[00:00:01] Speaker A: Welcome, friends and adventurers to another episode of Dungeons and Blaggards. I am the dungeon Master, Robulon. Joining me in no particular order are the players. Eric! [00:00:16] Speaker B: I'm Eric and I'm playing Dr. Zozo Brightfeather. She is a level nine Aarakocra artificer potionsmith. Brandon! [00:00:25] Speaker B: I'm Ekurook Punschley. Level nine blood hunter, half orc. Caleb! [00:00:32] Speaker B: I'm a level nine warforged barbarian: Kaitoa Tata. Braeden! [00:00:40] Speaker C: Hey, I'm Braeden. I'm playing half elf, Beleg Dygar, Level 9 hexblade warlock. Tomo! [00:00:50] Speaker B: Hey, I'm playing Steve Tehuman. I am a Gloomstalker Ranger level five, Battle Master Fighter, level three. And I have just a little schmeck of rogue. And I have an Owl. Vale! [00:01:06] Speaker B: I am playing Johawk the Gnoll, a champion fighter 4, Bear totem barbarian five. [00:01:20] Speaker A: Previously on Dungeons and Blackguards. Beleg, you just escaped the perimeter and all of this whipping up sand sort of cuts into your leg and ouchie. It even hits where that hatchet hit you in the thigh. [00:01:34] Speaker D: I don't like it Just to pour dirt on the wound. [00:01:38] Speaker A: Well, so in this moment, guys, I would say initiative is still there. You've dashed all the way. Beleg. Is there anything else at the end of your move? And then it's Steve. Nope. [00:01:49] Speaker B: I would have taken the fastest. The fastest route, whatever that is that. [00:01:55] Speaker A: That was following the knoll then. [00:01:58] Speaker B: And he is now brandishing a weapon. [00:02:01] Speaker D: Yes. [00:02:01] Speaker A: Can you describe your weapon there, bud? [00:02:04] Speaker D: It is a very large hammer and it's got some scratchings on it. Very crude scratches. Not done like, professionally. It's just brute forced characters in the maul written in. [00:02:26] Speaker A: It sounds like what Steve does to his little daggers. [00:02:31] Speaker B: And he's within. Like, how close is he at this point? [00:02:36] Speaker A: Given your indication, you wouldn't dash directly towards this gnoll brandishing a huge maul. I'd say you're 30ft away. [00:02:44] Speaker B: Okay, I move my 30ft back here. So I'm at 60, and I don't like that he's got a weapon in his hands. So I'm going to use. [00:02:57] Speaker B: My attacks to disable or have him drop his weapon. Is this considered a new. A new fight or is it. We're still in the Same fight. [00:03:07] Speaker A: Same Steve, 22. Beleg 17. Johawk 7. [00:03:11] Speaker B: Perfect. [00:03:13] Speaker A: Oh, and then the circle, the transportation summoning circle has also entered initiative. [00:03:21] Speaker B: Okay, I'm going to. [00:03:25] Speaker B: Put a hunter's mark on Joe. [00:03:29] Speaker D: Is there a save? I get to Roll. Nope. Okay. [00:03:34] Speaker A: You have been marked. [00:03:36] Speaker B: I'm gonna throw daggers. I. I want to have him drop the weapon. It's not to necessarily hurt him. I just want to keep his weapon. [00:03:46] Speaker A: Out of his hand. A disarming throw. Okay. [00:03:48] Speaker B: Yeah. First attack is a five, which does nothing. Second attack is a 16. 19 to hit. That'll hit. Rob, how do you want to do the chance to disarm? Do I just negate the sharpshooter attack? Okay. [00:04:10] Speaker A: What else in your movement as one hairy paw is released from this weapon? [00:04:18] Speaker B: So that's. That's my action. Did my move, did my bonus. That's good for me. [00:04:22] Speaker A: Okay, Beleg, you're up. [00:04:25] Speaker C: Yep. [00:04:26] Speaker A: Okay, roll on ac. [00:04:29] Speaker D: Did the dagger do damage, by the way? [00:04:32] Speaker B: I mean, I can roll. I can roll damage for it. [00:04:35] Speaker A: Absolutely. Regular damage. Oh, yeah. [00:04:37] Speaker B: So not the Plus 10, though. [00:04:40] Speaker A: You can withdraw the sharpshooter. Yeah. [00:04:45] Speaker C: 25, by the way. [00:04:46] Speaker A: Whoa. And you have been struck by a glaive. [00:04:50] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Eight damage for. For the dagger half of that. [00:04:55] Speaker A: Well, Johawk, as you feel one softer, if you want to call it that, dagger hit, try to kind of disarm you. Here comes a half elf thrusting at you with an eight foot long polearm. [00:05:09] Speaker C: Not too bad. It's only seven damage. [00:05:11] Speaker A: Okay. [00:05:12] Speaker D: Half of that is three, I think. [00:05:14] Speaker C: Oh, you're raging. You're one of those. [00:05:17] Speaker A: Yeah, but like anything else in your move, a second attack. [00:05:25] Speaker C: Oh, yes. It's been so long since I got one of these. That's another 20. [00:05:30] Speaker A: Okay, double the damage dice. [00:05:33] Speaker C: What? 11 and 6. So 17 damage. [00:05:39] Speaker D: Half of that is 8. [00:05:42] Speaker