[00:00:01] Speaker A: Welcome, friends and adventurers to another episode of Dungeons and Blaggards. I am the dungeon Master, Robulon. Joining me in no particular order are the players. Eric! [00:00:16] Speaker B: I'm Eric and I'm playing Dr. Zozo Brightfeather. She is a level nine Aarakocra artificer potionsmith. Brandon! [00:00:25] Speaker B: I'm Ekurook Punschley. Level nine blood hunter, half orc. Caleb! [00:00:32] Speaker B: I'm a level nine warforged barbarian: Kaitoa Tata. Braeden! [00:00:40] Speaker C: Hey, I'm Braeden. I'm playing half elf, Beleg Dygar, Level 9 hexblade warlock. Tomo! [00:00:50] Speaker B: Hey, I'm playing Steve Tehuman. I am a Gloomstalker Ranger level five, Battle Master Fighter, level three. And I have just a little schmeck of rogue. And I have an Owl. Vale! [00:01:06] Speaker B: I am playing Johawk the Gnoll, a champion fighter 4, Bear totem barbarian five. [00:01:20] Speaker A: Previously on Dungeons and Blagguards. Kaitoa, you look over and you see this visage here beside Mama Tellfate. It does look like a rather a very old dwarf. [00:01:36] Speaker D: I was asking his name. [00:01:40] Speaker A: Old Vic. [00:01:41] Speaker E: Old Vic. [00:01:42] Speaker A: Old Vic. [00:01:43] Speaker G: Fish on a stick. [00:01:45] Speaker C: Fish on a stick! [00:01:46] Speaker D: I'm gonna ask the old Miss Vicky's what he knows as far as the old wizard's guild [00:02:01] Speaker A: as you stomp over, there, your friend Gustav, you know, reminds you of his name there one last time and party, you see around the bonfire tonight, Kaitoa make his way over to Mama Tellfate and this very small grizzled dwarf. And he looks up at you as you come near him. Kaitoa. [00:02:20] Speaker D: Yeah, so I recall, like flashing the Twin Tower's brooch and I jokingly say, Ms. Twin Vicky's. [00:02:32] Speaker G: Ah, you better come by me fish shack tomorrow [00:02:38] Speaker D: No, I'm here now. [00:02:46] Speaker A: And he points with his long nose. He kind of juts his nose over to the transportation circle. [00:02:54] Speaker G: Ears everywhere. Meet me over me bubbly oil. [00:03:00] Speaker D: Are you worried about the ball I shot into the ocean? [00:03:05] Speaker G: Yeah, I saw that. Good shot eh [00:03:11] Speaker D: I cleaved it into the ocean. [00:03:14] Speaker A: And as you sort of let out a mimicry of this dwarf's voice, and this does sound like a very northern sounding dwarf accent, the night kind of winds down and now it's you and just the dwarf. And now Tellfate moves away. And as we wake up the next morning. Guys, we are gonna do it all again. Steve, can you roll to see if Joe Hawk realizes that you have the tomahawk? Joe, can you roll Firstly. Oh, you are hungry. [00:03:42] Speaker C: Mmm. [00:03:42] Speaker A: Roll constitution to see if you eat Mama Tellfate. And then roll to see if you start to get the better of Steve. Rook, can you roll on your artisanry on the huckleberry ale? Everybody was getting fucked last night on the ale. It is tasting better. [00:03:59] Speaker C: Yeah, that's the kind of. [00:04:04] Speaker B: Okay. [00:04:04] Speaker A: You passed the test. You're good. [00:04:06] Speaker E: That's the kind of party Rook throws. [00:04:08] Speaker F: Cougars and getting on Ale, Natural 19 +4 Perception for 23. [00:04:16] Speaker C: You have a +4 for Perception. Ah, damn. That makes sense if you're proficient. [00:04:21] Speaker A: Perception envy. [00:04:23] Speaker C: Yes, serious perception envy. [00:04:28] Speaker E: I'll do a sleight of hand, I guess. [00:04:31] Speaker A: I like it. [00:04:32] Speaker F: I don't think you'll envy my minus one in most skills. Everything else, history, investigation. [00:04:43] Speaker D: I can perceive you doing every other check. That sounds great. [00:04:49] Speaker E: So that is a 10 plus 8. [00:04:53] Speaker A: Steve, on this fourth day, you start to get the feeling that the gnoll knows. [00:04:58] Speaker E: Oh sure. What do you want? [00:05:02] Speaker F: I'm going to walk up to Steve. [00:05:05] Speaker C: Same thing he always wants. Steve Human to get close to you. [00:05:12] Speaker F: Do you intend to kill me with the hand axe? [00:05:16] Speaker E: What hand axe are you talking about? [00:05:18] Speaker F: The one that I dropped and you picked up. [00:05:22] Speaker E: Oh