 away. [00:17:01] Speaker E: I don't have the kind of movement for that. So I'm going to move under or behind this. The beam where I think Beleg was hiding at the start of his turn. [00:17:14] Speaker A: The very same. And I wonder if those little Kodama circle is still there. [00:17:19] Speaker E: It would be great if it was. [00:17:22] Speaker A: Ask the ranger boy, Noel. Because I think that thing does persist for 10 as long as he's moving it along. [00:17:30] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. I mean it's. That's a good question. To see if it's. It is a concentration spell. [00:17:38] Speaker A: You have not been hit. [00:17:39] Speaker D: I have not been hit and I have not cast any other concentration spells. [00:17:43] Speaker E: That's true. [00:17:45] Speaker D: And it is for up to a minute. So it's been. Yeah, it'll be 10 rounds of com. It has been going for about like four. Yeah. So that would be wherever Beleg was. [00:17:55] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:17:56] Speaker A: Okay, we'll draw the healing pool. And if you choose to move that pool, you have to use a bonus action. Right, Steve? [00:18:02] Speaker D: Yes, I use a bonus action. I can move it 30. [00:18:05] Speaker E: 30Ft. [00:18:05] Speaker C: Hey, Rob. [00:18:06] Speaker E: Okay. These things are. [00:18:10] Speaker C: I had like a healing roll for my last turn because I was standing there. [00:18:15] Speaker A: Do you get that, Steve? At the beginning. How does that trigger their turn or the. Or your turn. [00:18:23] Speaker D: Whenever you are a creature you can see moves into the spirit space for the first time on a turn or starts there. You can call spirit to restore 1d6 hit points to that creature. [00:18:35] Speaker C: I did start a turn there. [00:18:36] Speaker A: Well then, Beleg. [00:18:37] Speaker C: Yes. [00:18:38] Speaker A: You would get one more nice little massage from the Kodamas. [00:18:42] Speaker C: Retcon. [00:18:45] Speaker A: Retroactive healing is the best. But Johawk, your healing is in your move. You have moved into the space. [00:18:54] Speaker E: These things are foreign to me. So I'm going to bite at them passively and then I'm going to ready. [00:19:01] Speaker D: They feel so good. [00:19:03] Speaker E: I'm going to ready my attack action to attack anything. If they approach me, how much healing do I get? [00:19:10] Speaker A: Okay. A readied action. 1d6. Was that it, Steve? Yes. [00:19:16] Speaker D: Now, do they want to heal him though? [00:19:18] Speaker A: Yeah, it said you may. So as you bite, can you roll your choice? What are you rolling? What would you say would describe your activity? Because you kind of do want in the circle of love, as Bella kind of says. It's so good. Try it. [00:19:34] Speaker F: Drink the Kool aid. [00:19:35] Speaker D: It feels so warm on your legs. [00:19:38] Speaker C: Flap the vein. [00:19:40] Speaker E: I am going to intimidate it. Then show me how good it is. [00:19:47] Speaker A: So you want to roll low. I think Johawk, you want to roll low. [00:19:51] Speaker E: Fortunately, I rolled a natural three. Alright. Total of six. [00:19:56] Speaker A: You are not at all affecting the healing power of these small spiritual creatures. And in fact, guys, again, you see this gnoll Display that other side, right? The new side. The new pack. The prognoll. He's not all froth and spit. In this case he actually - he loves these little kodamas healing. [00:20:20] Speaker E: The prognoll. [00:20:21] Speaker F: I like soft, passionate side - prognoll. [00:20:26] Speaker C: The prognollsis. [00:20:28] Speaker D: Prognollsis negative? [00:20:31] Speaker E: Is that an episode title? [00:20:33] Speaker A: Oh, it's got the Seinfeld baked right in. That is good. And it just came so natural. Okay, you have a readied action. You are holding your maul. Are you holding your mole with two hands? [00:20:46] Speaker D: Yes. [00:20:48] Speaker A: Guess what? Those little kodamas go and heal the horrible dagger wound in your hand from Steve. [00:20:56] Speaker E: Awesome. How much do I get back? [00:20:59] Speaker A: Who rolls Kodamas or the creatures? Steve. [00:21:03] Speaker D: I will roll it. Yeah, you get a five. [00:21:08] Speaker E: Hey, these are pretty good. [00:21:15] Speaker A: Okay. There is a line of sight though. Noel, I would say you are under virtually full cover. Steve and Beleg as well. You're kind of trying to keep that angle between you. But there are five gargoyles and there are only three of you. And there are only so many pillars here. And the melee fighters dash in. One of them is dashing towards Beleg and Beleg. You are getting a face full of these two blades. This is a terrifying gargoyle creature here. [00:21:53] Speaker C: Do I get it? Ao. Ao. [00:21:55] Speaker A: Oh, you do. [00:21:57] Speaker B: You do. [00:21:57] Speaker A: And they have just triggered your pam. [00:22:05] Speaker C: That's not 20. [00:22:07] Speaker A: Ha. [00:22:10] Speaker A: And can you roll double the damage dice? Was that a critty? [00:22:14] Speaker C: Yeah, it was a critty. [00:22:15] Speaker A: Yeah. Joe Hawk right behind you. You hear the stomping of stone and then you hear the whooshing of a blade. [00:22:25] Speaker C: So that's 13 magical slashing. [00:22:29] Speaker A: One of those legs comes right off. [00:22:33] Speaker C: Peace out leg. [00:22:34] Speaker A: You didn't need that. Beleg. 