A: Okay, Beleg, describe how your critical hit is just not as great as it might. [00:05:50] Speaker C: So, like, when you go to cut a pineapple, you want to cut all the way through it, but you can't get all the way through it. [00:06:01] Speaker C: Yeah, see, it's like Belly just like throws his glaive and then he hits core, AKA rage. And it's very disappointing. [00:06:14] Speaker D: Despite how little damage it does. I'm still gonna yelp. Thank you. [00:06:24] Speaker D: And Johawk, you are up as my bonus action. I'm going to second wind. So I'm getting back. [00:06:33] Speaker D: I'm getting back. Seven health. [00:06:34] Speaker A: Okay, second wind as a bonus action. [00:06:38] Speaker D: So I'm at 55 hit points now. Bring him back when I knock him down. And I'm going to the attacker, grabbing my maul back in two hands if I can. [00:06:50] Speaker A: Yes, you were only momentarily molested there. [00:06:54] Speaker D: I am going to. [00:06:58] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:06:59] Speaker D: Attack twice. [00:07:00] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:07:02] Speaker B: What's the point of disabling Him? [00:07:05] Speaker A: Yeah, I. I don't know about withdrawing that 10 damage, Steve. I. I don't think that was a good move. [00:07:10] Speaker D: All right, is 13. [00:07:15] Speaker C: That's on AC. No it doesn't. [00:07:18] Speaker D: Second attack. [00:07:19] Speaker B: Okay. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Same target. The Warlock or the Ranger? The Warlock. [00:07:24] Speaker D: That'll be a dirty 20 versus AC. [00:07:27] Speaker A: A non natural 20 mm roll damage. [00:07:33] Speaker D: That is a 5 and a 2. I get to reroll the 2 and that turned into a 6. 11 plus. [00:07:42] Speaker D: 6. [00:07:44] Speaker C: How much damage? [00:07:45] Speaker D: I just take 17. [00:07:47] Speaker C: What? [00:07:49] Speaker D: 17 damage. [00:07:51] Speaker C: Oh, sweet. Hey Steve. Yeah, I'm unconscious. [00:08:00] Speaker A: You've fallen below on this move. [00:08:03] Speaker C: I. Not below. I'm at exactly zero right now. [00:08:08] Speaker A: Yeah, you are conked the fuck out. [00:08:13] Speaker C: Yep. [00:08:15] Speaker D: As I am a gnoll, I get to move half my speed immediately. But I'm going to move away from the Ranger. I would normally get a bite attack, but I don't think anyone's in my melee. [00:08:30] Speaker D: Before I back up. I. I say heal him and convince him to stop. [00:08:36] Speaker A: That is what you shout there. And why don't you roll a persuasion? Uh. [00:08:42] Speaker D: 14. [00:08:44] Speaker A: Okay. And just as you do so, Steve, you see this gnoll, you know, forming these words in his slavering jaw in front of the transportation circle that is now whipping, whipping around. [00:09:04] Speaker A: And five figures are materializing in the transportation circle. [00:09:11] Speaker C: 5. [00:09:15] Speaker C: Can we stop and wait until next week when we have more players? [00:09:18] Speaker A: Steve, you are at the very top of the order. And Steve, you are witness to five what can only be described as stone gargoyles that have now appeared amongst the swirling bits of sand and dirt right in the middle of the transportation summoning circle. [00:09:40] Speaker B: God damn it. [00:09:43] Speaker C: Revive me... [00:09:47] Speaker B: As a bonus action, I am casting healing spirit right on top of Belle Egg. [00:09:52] Speaker A: Okay. The spirit of healing. [00:09:54] Speaker B: Yeah, a little kodamas jumping all over them and. Good Lord, there is no cover here. [00:10:04] Speaker B: Are these, these posts, would they offer any kind of break in vision? [00:10:10] Speaker A: Yes. Each of the posts is approximately 7 and a half feet in diameter and they are also of marble and they are approximately 15ft tall. [00:10:23] Speaker B: All right. Well I'm kodama-ing Beleg's body there and I am getting one of these posts at least between me and the center of this circle. [00:10:33] Speaker A: Okay. Taking a little cover. Okay. And then the kodamas begin to do their healing work. What happens? This moment, this round. [00:10:42] Speaker C: Thank goodness. [00:10:45] Speaker B: Well, so it's D6 per round. I believe in one. In one minute it's 10 times, right? [00:10:51] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. So I rolled a three. So I'm at three health now. [00:10:57] Speaker A: You rolled three there, Beleg. [00:10:59] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:11:00] Speaker A: You didn't fall. So, we're not in death saving throw territory. The kodamas help you back. [00:11:08] Speaker C: I am a man again. I'm a human being again. [00:11:12] Speaker B: Well, a half elf, a half human. [00:11:15] Speaker C: I'm a half human being again. [00:11:18] Speaker B: And these things have fully