yeah, that hand axe. [00:05:25] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:25] Speaker E: I don't. I don't know what is going on with that. There was a lot of fighting. You almost caved my buddy's head in. [00:05:33] Speaker F: Do you want to fight for it? [00:05:37] Speaker C: Don't do it. You'll lose your hair. [00:05:39] Speaker E: Like I said, I don't even have it. [00:05:41] Speaker F: Then where is it? [00:05:43] Speaker E: Like I said, there was a big fight. Gargoyles. You almost killed Beleg over there. [00:05:49] Speaker F: He tried to kill me despite your advisements. [00:05:54] Speaker E: I do remember that. [00:05:56] Speaker C: No, he doesn't. [00:05:58] Speaker E: He wasn't very good at it. [00:06:02] Speaker F: Nothing is very good at killing me, I suppose. [00:06:07] Speaker E: Yeah. I don't have the axe. [00:06:11] Speaker A: Steve, can you roll deception? Joe Hawk, in this moment you actually feel like Steve is telling the truth. [00:06:18] Speaker C: Or do you? [00:06:20] Speaker F: Oh, that was cocked. [00:06:22] Speaker E: That is a nine minus one for Steve's amazing ability of deception. [00:06:27] Speaker F: Okay, insight. Total of seven. [00:06:32] Speaker E: I won by one. [00:06:36] Speaker C: If I got. [00:06:37] Speaker F: If I went with what it was mostly on when it was cocked, I would have gotten that. [00:06:42] Speaker A: Steve, you feel like you have been honest. You have kept the Moy Scout honor. That is true. You do not have the tomahawk and Joe Hawk. You also feel that this boy is being forthright. Yes. You are sure he took it. But he is being honest now and then. All of a sudden, guys, you feel a strange silence come about you within about the 60 foot range of the fish shack. All of you sense that there has been a slight change in the atmosphere. [00:07:22] Speaker C: Oh. Beleg looks towards the teleportation circle. [00:07:28] Speaker F: Yeah, my first instinct is the circle. And I draw my hammer. [00:07:32] Speaker B: Zozo's got a fish stick in her hand already. [00:07:36] Speaker A: Okay, Zozo, you are near the fish vendor. [00:07:39] Speaker B: Yep. Yeah. [00:07:41] Speaker C: I mean it makes sense that Zozo would be fucking loving all the fish in this town. [00:07:45] Speaker B: Oh yeah. [00:07:48] Speaker A: The dwarven fishstick vendor is now eagerly beckoning the party over under his little curved roof. [00:07:58] Speaker C: I'll walk over there but well paint like. Well if I notice it. Is it. Is it that obvious? [00:08:05] Speaker A: Sorry, is what that obvious? [00:08:06] Speaker C: old Vic beckoning us over. [00:08:09] Speaker A: Oh yes. [00:08:11] Speaker G: Hey ye there! [00:08:13] Speaker A: And he points right at you. [00:08:15] Speaker G: Me fishsticks! [00:08:17] Speaker C: Okay. Then I walk. I maintain eye cat contact on the circle and then I walk over like a slow walk over. [00:08:25] Speaker F: I'm going to tell Steve. You will help me retrace your steps so we can find what we - what you lost. And then I follow Beleg. [00:08:36] Speaker D: You fish stick? [00:08:38] Speaker G: Ay, fish sticks come in close. [00:08:44] Speaker B: Already in close. [00:08:47] Speaker G: Everyone here watch me put my hand right into the oil. [00:08:52] Speaker A: And he dips his hand directly into the boiling oil and retracts a fish. [00:08:58] Speaker G: Fish stick right here for you breakfast. [00:09:02] Speaker C: How'd you do that? [00:09:04] Speaker G: Oh, my hands are destroyed anyways, aren't they? [00:09:07] Speaker F: Look here. [00:09:09] Speaker A: And he holds up his hands. Not only are they calloused from being dipped in boiling oil, but they're all gnarly. They look like they've been put in some sort of a torture device. [00:09:20] Speaker C: So you were magic user too, eh? Aye. [00:09:25] Speaker G: And here's me favorite fish stick. This one here made of the core tuna [00:09:32] Speaker A: and Beleg, as you hear your words come out of your mouth, they are not about magic users. The words coming out of your mouth are about fish sticks. [00:09:44] Speaker C: Ah, so you're a fishstick user. [00:09:48] Speaker G: That's right. Keep on talking. Me lads we're talking about fish sticks. Don't you see? [00:09:56] Speaker A: And as you hear these words coming out of his mouth, party. [00:10:00] Speaker