15 plus 4. [00:22:41] Speaker C: Does that hit my AC? [00:22:43] Speaker A: That does hit your AC. [00:22:45] Speaker C: Yeah. My AC is 16. [00:22:47] Speaker A: Okay. Oh, it's like it's coming at you with claws like these blades or extensions of its stony hands. Ouchy. That's nine damage. [00:23:00] Speaker C: Back to the kodamas. Back to the kodamas. [00:23:05] Speaker A: A second gargoyle here has dashed in under the eaves and through the pillars. The third with this huge mace, attacks you. Johawk from around the pillar. They have. [00:23:21] Speaker A: Rolled a 15 total total. [00:23:26] Speaker E: That matches. My AC meets it beats it. [00:23:28] Speaker A: And they're gonna take this flail. That's kind of fitting. Oh, and they're gonna hit you with a walloping. 12 damage. [00:23:39] Speaker E: You mean six because of raging. [00:23:45] Speaker F: Well, we got another burb. [00:23:48] Speaker C: Fuck. You guys all know it's always sunny, right? Oh, yes, I just. With Steve hiding behind the knoll, all I can think of is you gotta pay the gnoll toll to get inside the boy's soul [00:24:00] Speaker D: So. [00:24:02] Speaker F: Did you just say boys hole? [00:24:12] Speaker A: A lance comes flying into the midst of the party. I mean Steve and beleg. This lance hits right at your feet, but it has struck neither of you. Then arrows flying at you, gnoll. But you are under full cover, so these are coming in massive disadvantage. Oh, no. A stone arrow buries itself into the pillar to the beam here. And then finally this very attractive looking gargoyle here turns towards the party and they're gonna use the second part of their movement. They have not rolled attack at all. To dash in behind Steve. [00:24:55] Speaker D: Well, hello. [00:24:57] Speaker C: Oh, God. [00:24:58] Speaker A: There at the top of the order is Steve. [00:25:02] Speaker E: I forgot my readied action. [00:25:04] Speaker A: You were on deck. And then, yes, you will get to deal your readied action against the flail man right now. Right now. [00:25:12] Speaker E: All right. [00:25:14] Speaker B: Darn. [00:25:15] Speaker E: Not a natural one, but 13 a. [00:25:19] Speaker A: Total that does not hit. [00:25:21] Speaker E: Do I get a second attack with my readied action or is it only. [00:25:24] Speaker A: One in this case, we usually parlay if you've held your whole move and you're a fighter, attack twice. [00:25:32] Speaker E: Oh, okay. [00:25:33] Speaker A: So yeah, you can roll a second time. And yeah, the magic number here on these gargoyles is just like yours. [00:25:43] Speaker E: Natural 20. [00:25:48] Speaker A: The Mole. [00:25:48] Speaker E: I've rolled a 6, 5, 1 and 2. And I get to reroll ones and twos. [00:25:52] Speaker C: Oh, nice. [00:25:54] Speaker E: Five into one. So I reroll the one and that's almost maximum damage. [00:26:00] Speaker B: 12. [00:26:01] Speaker C: You had a well spec'd null there, my friend. [00:26:04] Speaker E: 22 plus my strength mod is four. So 26 damage. [00:26:10] Speaker A: Well, there is a very optimized hit coming down at this gargoyle bearing a flail and shield. And can you say how you deal an enormous blow? [00:26:22] Speaker E: Just like I did with the gnoll that tried to encroach me earlier. I'm going to use the momentum of my missed attack, bring it over my head and slam. [00:26:37] Speaker C: Oh, nice. [00:26:39] Speaker A: Ouch. Oh, that's kind of how you dispatched Cutlass. Was. Was that Noel's name? [00:26:45] Speaker E: I think that was also a great. When I did that. [00:26:47] Speaker A: Yeah. And bloodied. If a gargoyle could be, we'll say he is pebbly. He's rocky. He is rupturing at the seams. Rocky Roller Steve, now you're up. [00:27:03] Speaker D: All right, so this stone Chick has now come. Is it within is in combat distance like 5ft. [00:27:13] Speaker A: Within your 10ft. This figure has not engaged. [00:27:18] Speaker D: Okay. So I can in fact move away. [00:27:22] Speaker A: Certainly. [00:27:24] Speaker D: Where are our friends or other friends? [00:27:27] Speaker A: You can roll a perception somebody's. I think Bella. Definitely No. Everybody noticed the two steam. You would not have to roll to note that huge hulking Rook and even larger Kaitoa are dashing about a football field length away. [00:27:42] Speaker D: They are indeed piling in. [00:27:44] Speaker E: Okay. [00:27:45] Speaker D: I am going to in perfect Stevian fashion make my little move. [00:27:51] Speaker A: No. [00:27:52] Speaker D: Put a body in between me and. [00:27:55] Speaker A: Putting Pam between ya. Okay. Yeah. Dash around. [00:28:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:28:01] Speaker D: And. [00:28:04] Speaker D: I want to see if these. I still have that second. That second rock in hand. Correct. [00:28:10] Speaker A: Correct. [00:28:12] Speaker D: I'm going to wing it at this guy right here. [00:28:18] Speaker A: Oh, you're hucking at the one who Beleg has glaived. Okay. Roll on AC. [00:28:24] Speaker D: That's so much better. [00:28:25] Speaker E: Okay. [00:28:25] Speaker D: 19 to hit. [00:28:27] Speaker A: That connects. [00:28:31] Speaker D: And so. [00:28:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:33] Speaker D: So sharpshooter shots. I'm gonna beam that thing in the side of the face. [00:28:39] Speaker A: Plus 10. [00:28:41] Speaker D: I believe the rock is D4 damage. Yeah. So be 4 plus 3. 