materialized or they are still in the process. [00:11:23] Speaker A: Oh, they are here. That was their move. [00:11:26] Speaker D: Damn it. [00:11:27] Speaker B: Alright, well, I guess if I can make myself as stealthy as possible, that's what I'm doing. Because there's not much else I can do here. [00:11:37] Speaker C: I don't know why you're not killing that gnoll [00:11:41] Speaker A: Beleg, you whisper that - the very first thing on your lips after you regain consciousness and you see Steve press himself against the marble pillar. Anything else in your move, Steve? Stealth? [00:11:54] Speaker B: I do want to roll Stealth, but before I do that, I slap Beleg. Slap Beleg's shoulder and point at the center of the this teleporting circle. And then I, and then I sink into the column. [00:12:09] Speaker A: Okay, roll that Stealth. And Beleg, you are slapped on the shoulder. And there are five figures - stone - and can only be described as gargoyles. [00:12:22] Speaker C: Five figures near there hey. [00:12:25] Speaker A: They have been summoned all right into the center. Probably just a 15 or 20 foot diameter right in the center of this summoning circle. Steve, what was that? [00:12:37] Speaker B: 14 plus 9 for 23. [00:12:40] Speaker A: Oh, melting away into the sunny side actually of this pillar. Beleg, you're up. [00:12:50] Speaker C: I am going to roll shatter on the five figures because they're all within like, like what radius? [00:13:01] Speaker A: They're within about a 15 to 20 foot radius right in the center [00:13:06] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll easily hit all of them. [00:13:08] Speaker A: Ooh, shatter. Okay. [00:13:10] Speaker C: I got caught off guard. Steve knocked me on the shoulder and then I. I went for it. [00:13:17] Speaker C: All right, 3D8 plus 1D8 for each slot above second level. So 5D8 is 20... 21 damage to all of them. [00:13:38] Speaker A: Whoa. Can you describe how there is just in the same moment that all the swirling dust and the transportation concludes. Can you describe how you deal this damage to all five? [00:13:51] Speaker C: Yeah, well, Beleg is very focused on Mr. Gnoll until Steve taps him on the shoulder and makes him more aware of the five figures that have just appeared. And he kind of like reflexively points his finger and is like "aw, fuck!" [00:14:11] Speaker C: And throws shatter at the the five figures. And that's a... just a big boom. A big boom. [00:14:21] Speaker C: That's what happens. [00:14:23] Speaker A: Wow. Okay. [00:14:26] Speaker C: How do they look? Okay, they look okay. [00:14:34] Speaker A: You are assured that you have dealt damage, assured, and you've sort of rocked their - pardon the pun - 'rocky disposition', you know, whereas before they seemed to be just sort of stoic and standing there. Clearly all of them are sort of blown back a bit. And you actually do see a little bit of their rocky skin sort of get blown away. So definitely damage was dealt. But, I mean, none of them are down. [00:15:04] Speaker C: All right. [00:15:06] Speaker B: Yeah, boy. [00:15:07] Speaker A: Johawk, you are up. [00:15:09] Speaker C: Keep running! [00:15:17] Speaker D: Do you need my help? [00:15:21] Speaker C: Oh, I don't want to say yes. [00:15:28] Speaker D: I'm gonna wait for an answer. [00:15:30] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:32] Speaker B: Steve very quietly lifts two thumbs up. [00:15:38] Speaker B: But does not break. [00:15:39] Speaker D: Still, I'm focused on Beleg. [00:15:44] Speaker C: Both are in your field of view. [00:15:46] Speaker B: Yeah, one thumb was for Beleg, one thumb was for Steve [00:15:53] Speaker C: Beleg gives you nothing. As much as Braden, Player character, would love help. [00:16:05] Speaker D: Can I see if the gargoyles have any kind of ranged attacks? [00:16:10] Speaker A: Certainly roll a perception ...3. [00:16:18] Speaker B: You guys are so alike. [00:16:20] Speaker D: Classic. [00:16:24] Speaker B: See, you have that in common. We can all be friends. Let's do this. [00:16:27] Speaker C: We have a lot in common. [00:16:34] Speaker A: Unfortunately. All you see is that these gargoyles are unique. Each one is uniquely, you know, styled after a certain race or after a. [00:16:46] Speaker C: Certain sort of perhaps class one is Raphael, Michelangelo. [00:16:55] Speaker D: I'm going to move 40ft in the direction of the circle, but also away from Beleg. [00:17:02] Speaker C: Yes. [00:17:03] Speaker A: Okay. [00:17:04] Speaker B: I'm going to use message to Johawk and I'm going to whisper, these new friends of yours. [00:17:12] Speaker D: Can I respond to that? [00:17:13] Speaker A: You tell me, Steve. [00:17:16] Speaker B: He can't respond to message, I guess maybe with body language, but certainly not talk back to me. He can yell. [00:17:25] Speaker D: I shake my