G: There's another set of words underneath them. [00:10:03] Speaker A: And he's answering your question. [00:10:05] Speaker G: Beleg ay. That's right. I was lucky to escape the beginning of the Goblin Wars. They sent me to the wizards guild, me rich noble dwarven parents, to become a magic user eh [00:10:21] Speaker A: And just as his sentence trails off, you hear over those words 'right into the oil me hands go!' And you feel guys like you are in some sort of strange magical spell sphere. Can everybody roll an Arcana? [00:10:41] Speaker C: I don't think its going to be very good. [00:10:44] Speaker F: Four natural total of three. [00:10:47] Speaker B: 17 for Zozo. [00:10:49] Speaker E: That's a good nine for Steve. [00:10:51] Speaker A: Oh, nat 20. [00:10:53] Speaker C: Oh yeah. I know this. [00:10:58] Speaker A: 15. Yeah. 14. Zozo. 14, rook. [00:11:01] Speaker B: Okay, yeah. 17. [00:11:02] Speaker G: 15 anybody. [00:11:04] Speaker A: 15 and over. But especially Kaitoa leading the way. You have heard of this spell and it is called the confident conversation. [00:11:14] Speaker D: I know this. [00:11:16] Speaker A: What this spell does. As you hear two layers of conversation come out of Old Vic's mouth, he looks at you, Kaitoa, and says [00:11:26] Speaker G: This spell does was very useful in the Goblin Wars. You see, when the scrying to find the battle plans, it seems like you're talking about mundane things. See, it's a counter for scrying. [00:11:42] Speaker D: Yeah, I understand. [00:11:44] Speaker A: And just as he finishes the sentence, you hear him say [00:11:50] Speaker G: A fish stick, so good me tummy. [00:11:53] Speaker A: And you understand, Dr. Zozo. And as well. Sorry, who was 15? [00:11:59] Speaker E: Me, Rook. [00:12:00] Speaker A: Totally. Yes, you. With your knowledge of the Goblin wars, you would know that this is some custom spell This is some spell that was invented at the Wizards Guild by the Wizards Guild halfway through the Goblin Wars. This is an espionage counterspell. And you are confidently talking now under all kinds of protection. And Old Vic gives you a wink, Rook. And you a wink, Zozo. And you a wink, Kaitoa. [00:12:32] Speaker C: I would like a wink as well. I also rolled a nat20 on that. [00:12:36] Speaker G: I'll tell you what. Put your hands in me boiling oil there, Elfman, and I'll give you a wank. [00:12:45] Speaker D: Better wink me off. [00:12:48] Speaker G: I'll give you a wank. [00:12:50] Speaker C: I do it. [00:12:51] Speaker D: I'm expecting a good wank. [00:12:54] Speaker G: Oh, what are those? Those are the brass healing gauntlets. Don't put those in oil. He's got the brass balls. [00:13:06] Speaker C: I pulled them back. [00:13:07] Speaker G: Oh, those are a tool of the Wizards Guild. Jebda herself forged them, they say. At the same time as the brass Towers. [00:13:17] Speaker B: Are we still talking about the brass balls? [00:13:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:13:20] Speaker G: Ay, ay, Zozo. Aye. The brass balls are the observer balls. You shot one into the ocean. But I'm talking about them brass gauntlets. Jebda herself made them. Same time she helped make the towers. Where did you come by them? [00:13:43] Speaker C: A merchant in Polb [00:13:46] Speaker D: At the same time Brass Towers made these gauntlets? How about this brooch of the Twin Towers? [00:13:57] Speaker G: It's a lucky thing you have that. See, it could be a way in to Kozzem. Who gave it to you? [00:14:08] Speaker D: Someone we know... [00:14:10] Speaker C: A noble? A bit of an emissary. [00:14:14] Speaker G: a noble or a noble emissary? The Wizards Guild and the noble faction, they're in bed together. Ye see, old Vic here, I only stuck with them as long as I couldn't compromise me morals no longer, eh? I'm just a simple dwarf from Rom, in Northern Kamba, I was lucky to escape the Goblin Wars. But what will you have me answering? Are ye now under me confident conversation spell? It lasts 10 minutes. [00:14:49] Speaker E: Are you our new Micky? [00:14:53] Speaker G: where's yer pin? [00:14:56] Speaker C: Ah, I'll flash the poison scepter pin. [00:14:59] Speaker E: Oh yeah. [00:15:01] Speaker G: Is that the blue pin or the emerald pin? I can't see. I got oil in my eye. [00:15:08] Speaker E: Steve throws