7 plus 10. 17. [00:28:48] Speaker A: 17. Okay. That's still very impressive. And just like you say, it whacks him in the side of the head. [00:28:56] Speaker D: Does it seem like it's doing more than my. My daggers or is that just. [00:29:02] Speaker A: Oh yes. And in fact this gargoyle's head whips around at you. And although it makes no sound, you can tell it is snarling at you noiselessly. Half of its head has been destroyed. [00:29:18] Speaker C: Nice. [00:29:21] Speaker D: Okay. [00:29:24] Speaker D: I don't have any. I don't have any other rocks. I'm gonna spend the rest of my. My turn grabbing more rocks. Then they seem to be doing better damage. [00:29:32] Speaker A: Okay. We'll have a little harvesting. You can again pick up two rocks. And although the ground is very hard, you can dislodge two more. [00:29:41] Speaker D: One any chance, so to speak. [00:29:43] Speaker A: And that is what you are armed with. Okay. Yep. [00:29:46] Speaker D: Nice. [00:29:47] Speaker A: Rook, you are up. And now there is clearly a melee fight ensuing. [00:29:54] Speaker B: Okay, can I see how many people or assailants there are attacking them? [00:30:00] Speaker A: You can make out at least four. [00:30:05] Speaker B: Okay. And they're fully focused on them. They don't see us coming. [00:30:11] Speaker A: At the moment, you and Kaitoa are coming in their blind spot. In fact, even more so now that they seem to be engaging under the eaves of this structure that has no walls. [00:30:23] Speaker D: Right. [00:30:23] Speaker A: It's just big timber beams supporting an arched roof. [00:30:28] Speaker B: Okay, I'm gonna keep dashing. Let's see Kaitoa coming Up. So I'm gonna keep dashing along. I don't think I've got a bow to make any sort of range fire. [00:30:40] Speaker A: And that bow was lost to the ocean. With old foot there. You can dash another 80, rook. And is there anything you would do in your move? Anything to cast in front of you any way to increase your momentum? [00:30:57] Speaker B: Don't think I have anything else to really do at this point. So I'm gonna go up, what, 80? All right. About there. [00:31:06] Speaker B: As I run. Yeah. I'm just gonna have to do that for now and just kind of keep going with Kaitoa waving him on. Let's do this. [00:31:15] Speaker A: Okay, Kaitoa, you're on deck. After Beleg. Beleg. You're up, buddy. [00:31:22] Speaker C: I want to say I have one more spell slot, but I can't guarantee it. [00:31:26] Speaker F: That sounds about right. [00:31:27] Speaker A: Yeah, it sounds about right. It sounds like you're gonna have to consult your patron. [00:31:32] Speaker C: Ah, if she remembers what you remember. I don't like what I did. I attack you with any big spells? Vale. [00:31:41] Speaker E: No, you didn't. Just your glaive. [00:31:44] Speaker C: Just the glaive. [00:31:45] Speaker E: Right. [00:31:45] Speaker C: Yeah. That if I didn't spend any spells. [00:31:48] Speaker A: You have one slot for sure. [00:31:50] Speaker C: Checks out. Then I cast Armor of Agatha, Armor of Frosty Agathis. [00:31:58] Speaker A: On yourself. [00:32:00] Speaker C: Yeah. So 20 temporary hit points and then any melee attacks that hit me while I have those temporary hit points, whoever launched that attack at me takes 20 damage automatically. [00:32:12] Speaker A: Okay. That's your action. Anything else? [00:32:17] Speaker C: I don't particularly want to evoke an attack of opportunity here. So now just gonna. Just gonna stay frosty while this dragon gargoyle is right in my face. [00:32:29] Speaker F: And right in my face. [00:32:33] Speaker A: They are coming near. They are coming very near. And okay. Nothing else there in your move. Okay. You snap your fingers, you got the Frosty agatha on. [00:32:44] Speaker C: And 14 nipples are rock hard. [00:32:47] Speaker A: Kaitoa, you are up. And now you have with the last move. You are now in lockstep with Rook. You know, within one more dash, you will actually be ahead of him. Hey, got that Barb Speed. [00:33:01] Speaker F: Yeah. Well. [00:33:05] Speaker F: Ahead. All right. [00:33:08] Speaker A: Okay. And you guys pass what looks like an absolutely shut down but delicious fish on a stick stall. [00:33:24] Speaker F: Sorry, guys, but you gotta eat. [00:33:28] Speaker A: And Zozo almost falls off your back. But she's there. Okay. [00:33:34] Speaker F: And. [00:33:36] Speaker F: I'm gonna yell at rookie that I'm gonna drop my heavy crossbow for him. [00:33:43] Speaker A: Oh, nice. [00:33:44] Speaker F: If he wants it. So I'm gonna go in swinging and I don't need it. [00:33:48] Speaker B: I'm gonna hold back. Yeah, Just back. [00:33:52] Speaker F: Yeah. To replace his bow. [00:33:54] Speaker A: That is your gnollish heavy crossbow. Yeah, but I want it back. [00:34:02] Speaker B: Yeah, possession's nine tenths of the line. [00:34:05] Speaker A: Exactly. [00:34:07] Speaker