head. [00:17:27] Speaker B: Okay. [00:17:28] Speaker D: And I will ready an attack for if anything approaches me. [00:17:34] Speaker A: Well, yeah, as you look back at the scene, the. Those five gargoyle stone figures have not yet moved from the center of the summoning circle. You see Steve pressed against the back one of the marble pillars. Beleg has not found cover yet. Anything else at the rest of your move, Johawk? [00:17:53] Speaker D: That's it for me. Other than the readied action. [00:17:58] Speaker B: Is Steve close enough to be able to toss one of his red remaining healing potions to Beleg? [00:18:06] Speaker A: Yeah, you're gonna. You're at the top of the order. Except something else is about to happen, Steve. [00:18:11] Speaker B: Ro. [00:18:11] Speaker D: Ro. [00:18:13] Speaker B: Don't die, Beleg. No dying. [00:18:18] Speaker A: The gargoyles immediately spread out. Two of them take to the air. [00:18:25] Speaker A: And the other three begin stalking towards the sort of south and in the east cardinal points. I mean, they seem to be heading directly for Beleg and Steve and Joe Hawk. I mean, you're all within visual range. Even you, Joe Hawk. Although you're. You're Quite a bit further away. They are activated and they start closing the distance. Luckily they are far away at the center here, and they will at this point only be in range of Beleg. Here comes a stony Lance. [00:19:02] Speaker A: It's 13. [00:19:04] Speaker C: Oh no. [00:19:05] Speaker A: That does not hit. [00:19:07] Speaker B: Do you get your opportunity attack? As they come in for an attack, a lance has. [00:19:12] Speaker A: Has buried itself right into your cloak, Beleg. But it has not hit you. It is like a stone lance. [00:19:29] Speaker A: Steve, you're up. [00:19:32] Speaker B: I'm going to Fuck. They're attacking him. All right, so they are within five feet now of Belle right here. [00:19:41] Speaker A: No, no, it looks like only the two that have taken off. One of them was the one who launched the ranged lands. [00:19:51] Speaker C: Oh, ranged, yes. Okay. That's why I didn't get the opportunity attack. [00:19:55] Speaker A: Okay, throne lands. [00:19:57] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm going to attack that one. If they're attacking Beleg, I'm attacking back. So, okay, So I get first attack is 17 plus 3. [00:20:12] Speaker A: 20. [00:20:14] Speaker A: What type of damaging is this, Steve? [00:20:18] Speaker B: I guess it would be piercing. [00:20:20] Speaker A: It hits, but you feel like this damage may in some way be resisted. [00:20:26] Speaker B: Yay. [00:20:30] Speaker B: Excellent. Okay, well, here's the damage anyway. [00:20:35] Speaker B: 7. 10 plus 10 for 20. [00:20:39] Speaker A: Okay, but so no hunter's mark on this foe. No. Yeah. Okay, so 20. And certainly your arrow finds itself its mark and you see an immediate crackling of the stone skin. [00:20:54] Speaker B: Okay, second attack. [00:20:57] Speaker B: 15 plus 3 for 18. [00:21:00] Speaker A: Another hit, his same target, the one I would call this one the winged archer archetype Gargoyle. [00:21:08] Speaker B: Okay, that is. [00:21:12] Speaker B: 9. 312 plus 10. 22. [00:21:17] Speaker B: Jesus. [00:21:19] Speaker D: Wow. [00:21:20] Speaker A: Again striking home. [00:21:23] Speaker B: Okay, and then as a bonus attack, I'm gonna do the Last 1. [00:21:28] Speaker B: The 10/3 13. [00:21:31] Speaker A: That does not hit. [00:21:33] Speaker B: All right, and I'm going to make use of the. The stone pillar again. Cut vision. [00:21:42] Speaker A: You use the remainder of your movement to get back under cover. And now you're under 100% cover. And Beleg, you're up. [00:21:51] Speaker B: Fuck. [00:21:53] Speaker C: Beleg is. [00:21:56] Speaker C: He is healing gauntlets because he needs some fucking help. [00:21:59] Speaker B: You get another D6 because you're still sitting in the. In the kodama patch. [00:22:05] Speaker C: Oh, shit. [00:22:05] Speaker D: Nice. [00:22:06] Speaker A: It's a kodama patch. [00:22:10] Speaker A: Yeah, the kodama is there - these cute little kodamas are still giving you one D6 at the very beginning of your move, Beleg. [00:22:18] Speaker C: All right, so that's six. And then I am going to use my healing gauntlet. It's only been one day though, so I only get one D4, don't I? [00:22:28] Speaker A: Although the sun is up, your gauntlet has only been recharged so much. [00:22:33] Speaker C: That's a 3:12. [00:22:38] Speaker C: And then how far away am I from everybody? [00:22:41] Speaker A: Well, your only paces from Steve and the pillar. And you see that knoll a little bit further away from the circle towards the, the open air sort of tannery, fish market perhaps dog sled area. [00:22:57] Speaker C: And how far away are the, the five gargoyles? [00:23:01] Speaker A: They are only about 60ft away. The airborne ones that threw a lance at you and the other one and the ones on the ground are perhaps about 60 as well. [00:23:12] Speaker C: Okay, I, I look at the gnoll and try to give a. I don't like this situation, but this is the situation we're in. [00:23:22] Speaker B: Look. [00:23:25] Speaker B: Just use your eyes. Yeah, you can give them away just using your eyes. [00:23:30] Speaker D: Personally, I'm going to make an insight check to see if I understand that. [00:23:34] Speaker A: Lovely. Roll that insight Beleg. Love it. And what are you doing here? I mean you are exposed Beleg as you try to convey this. What are you doing? [00:23:44] Speaker C: Oh, oh, I'm preparing my glaive. Yeah, I'm getting ready. I'm not backing away because that's not Beleg style. I am just preparing my glaive and waiting for something to come into my range and I'm gonna fuck them up. [00:24:01] Speaker A: Okay, Johawk, what did you roll on? Insight 12. Okay, you catch the eye of this half elf. I mean you are catching his little motion. [00:24:10] Speaker D: I'm going to yell into a building, get cover and I'm going to move and dash a total of 80ft towards the closest building. [00:24:22] Speaker A: That is the open air sort of fish market tannery. [00:24:27] Speaker D: Okay. How high is the roof? [00:24:32] Speaker A: You would have to do a quite an athletic jump up. Is it about 10 to 12ft up? And it is. [00:24:38] Speaker D: I'm not trying to jump up. I'm just trying to see if I'll be able to hit them if they come over here. [00:24:44] Speaker A: 12Ft up. [00:24:45] Speaker D: Okay, that's good enough. Do I actually get into it? [00:24:49] Speaker A: You would be now say at the big wooden timber pillars of, of this structure. Yeah. Johawk, we can say safely that you made it there. [00:25:02] Speaker D: Okay, I'll take cover behind one of the beams. [00:25:07] Speaker A: Okay. And Beleg, you see this gnoll cast your eye and give you a bit of a strategic 'over to the cover!' shout [00:25:16] Speaker B: Sweet [00:25:19] Speaker A: Johawk, I mean that was certainly the interaction part of your move. That was certainly the run part of your move. Is there anything else you would do in this moment? [00:25:29] Speaker D: No. [00:25:30] Speaker A: It is time for these creatures to act. And the airborne archer sort of archetype one is flying directly towards Beleg and Steve's sort of pillar. And you know Beleg the moment you stand up and you know get yourself sort of all straightened out, you know you rip half of your cloak because there's that stone lance right that pierced you. And as you stand up your cloak just rips right down the center. [00:26:03] Speaker C: No, I like that cloak. [00:26:06] Speaker B: That's such a fancy cloak too. So fancy. [00:26:09] Speaker C: At least my toque is still in one piece. [00:26:12] Speaker A: And here comes another stone lance. No, that is a natty one. [00:26:19] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:26:22] Speaker A: And guys, you see this stone lens drop straight from the sky. It's like this one has butterfingers. [00:26:31] Speaker C: Beleg like laughs at him. [00:26:35] Speaker A: However, you see the three on the ground? They are dashing towards your pillar there, Steve slash Beleg, they have closed the distance. They are now only within about 30ft. And then it's like the summoning circle, that circle is starting to whip up again. [00:26:54] Speaker C: Oh man. [00:26:55] Speaker B: Okay. [00:26:57] Speaker A: And we're at the top of the order, Steve. [00:27:02] Speaker B: Alright, so the. The Gnoll has run off and has called us to do the same. Steve is going to back up here. [00:27:10] Speaker A: Okay Steve, make a stealth check. [00:27:13] Speaker B: 129 for 21. [00:27:15] Speaker A: You were just using the blind spot of this. You're trying to keep the pillar as the blind spot between like five foes and you slowly are kind of backing away. You're okay for now Steve. [00:27:28] Speaker B: I'm going to back up to the. This is the building here that the Gnoll has gone to. [00:27:34] Speaker A: Correct. [00:27:35] Speaker B: All right. That's quite a run, huh? [00:27:39] Speaker A: It is a perfect 60 foot dash. [00:27:42] Speaker B: Okay, I'm going to. Since Beleg is close enough, I'm going to give him a whistle and toss him one of my. One of my potions. [00:27:50] Speaker A: Okay. Can you make a dexterity check as you toss that? And Beleg. Can you make a receiving catcher dexterity check? [00:27:58] Speaker D: Dexter. [00:28:01] Speaker C: Ah, not 2016. I can catch the shit out of you. [00:28:06] Speaker B: 22. [00:28:07] Speaker C: Yeah, that's smooth. It's a very smooth toss. [00:28:10] Speaker A: Oh, there is even a nice little. [00:28:17] Speaker B: Hopefully it's a good one. [00:28:19] Speaker C: Be the potion, Danny. Be the potion. [00:28:22] Speaker A: You can slam that potion Beleg and that will be either. We don't know. We never know what the master in lantern is going to provide on a healing potion. So first we're gonna find out greater or lesser. It is a greater. [00:28:38] Speaker B: Yes. [00:28:38] Speaker A: Yeah. That is a 1D4 plus 4. [00:28:41] Speaker C: 1D4 plus 4. [00:28:43] Speaker A: Nice shot of healing. Ooh. [00:28:46] Speaker C: 3 plus 4 7. [00:28:49] Speaker B: I'm sorry I chopped your leg. [00:28:54] Speaker B: Goodbye. And then I run off. [00:29:01] Speaker C: Steve. Oh baby. I'm up to 19. 