A: You rook. [00:34:08] Speaker F: Speak of the law. [00:34:09] Speaker D: Bah. [00:34:13] Speaker A: All right, you guys are closing in now. The building is only a dash and a half away and your party's only two dashes away as you guys arm yourself and run up. You're coming up, Joe Hawk. Okay, Joe Hawk, this creature in front of you still the dust is partially in the air from you dealing this massive blow. But they are not vanquished. [00:34:42] Speaker E: I'm going to take my first. First I'm going to get my healing, I think because I started my turn in the aura. [00:34:49] Speaker A: Oh, yes, the battle hardened Kodamas will. Steve, do you want to roll a 1D6 for the battle hardened Kodama's healing? [00:34:59] Speaker D: That's another five sweet. [00:35:02] Speaker E: That's an effective 10 hit points. I'm gonna take my first attack and I will reckless. So I'm getting advantage in exchange for them having advantage on me. Okay, I'm thinking that hits with a natural 18. [00:35:19] Speaker A: Yeah, you're connecting roll damage. [00:35:23] Speaker A: Six and. [00:35:24] Speaker E: One rerolled to total of 14 bludgeoning damage. [00:35:30] Speaker A: You feel with this blow, Joe, that you are within inches of reducing this gargoyle to below fighting capability. [00:35:44] Speaker E: Then I'm gonna spend my second attack at it. 17 to hit. That hits for another 2d6. 13 damage. [00:35:56] Speaker A: Can you describe how you absolutely decimate what remains of this flail and shield wielding gargoyle? [00:36:07] Speaker E: The first hit is going right for its chest as a kind of overhand swing. And then I'm going to quickly pull it back and jump up, smash its head into the pillar. I'm right next to. [00:36:26] Speaker A: A huge smash into the pillar. And great use of the environment there. We'll have that pillar probably. Oh, that begins to crack. Oh boy. That was a pretty important pillar. Look, it was right in the middle of the T intersection. The whole area around Joe Hawk. And the vanquished gargoyle begins to collapse. [00:36:47] Speaker E: Not good. [00:36:51] Speaker A: You're okay. But all of a sudden some of the sunlight kind of streaks through some of the rafters above. Anything else in your move, Joe Hawk? There is the one gargoyle behind you being dealt with by Beleg. To your left is this stealthy looking gargoyle with a saber. And then the two airborne ones outside. [00:37:11] Speaker E: I'm going to see my opportunity to flank this guy and I'm going to come right up behind it. [00:37:18] Speaker A: Okay, over to the next pillar. Over to the next gargoyle. [00:37:21] Speaker E: Anything else That'll be my turn. Okay. [00:37:26] Speaker A: Gargoyles are up. And it is this one who acts first. That is not going to hit Beleg. Not even close. Okay. And they make two attacks at least. This guy does. That is a 15 plus four belle egg. [00:37:46] Speaker C: That hits me. [00:37:48] Speaker A: Oh. [00:37:50] Speaker A: Okay. And it's eight damage. [00:37:52] Speaker B: Why did that sound? Dante? [00:37:57] Speaker C: Eight damage. [00:37:58] Speaker A: Eight damage. [00:37:59] Speaker C: All right. It takes 20 cold damage. [00:38:03] Speaker A: Ouch. Okay, so he's slashed by stone. But then you are dealing ice damage back. [00:38:09] Speaker C: Yeah. Wow. [00:38:12] Speaker A: 20. Yep. [00:38:15] Speaker C: Frosty spell is awesome. As it scales. [00:38:17] Speaker A: Frosty. Frosty. And Johawk, you also now would see the sort of front quarter. The very sharp bitey front of this gargoyle get all encased in frost. [00:38:29] Speaker E: I use it as cover. [00:38:30] Speaker A: You're between the pillar and the frosty gargoyle. And this gargoyle now looks over to his vanquished friend who is now just a pile of rubble. And the ranged barfing Stone Dragon. 14 total on the gnoll. [00:38:49] Speaker E: Is that with advantage? [00:38:51] Speaker A: That was not with advantage. [00:38:53] Speaker E: You get advantage. [00:38:57] Speaker A: That is gonna be a 16 total. [00:38:59] Speaker E: Damn. [00:39:01] Speaker A: Very honest. Not good for you. [00:39:03] Speaker D: You shouldn't have said nothing. [00:39:04] Speaker A: No, no, no. Stone lance is produced. [00:39:09] Speaker E: You just got to see how many hits I can take. [00:39:12] Speaker A: But that's really not all that bad. That's only 14 damage for you in the form of a stone lens. [00:39:21] Speaker E: So that's seven damage. [00:39:24] Speaker A: And then arrows flying from the winged avian angel. Like gargoyle with the bow. Only one hand left on this archer. So they are rolling at disadvantage. It doesn't matter though. This is going to hit you, my friend. Null. Okay, we got a 19 and a 16. So either are going to hit you. This gargoyle packs a punch, buddy. That's 18 damage. [00:39:53] Speaker A: Nine and nine. Okay. And finally, the stealthy gargoyle here with the saber moves again just outside of Beleg's scrunchy range. Outside of the PAM zone and attack Steve. [00:40:13] Speaker C: The PAM zone very different than the friend zone. [00:40:18] Speaker A: Steve. [00:40:19] Speaker E: You feel a Saber Friend Zone. [00:40:23] Speaker D: 17 meets. It beats it. [00:40:26] Speaker C: Although it's