19 hit points gentlemen. I am rife with hit points. [00:29:10] Speaker B: Back on top, baby. [00:29:14] Speaker D: As long as they don't deal psychic damage, I have essentially 110 hit points. [00:29:20] Speaker B: Good Lord, Steve. [00:29:23] Speaker A: You look over about 80ft, and you have joined the knoll, and he kind of winks at you and kind of taps his chest like, 'I'm a bag of hit points'. [00:29:34] Speaker C: Certainly I'm a bag of hit points. I don't know what you tell, but that makes me think of a certain DJ Shadow Song. [00:29:44] Speaker A: So, Beleg, you are getting a little abandoned right now. But, Steve, anything else in your mouth? [00:29:50] Speaker B: All right, I beckoned Beleg to come to the... [00:29:56] Speaker D: Come on. [00:29:58] Speaker B: That's all I got. I used my entire, my entire action to move that 60s. Oh, boy. [00:30:03] Speaker A: Beleg, you're up. And the very first thing you're gonna do, you have to consume a bonus action or your, you know, your environmental sort of interaction for slamming that healing potion. But you have your full movement, and you have your full action. [00:30:18] Speaker C: I am gonna do that. [00:30:21] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:30:22] Speaker C: Another D6. Fuck, yes. [00:30:25] Speaker B: God, I love the kodamas. Those little. Those little kodamas, man. There's like a million little kodamas just massaging you right now. It feels great. [00:30:32] Speaker C: I love it. [00:30:33] Speaker A: The thing is, Steve, this is the first time that you've used the kodamas in battle. And as they kind of seep out between the - it's permafrost that is just giving way to the spring thaw here - and as they kind of creep out, you know what, Steve? Now the kodamas, they are armed. [00:30:52] Speaker A: Little icicles. [00:30:54] Speaker A: Tiny little ice shields, and tiny little ice spears. And, you know, now they're doing big battlefield healing. [00:31:02] Speaker B: And these ones are like little craggy, rocky guys with bits of. [00:31:06] Speaker C: I had zero health three turns ago, and now I'm at 22, and it's amazing. I'm so happy about it. [00:31:11] Speaker A: You guys have died a lot in the last two sessions. [00:31:15] Speaker C: Dude, this is the first time I died. [00:31:19] Speaker C: This is new. It's terrible. I hate it. [00:31:23] Speaker C: And I'm running towards Steve. [00:31:25] Speaker A: Okay, Beleg, you are not running. You are crawling. [00:31:29] Speaker C: I am crawling towards Steven and the gnoll. I don't like the gnoll. [00:31:33] Speaker A: Still, the kodamas are helping you. They're like tiny little caterpillar legs helping you along. [00:31:41] Speaker C: Is it like just this weird motivation chant that they're doing? Are they actually pushing me along. [00:31:50] Speaker B: Like little fans? [00:31:53] Speaker C: Do it. You can't do it. [00:31:56] Speaker A: If your aim is to rejoin with Steve, then you have made it. [00:32:03] Speaker C: That is my aim. I still. I, I give Gnolly a dirty look, but I'm with Steve. [00:32:09] Speaker A: I will have you roll a Stealth because there are searching seeking eyes on you. Especially you. [00:32:19] Speaker C: That is a 16 plus two 18. [00:32:26] Speaker A: You know, Beleg, as your pale gray blue cloak, tattered little piece that has been impaled by the stone javelin sits there. And as your own figure crawls and dashes, you are totally seen by all of these stone. [00:32:48] Speaker B: Jesus. [00:32:48] Speaker C: What the fuck was the DC on that? [00:32:53] Speaker B: Lovely. [00:32:55] Speaker D: I rolled an 18. [00:32:57] Speaker A: Steve is making himself very scarce at about the midpoint of this T shaped building. And Joe Hawk is making himself also very scarce near the northwestern corner of this T shaped building. Joe Hawk, you're up. [00:33:15] Speaker D: I am going to move 40ft in the direction of Beleg and Steve. [00:33:23] Speaker A: Okay. Still within the perimeter of this building. [00:33:27] Speaker B: Yes. [00:33:28] Speaker A: This open air building. [00:33:32] Speaker D: I'm going to make sure that I have at least some cover with the ceiling beams, the pillars supporting it. [00:33:41] Speaker A: Yeah, the outer pillars and the outer eaves. Yep. [00:33:45] Speaker