just as painful as being in the off the friend zone. [00:40:32] Speaker A: You are sliced by a stone saber for 13 damage. [00:40:39] Speaker D: Ouch. [00:40:41] Speaker C: Okay, is that like the fourth time Steve's taken damage this entire campaign? [00:40:45] Speaker E: It's. [00:40:46] Speaker D: There's definitely less than a half. [00:40:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:40:48] Speaker D: Less than 10 times. [00:40:53] Speaker E: He'S. And what? I've taken that all in one session. [00:40:56] Speaker A: No kidding, guys. You hear the ranger boy exclaim ouch. And truly these gargoyles are absolutely soundless and noiseless. It's only you the party making noise. Steve, you are up. Rook, you're on deck. [00:41:11] Speaker D: All right. Well, since we're in the. In the fight here, Steve's going to pull. [00:41:19] Speaker A: No. [00:41:20] Speaker D: Yeah, I guess Steve is gonna pull the flail in one hand. Oh, can I do that? [00:41:25] Speaker A: Hold on. [00:41:26] Speaker C: Yeah. Are you proficient in Marshall? [00:41:28] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, for sure. I can use just about anything. [00:41:31] Speaker A: Beleg and Johawk, who armed Steve with the flail, I will award you each one. Inspiration. [00:41:39] Speaker E: Oh, nice. [00:41:40] Speaker C: Yay. [00:41:42] Speaker A: And Steve, as Beleg shouts it to you, and as you look down at this weapon, it's certainly available to you. [00:41:48] Speaker D: Yeah, I'll use the flail. Sure, why not? All right. I'm gonna attack the the gargoyle with the said flail. [00:41:56] Speaker D: So, first attack. Making a plus one hit. 18 to hit. [00:42:02] Speaker A: That hits. [00:42:04] Speaker D: D8 damage. It is. I'm using my strength bonus, which isn't fantastic, but it is likely the damage of looking to do. All right, so that is four damage. [00:42:19] Speaker C: It is not the damage you're looking to do. [00:42:23] Speaker A: The chain whips out and deals that damage. Anything else? [00:42:30] Speaker D: Well, I have a second attack, so I'm gonna do it again. So that's a 17 to hit. [00:42:36] Speaker A: That hits again. [00:42:37] Speaker D: That is five damage. [00:42:42] Speaker A: Again, Steve. Minor damage. [00:42:45] Speaker D: Well, I'm hitting it. I'm just. That's all. I just get a D8 plus my one. [00:42:51] Speaker C: It is fun to imagine Steve swinging a flail for the first time in years. If ever. [00:42:59] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:43:00] Speaker A: Well, Steve, you are engaged. Anything else? As your foe barely flinches. [00:43:06] Speaker D: Yeah. Bonus action. I am going to be like Kodama. What's up? Hook me up, give me some spice and get them to shift over to where I am standing. [00:43:19] Speaker A: How far can you move? 30ft at a time. That is perfect. Just in range. [00:43:24] Speaker D: Yay. [00:43:25] Speaker A: And guys. [00:43:27] Speaker A: The little regiment of battle hardened Kodamas. They are a movement and they go by Bella. And Bella, guess what? You will get 1d4 of healing. [00:43:39] Speaker C: Do you want me to roll it as they. [00:43:41] Speaker D: Yes, they just as they've just kissed me lightly. As they. [00:43:46] Speaker C: Yeah, and they'll take it. [00:43:48] Speaker A: Just managed to make it to you, Steve. [00:43:51] Speaker C: So I looked it up and I couldn't find it online. But healing doesn't affect temporary healing. It actually. It only affects my hit points. Right. Or temporary hit points. It would only heal my actual hit points. [00:44:02] Speaker A: Correct healing doesn't restore temporary hit points. [00:44:06] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't know why. No, online source doesn't say that distinctly. [00:44:10] Speaker A: Rook, you are up. [00:44:13] Speaker B: I am? Well, Kaitoa has left his crossbow for me, so I'm gonna As I'm running, gonna grab. Well, put away my Bergen's blade and bend down and grab it. [00:44:25] Speaker A: Okay. What are you doing with this crossbow? You are in range. [00:44:30] Speaker B: Okay. [00:44:32] Speaker F: Nolish has 100 to 400 range. And it's a D. It's a D. 10 damage. [00:44:39] Speaker B: Piercing damage. [00:44:41] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:44:41] Speaker B: So D 10. And then it'd be the same adders as like a bow and arrow. [00:44:48] Speaker B: So I'm actually going to imbue this with the. [00:44:55] Speaker B: What I'm gonna do with the right of the frozen. Which means. Well, Rook or Rob, how much hit damage do you have me down for right now? Like, where am I at on my hit points? [00:45:09] Speaker A: Oh, boy. Yeah, well, you died. [00:45:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:45:14] Speaker F: Let'S start with that. [00:45:16] Speaker C: I. I got that. [00:45:17] Speaker B: And then I had a nice long rest. [00:45:19] Speaker A: And I have you back now, I think to something like 47. [00:45:24] Speaker B: 47. [00:45:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:27] Speaker B: Just gotta double check my. What I'm doing here. [00:45:32] Speaker A: But other than that, like, you have not had a short rest. [00:45:35] Speaker C: You know, Rob, they say that 15 minute naps are a lot more beneficial to the human body than one hour naps. [00:45:41] Speaker E: Right? See. [00:45:44] Speaker F: It'S like Leonardo da Vinci. [00:45:48] Speaker B: I will say that like a cat. [00:45:50] Speaker C: Or for a cat nap. [00:45:52] Speaker B: I did circle around Kaito and Zozo a few times and kind of, you know, nestled in there before I really got. I made sure it was super comfy. [00:46:01] Speaker A: Oh man, I can just imagine you guys. [00:46:03] Speaker F: 40 winks, bro. [00:46:06] Speaker A: So right of the frozen, your damage, right. Is cold. Oh, I see on your ranged weapon. [00:46:13] Speaker B: Yeah, so it'll be on the range. So as I shoot it. So I suffer seven. Well, or actually eight damage. So that'll bring me to 39. And I'm gonna take aim at the gargoyles. I guess the as I'm running gargoyle. [00:46:31] Speaker A: Closest to us, it's the back of the two airborne ones. There's like an airborne sort of aven looking archer and then there is a stone dragon and they are about 15ft up into the air and they are totally taking pot shots under the eaves of this structure. So either one of those, you just. [00:46:57] Speaker B: 19. [00:46:58] Speaker A: Okay, well good because. Warning. A warning. Only one shot with this massive crossbow and. And you hit and then you're gonna use what, a cold damage? D8 plus the D10. Yeah, plus your regular modifier. Okay. [00:47:13] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah. [00:47:18] Speaker F: I wasn't even thinking about your hit points to be like, oh, right. Rook died. [00:47:25] Speaker A: It's funny to not want to run into combat. You were the one who pulled him from the waves there. [00:47:32] Speaker F: Yeah, I know. [00:47:35] Speaker B: Regular piercing damage is 8. And then on my cold right damage, it's gonna be a four. [00:47:42] Speaker A: Okay. [00:47:49] Speaker A: Blast then. Rook, you do see your huge crossbow bolt blast in to this winged foe. And there is an extra explosion of frost and stone. [00:48:03] Speaker C: Any are we right now? [00:48:06] Speaker B: We are. [00:48:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:48:08] Speaker C: Like Ben and Jerry over here. [00:48:11] Speaker A: Okay, guys, listen. [00:48:15] Speaker A: Oh, that is fall damage. And how high did I say they were up 15ft. Just one. But Rook, you also see them take some fall damage and now they are on the ground. [00:48:26] Speaker C: Nice. [00:48:28] Speaker B: Sweet. [00:48:31] Speaker B: And then I'm. Well, I'm gonna keep dashing I guess up. So I'm one and a half away, right? [00:48:37] Speaker A: Yeah, you're one and a half away. So now after this, you'll be in combat next move. Or just barely There. [00:48:45] Speaker B: Okay, wait. [00:48:47] Speaker F: How much can we move or how much? [00:48:51] Speaker A: You're moving at 100. [00:48:52] Speaker C: Okay. [00:48:53] Speaker A: And so. [00:48:57] Speaker A: Is Bellik. You will note that one of the gargoyles has been taken down. And you give a little cheer. And Kaitoa, you're on deck next. And then Joe Hawk. [00:49:07] Speaker F: Yep. Rook, you should have just hid by this fish shack and just pop shots off. [00:49:12] Speaker B: I thought about it. [00:49:13] Speaker A: Yeah, eating fish. [00:49:17] Speaker B: But rooks, rooks evil side kind of takes over. He just wants to get in there and fuck something up. [00:49:24] Speaker C: All right, I'm gonna move over to the gargoyle that's attacking Steve. [00:49:32] Speaker A: Okay. Are you. [00:49:35] Speaker A: Leaving the melee range of Slicey and Dicey? [00:49:39] Speaker C: Yep. Take that attack of ot. [00:49:40] Speaker A: Okay, let's see how he does. And I'm trying to hit you beleg with a gnat one. God, it's embarrassing for this gargoyle that is. [00:49:51] Speaker C: Hey man, you know what? It's better for the Gargoyle than taking 20 cold damage. [00:49:55] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. Oh, I see your strategy there. Sly warlock. [00:50:01] Speaker C: Well, they over protect old Stevie. Yeah. All right. And then I am going to throw a double eldritch blast at the the little stealthy gargoyle that took that attack. [00:50:13] Speaker A: Steve, point blank range. Will you tee up those two E blasts? Two rolls on AC. [00:50:22] Speaker C: Fuck. It's a 15 and a 12. [00:50:25] Speaker A: 15 hits 12 does not sweet. [00:50:30] Speaker E: Seven. [00:50:31] Speaker C: Damage and blowing back 10ft. [00:50:36] Speaker A: Whoa. Okay. And you're blowing her back in the direction of what? Away from you and Steve. Towards the kind of north east corner of the structure. [00:50:45] Speaker C: Yep. And then to finish my turn, I'll move right right next to Steve so that if she goes to get close to him again that she's gotta take an opportunity attack for me. [00:50:58] Speaker A: Very strategic moves and sword play going on here. Anything else Beleg? [00:51:05] Speaker C: Just a quick, quick Shoulder nudge to Steve. Got you, buddy. [00:51:10] Speaker D: Thanks, man. Can I. Can I do awaken a gun? [00:51:16] Speaker A: You certainly can. What to beleg. [00:51:19] Speaker D: Yeah, I'll just kind of like. Dude, look at the hands for a second and do try to do the one that he did just