D: I'm going to ready an attack in case any of these gargoyles approach me. And other than that, I shout. [00:33:58] Speaker D: Shall we take them down or flee? [00:34:01] Speaker C: Oh, we're gonna take them down. [00:34:04] Speaker B: I think that Maul's gonna have a much better chance. I believe my daggers. [00:34:10] Speaker D: Then I'm gonna. I'm gonna stay in cover where they can't. [00:34:15] Speaker D: They can't float too much higher than me. [00:34:17] Speaker A: So. Ready to action, Steve, Belleg, you're totally within shouting range. And this gnoll's powerful voice carries out. anything else in your move? [00:34:27] Speaker D: No, that's my turn. [00:34:29] Speaker C: We're gonna fucking kill these guys. [00:34:31] Speaker A: Oh, boy. Steve, I'm gonna say you see a frightening scene for although Beleg, you know, is just returning to your position there around the pillar that you were temporarily cloistered behind. And then Beleg has tried to use as a sort of visual fence between his escape. All five of them, you know, the two airborne ones and the three on the ground are stalking directly towards the party's position. [00:35:06] Speaker B: Okay. [00:35:09] Speaker B: They're. They're intent. Intent on closing on Beleg right now. [00:35:15] Speaker A: Yes. [00:35:16] Speaker B: Okay. I want to get there, get their attention as I move towards the. Towards the knoll. So I'm mocking them and throwing daggers at the. At the closest one. [00:35:33] Speaker B: Hey, you rocky pricks, follow me. [00:35:37] Speaker B: First dagger is a 19 plus three. [00:35:41] Speaker D: 22. [00:35:42] Speaker A: Oh, that hits. [00:35:44] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:35:45] Speaker B: Four plus three for seven, plus 10 is 17. [00:35:51] Speaker B: Second attack, there's a 17 plus three. [00:35:55] Speaker A: Who are you targeting? [00:35:56] Speaker B: Is the. The closest to us? [00:35:58] Speaker A: So I'd be the flying one with the bow. [00:36:02] Speaker B: Yep. And that is 3 plus 3, 6 plus 10, 16. [00:36:10] Speaker B: Okay, so that's. Those are my two attacks. [00:36:17] Speaker B: Going to give Beleg? Is he. Is he looking all right? Or is. Does he want one. Do you want one more healing potion? [00:36:26] Speaker C: I'm looking. [00:36:27] Speaker B: Okay, I got one left. [00:36:32] Speaker C: Keep it. Keep it. Okay. I'll be tough. [00:36:35] Speaker B: Okay. And I'm going to do my move. Get closer to the gnoll here. [00:36:44] Speaker A: Okay. Ooh, Beleg, you're up. [00:36:48] Speaker C: I like, immediately run to join them. [00:36:52] Speaker A: Okay. Now you're under the COVID of this roof. The sun is beating down outside, and these five foes are now approaching you. What else in your move, Bella, you've only moved about 20ft. [00:37:09] Speaker C: Okay, so I've joined them. I moved 20ft. Then I threw an eldritch blast. The two closest gargoyles. [00:37:21] Speaker A: The two closest. One of them is this airborne lancer that threw at you. And the other one seems like an airborne sort of archer, archetype, gargoyle. And so either of them are equal equally. About 60ft away. [00:37:37] Speaker C: Fine. Roll both of them. Shit. Floor. Floor decks. Oh, man. Both those rolls sucked. [00:37:50] Speaker C: Six plus six and a four plus six. So a 10 and a 12. [00:37:55] Speaker A: Okay. [00:37:56] Speaker C: Yeah, I feel that that was to hit. Yeah. [00:38:03] Speaker C: I'm not happy about it. It just. It's how it happened. [00:38:08] Speaker B: It's just the way it is. [00:38:10] Speaker C: It is the way it is. [00:38:11] Speaker A: Nothing over 15. [00:38:14] Speaker C: Oh, God, no. [00:38:15] Speaker A: Nothing equal to or over 15. Okay. [00:38:18] Speaker C: No, I missed both of them. I also, like, I ran back to those guys and I wanted to put my. Myself slightly in front of them. Like, I want me to be in between them and the. The gargoyles just for my, like, opportunity attack. [00:38:35] Speaker A: Got it. You have positioned yourself in a small strategic triangle formation. [00:38:40] Speaker C: Yeah, and my eldritch blast sucked a royal gong. [00:38:47] Speaker A: Yeah. And there is that sort of creepy E blast gong sound, but to no effect 0. [00:38:55] Speaker C: Effect 0. [00:38:59] Speaker A: Johawk, you are up. As the warlock dashes now towards you and Steve are now actually in a rather tight form formation beneath the rafters. [00:39:10] Speaker D: I'm going to. Are the gargoyles within 40ft of me? [00:39:16] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:39:16] Speaker A: Let's say the two airborne ones have made it within the 40ft. [00:39:21] Speaker D: The airborne ones are not the ones I want. So I'm going to. I'm going to stay where I am and again, hold my attack action, waiting for something to approach me. [00:39:35] Speaker A: Your foes are