recently. [00:51:28] Speaker A: Oh, Steve. And your back is warm with the coursing of blood from that stone saber. [00:51:37] Speaker C: Oh, if I can, I'd like to be like slightly into kodamas as well. Let's just get throwing right beside. [00:51:47] Speaker A: That's tough though. No, Bellik, you're either protecting Steve or you're getting the massage from the kodamas. It's one or the other. [00:51:54] Speaker C: I'll protect Steve. [00:51:55] Speaker F: What about like one foot in? [00:51:57] Speaker A: One foot, one ankle in. Okay, I tell you what, man. If you get one egg limit, I'll give you the D. The D6 on disadvantage, okay? [00:52:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:52:06] Speaker A: D6 on disadvantage. When it comes round and you are up, Kaitoa. [00:52:12] Speaker A: Okay, I'm running. [00:52:14] Speaker F: I can't move. Zozo still, so. [00:52:17] Speaker A: Oh, Zozo is totally still on your shoulder. You keep on dropping her and you keep on picking her back up, but you are charging. [00:52:26] Speaker F: Can you just give me access to. [00:52:28] Speaker A: Her and I'll move there. Give you the token. [00:52:31] Speaker F: Does that mean I have access to Zozo's bag of. [00:52:35] Speaker D: Oh, Jesus, no. [00:52:36] Speaker C: Oh, man. [00:52:37] Speaker F: Just start hucking anything. I have no idea. [00:52:43] Speaker C: The only thing 6 mechanic where you just reach into the bag and roll a D6 and whatever you pull. [00:52:48] Speaker F: Yeah, I have no idea what it's gonna do, guys. [00:52:50] Speaker A: The only thing you can throw is Zozo herself or a completely. I will give you a completely random flask. [00:52:57] Speaker F: Sure, that'd be hilarious. Okay, I'm gonna hold off on that one. I moved up ahead of rook. [00:53:06] Speaker F: Okay, that's it for my turn. [00:53:08] Speaker A: Okay, you guys are so close yet far. Joe Hawk, your strategic maneuvering has paid off. And now there is a very vulnerable gargoyle that's been smashed in the head by a rock. Glaived a couple times and it's all frosty. Right in your five foot range. [00:53:32] Speaker E: All right. I'm gonna spend my first attack swinging it upwards from underhanded. [00:53:40] Speaker A: Let's hope there's nothing special between this gargoyle's legs. [00:53:44] Speaker E: Reckless attacking. So everything is advantage against me for a natural 17. [00:53:50] Speaker A: That'll hit. [00:53:51] Speaker E: Wow, I'm so good at dealing. Almost. Max damage. [00:53:56] Speaker E: Total of 15 damage. [00:53:59] Speaker A: Okay, well, now you see one of the whole wings and the whole side of it. The kind of Beleg and Steve were poking away at right. The face is gone. It was glaived. Now the wing comes off. The leg the beleg took off is in rubble on the ground. There's very little left to this gargoyle. [00:54:19] Speaker E: Well, what comes up as I swung my hammer up. Second attack coming down. Natural 19. That's a crit. [00:54:27] Speaker A: Oh, critting on the 19. So double damage dice. And you're just ragdolling this stone. [00:54:33] Speaker C: Figure this is gonna be an overkill. [00:54:36] Speaker E: My dice didn't love me last session, but they're making up for it this time. [00:54:40] Speaker C: Hey Steve, you want small pieces of rock to throw at people? [00:54:44] Speaker D: Stop rolling too. [00:54:46] Speaker C: Because I think there's about to be a whole bunch of small pieces of stone to throw. [00:54:50] Speaker D: Yeah, no, I just. [00:54:51] Speaker E: I just imagine damage. [00:54:54] Speaker B: Just imagine Steve as like David with a little slingshot. [00:54:58] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:55:01] Speaker A: Johawk, you have whipped this creature up into the air and then smashed them back down into the frozen ground. [00:55:13] Speaker C: And there used to be a phenomenal sub zero combo that did that in Mortal Kombat. [00:55:17] Speaker A: Oh, there is so little left of this gargoyle that in fact Steve, actually as you would hope, there is some really nice munitions now if you wanted to throw some stones. But Joe Hawk your. [00:55:32] Speaker E: Is it dead? [00:55:33] Speaker A: Your foe here is vanquished. He's dead. [00:55:38] Speaker D: So did the. [00:55:40] Speaker E: Did the shooter. Are they within my reach? If I move to them, one of. [00:55:45] Speaker A: Them has been taken out of the air. The archer. The avian looking archer. But the dragon that spits stone lances is 50ft out and 15ft up. [00:55:58] Speaker E: So as my racial feature, I move half my speed and then make a bite attack. Except there's. When I move half my speed, there's not going to be anyone close to me. [00:56:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:56:08] Speaker E: That puts me in the ability to move all my speed and action surge. So I get to attack twice. [00:56:17] Speaker C: Again. [00:56:18] Speaker A: Nice. Did you just bite the air? [00:56:20] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:56:21] Speaker A: Okay. [00:56:22] Speaker E: It's like a. It's a practice thing where I like run up and like lean into it with my neck and bite something but there is nothing there. [00:56:31] Speaker C: Is that like a roll intimidation? [00:56:35] Speaker A: It's a racial feat of my homebrew knoll. [00:56:39] Speaker D: It's like when a dog has a fly. [00:56:44] Speaker D: But you don't notice the fly. You just see the dog like randomly. [00:56:47] Speaker C: Bite at the air or you blow in its face. [00:56:53] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:56:56] Speaker A: So yes. I mean you have reduced one creature to zero hit hit points and now with this sort of rage you just go out biting. [00:57:04] Speaker E: No way. I promise I'm not fudging these dice. But this is a natural 20. [00:57:09] Speaker A: Nice roll on damage. [00:57:12] Speaker E: 12. 16. Another 22 damage. [00:57:18] Speaker A: This creature is gone. It just disintegrated in a cloud of dust to. [00:57:26] Speaker E: And I have nothing to use my second attack on. Oh, well. [00:57:31] Speaker A: Yeah, well, 15 over and 15 up is a stone gargoyle dragon kind of hovering there, treading air. [00:57:38] Speaker E: I'll give. I'll give the gargoyle another. The dead one. Another smash on the ground. Just to make it. Just to. Just to send the message home. [00:57:47] Speaker E: Locking eyes with this dragon. Intimidation check. [00:57:52] Speaker A: Yeah, sure. Yeah. Intimidation check. [00:57:55] Speaker E: 19 intimidation. [00:57:57] Speaker A: So, yes, you lock eyes and you now sink your huge mole into that pile of dust. [00:58:07] Speaker F: It's like Fantasia. [00:58:09] Speaker A: That's the one. [00:58:10] Speaker E: This is when I start cackling. [00:58:13] Speaker E: Maniacally. [00:58:16] Speaker E: Yes. [00:58:17] Speaker A: There is a ferocious gnoll on the battlefield that has taken this phalanx of five gargoyles. Numbers down from five to two. And you are up, gargoyles. They're gonna launch one stone that will not hit. That will not hit at all. Any stone lance kind of drops midair out of this dragon terribly. [00:58:40] Speaker E: Is that against Johawk? [00:58:41] Speaker A: That was against you, Johawk. [00:58:43] Speaker E: Did you factor in advantage? [00:58:45] Speaker A: I did not. So honest. [00:58:47] Speaker E: Oh, this is gonna be another hit. [00:58:50] Speaker A: No, that is also not. That is a five plus four for nine. [00:58:53] Speaker E: Yes. [00:58:55] Speaker B: That's why your dice rolled so well. Karma. [00:58:57] Speaker D: That intimidation. [00:58:59] Speaker A: Okay, you have a strike coming at you, Beleg. It is definitely hitting with a 17. [00:59:06] Speaker D: Yep. [00:59:07] Speaker A: This gargoyle I don't think has learned though. And so I feel there's gonna be 20 coming, right? [00:59:14] Speaker C: Yep. My plan was to Eldritch blast if she moved into my range, my Pam to blow her back. [00:59:23] Speaker C: And that's a non nat 20. [00:59:27] Speaker C: Off under coach. There we go. So that's eight damage and 10ft back. [00:59:33] Speaker A: Now, if she hasn't struck you, though, she didn't hit that icy ag at the this. [00:59:37] Speaker C: Yeah, no, she didn't. It's probably better for her. [00:59:40] Speaker A: Yeah, she's rebuffed. She is robust. [00:59:43] Speaker C: Okay. Beleg's in full porcupine mode right now. [00:59:46] Speaker A: Okay. But she attacks again. [00:59:49] Speaker C: She moves back into my range again. [00:59:50] Speaker A: She attacks again. [00:59:52] Speaker C: So do I roll another pull? Like another pan? Yep. [00:59:58] Speaker A: And her face is gnarly with this noiseless, terrifying snarl. Okay. [01:00:08] Speaker C: Kaleg was definitely taken off guard by. [01:00:11] Speaker D: The fact that she came back. [01:00:12] Speaker A: Yeah, you were Nat20. [01:00:14] Speaker C: Oh, fuck you. Nat20'd me. [01:00:17] Speaker A: That is a Nat20 right in the corner of my gorgeous dice tray. My blood red dice tray. And her stone saber just comes flying into your nice cake. [01:00:30] Speaker A: So that is 15 damage to you. [01:00:33] Speaker C: Ugh. [01:00:35] Speaker A: And there you do have the one little kodama massaging your ankle, Bellic. But you just took our slice of a stone saber. And that is the bottom of the order. [01:00:51] Speaker C: Yeah, that took my. My temporary hit points to zero, too. So she didn't take the. The 20 cold damage. [01:00:58] Speaker A: Oh, she didn't? [01:00:59] Speaker C: I don't think so. [01:01:01] Speaker D: Oh. [01:01:01] Speaker A: Interesting. If a creature hits you with a melee attack while you have these hit points, the creature takes them. [01:01:08] Speaker C: Hit me while I had them. I don't have them now, but when she hit me. [01:01:12] Speaker A: Yeah, well, in this point, I would say. Yeah, of course she hit you while you had them. No, she. She does take it. She does. And, Bellic. Yes? You have vanquished them. They are no longer active. [01:01:25] Speaker C: Oh. The stone saber pierces me. And then from inside me, it just becomes ice freezing until it envelops her entire body. And then I like to think Steve poked her and she shattered. [01:01:41] Speaker D: Just a kick in the ass. Yeah. [01:01:45] Speaker C: Huh. Cool spell, Beleg! [01:01:51] Speaker A: And that is where we will have to leave you until the next time on Dungeons and Blaggards. [01:03:02] Speaker F: Remember when me and Rook spent a whole game moving.