certainly approaching. So a held action. Anything else? [00:39:42] Speaker D: That'll be it. [00:39:43] Speaker A: Okay. Interaction with the environment. Yell to your buddies. Or - well - your tenuous alliance. [00:39:52] Speaker A: Bring the flying ones under the roof. That's gonna be the extent of what I say. [00:39:58] Speaker C: Excellent. [00:39:58] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, no, man, you gotta share that strategic battle stuff. Okay, now, the melee fighters. You see them dashing up and they are, well now within any sort of range of the. The party's thrown weapons. And the flying ones as well are just outside of the eaves. And you can hear their flapping stone wings. And Steve, you are up. [00:40:25] Speaker B: All right. [00:40:27] Speaker B: I am going to continue to shift, am I from my attack so far, Like, I've hit this archer one several times. Is there any indication that I'm doing anything with the. With this stuff? [00:40:44] Speaker A: Yes. The winged archer gargoyle is showing signs of damage where all of your arrows have hit them. [00:40:52] Speaker B: Okay, I'm gonna keep. Keep going at it. [00:40:57] Speaker A: Oh, yes, and that second aerial gargoyle is actually in the shape of a dragon. And so it's that dragon that is sending the lances from within its throat. From down its gorge, it vomits out a stone lance. [00:41:17] Speaker B: Oh, man. If I had. If I had leveled. If these were constructs, oh, the damage I would do. Anyway, I'm gonna attack first attack. Oh, gosh. 10 plus 3. 13. [00:41:30] Speaker A: That doesn't hit. [00:41:32] Speaker B: No hit. [00:41:34] Speaker B: Next attack. [00:41:37] Speaker B: 14 plus 3 for 17. [00:41:40] Speaker B: So that is. [00:41:43] Speaker B: 16 damage were you aiming for? [00:41:48] Speaker B: I mean, if I can. If I can snap one of them stupid stone arms off, that'd be great. [00:41:53] Speaker A: Okay, you keep on whacking arrows into his bow string drawing arm. Yeah, okay. [00:42:01] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm focusing on trying to. Trying to chip an arm off or something. [00:42:07] Speaker A: Stone blasts away midair. Anything else in your move? [00:42:11] Speaker B: I've got a bonus action. And so I'll fire one more shot. [00:42:17] Speaker B: 14 plus three for 17 to hit. [00:42:19] Speaker A: No, that hits. [00:42:21] Speaker B: I keep rolling a one on this stupid die. So that is a one plus three. So that's plus two, six, 10, 16 again. [00:42:34] Speaker A: Finally, there is a little bit of stone chipping off. And you see the arm almost rip in half. [00:42:43] Speaker B: Is someone snoring? [00:42:46] Speaker A: Is it Beleg? [00:42:48] Speaker D: Sounds like it. [00:42:53] Speaker B: Are. My entire - my entire party has fallen asleep! Everyone is cuddled up like kittens by the boat. [00:43:02] Speaker A: Steve, Beleg's on deck. And as you look over to him like he slumped against the pillar. [00:43:10] Speaker D: I Look over at the Gnoll. 'We're not always like this!' [00:43:17] Speaker D: It's Beleg sleeping, right? [00:43:19] Speaker C: Exactly, is there anything else in your move? [00:43:22] Speaker D: I'm glad. [00:43:24] Speaker B: Well, now we can get some work done, I guess. [00:43:30] Speaker B: I, I want to know why Steve is the diplomat of this party right now. It's the worst person to have as a diplomat. [00:43:40] Speaker B: I love the idea of Steve kind of staying there with his hands in the air and like all his entire party just lying down on the ground. [00:43:47] Speaker D: Sleep. [00:43:54] Speaker A: And friends and adventurers, that is where we will have to leave you, until the next time on Dungeons and Blaggards. [00:45:07] Speaker B: Oh, man. Dungeons and Nappers. [00:45:12] Speaker D: If I didn't have five coffees, I'd probably be the same way. [00:45:17] Speaker B: Yeah, and then there were two. Man, that's pretty funny. Hopefully the whole crew will be here next go around. [00:45:27] Speaker D: Do you want me to come back next week? [00:45:30] Speaker A: Vale, if you would like to join us, it would be fantastic if you joined us next week. [00:45:36] Speaker D: I would love to join you. [00:45:37] Speaker B: Next week, I promise I'll try to not have the rest of the party try to kill you. [00:45:43] Speaker D: Oh, no, it's fine. I expected this. [00:45:47] Speaker D: That's why I built him so combat heavy. [00:45:50] Speaker B: Yeah, Yeah. I mean, Oldfoot died a friend, more or less. [00:45:58] Speaker D: Have we seen the body? Is he really dead? [00:46:01] Speaker A: Oh boy. [00:46:05] Speaker A: Possibilities. But it's true. I mean, although everybody is convinced of that. Who knows? [00:46:12] Speaker B: I mean, he was a dwarf in like a techno magical armor suit. Seen some shit. Could be a chance he rode that Kraken out of the ocean and onto land.