out the yellow pen. [00:15:11] Speaker G: Oh, two of you. They're putting the Scepter back together, eh? [00:15:17] Speaker C: They've got Micky. [00:15:19] Speaker G: Three of you. You construct man. You fairy face and feather light Doctor, there, what are you doing here? [00:15:30] Speaker F: I came here to avenge my brother. [00:15:33] Speaker G: Where ye from there, furry face? [00:15:36] Speaker F: I'm from the plains. [00:15:38] Speaker G: There are no more plains. Twas the fireball, eh? The big fireball that ended the Goblin wars. Destroyed your lands. [00:15:48] Speaker F: Then you know why I must hunt the Wizards Guild. [00:15:53] Speaker D: My hammer, it's swinging. [00:15:56] Speaker G: All hammers are swinging for the Wizard's Guild. But I'll tell you what. None shall pass Mr. Grist. [00:16:07] Speaker C: We'll pass Mr. Grist. [00:16:09] Speaker G: Have you talked to the halfling fortune teller? Have you? Yep. [00:16:14] Speaker C: We know all about Mr. Grist. [00:16:16] Speaker G: What you get there, pointy ears? [00:16:20] Speaker C: Got a little green stone. [00:16:22] Speaker G: That's the material he's made of. [00:16:25] Speaker E: Ah. [00:16:27] Speaker C: That's good to know. You're a lot less cryptic than old Telltales. [00:16:33] Speaker F: Please stop saying her name. [00:16:35] Speaker G: She's got a deck of cards. [00:16:38] Speaker A: Joe Hawk, can you roll a constitution Saving throw at the mention of the delicious halfling. [00:16:46] Speaker G: You know. You know what blinded most of the halflings? [00:16:49] Speaker F: 23. [00:16:51] Speaker A: You're lucky. at this point you are dominating your urge to dash away from the fish stand. Do you have some fish instead? [00:16:59] Speaker A: I do. You devour like eight times the amount of fish that a gnoll should. Stop saying her name, please. As I stuff my face. I'm gonna have to talk about her for just another second of exposition here, gnolly. So look here. Do you know why the halflings are blinded. [00:17:21] Speaker F: Steve has some tasty. I've got some tundra Gorp. I just kind of like palm up to the Gnoll. Hope you like juniper. They're really tasty and delectable. Well here, If you saw mama tellfate, you'll know she's blind. That's why the Gnolls and the Halflings are very similar. Many of the little halfling children looked up at the big fireball in the sky. They're blinded. Have you ever met another old halfling child, looked up at the sky, when the big fire bullet destroyed the land? Some say it wasn't a fireball. Some say it was Alchemy. And he looks at you, Dr. Zozo. Alchemy. [00:18:22] Speaker G: Ay? Not bat guano, but something new. I haven't heard of any kind of alchemy that could do that Not Yet. I mean. I mean, theoretically, I guess it could be possible. Anything's Possible. Ay, half orc, Anything is possible, eh? Well, it stopped the wave of heat seeking troglodytes that were sweeping across Baheru, eh, Didn't it, eh? The great Fireball... Troglodytes. [00:18:55] Speaker G: Aye. Oh, they'd taken over the goblins, unleashed them troglodyte armies. And there was nay stopping themm. And so now the wizard guild sit on their laurels, sayin they're the protectors of this age. Taking all sorts of kind of liberties with what can be cast and what cannot Look at me hands. And he dips them in the Oil. Can you teach us the confident conversation Spell? Aye. Are some of you leveling up? Are some of ye charters? Ye look sort of a little bit more levelly than when ye first came here four days ago. I'd love to learn this Spell. You'll have to spend a day with me. And guys. Now, as the confident conversation spell begins to wear off, he looks at all of you. What else would you know? Only one more day to fill the Circle. Um, yeah. Those who asked what, what they should expect when they when they arrive at the Wizard's Guilds. [00:20:11] Speaker B: What the best way to get in undetected would be once we're. Once we've transported there Ye may have heard a little children's rhyme, eh? There's three circles. One in the peak where the wizards always seek. Then there's one halfway up the middle of each tower where they congregate at the noon hour. And then you got the circle in town right there. Where the children go, to and fro. And the custodian, there, he'll tell you is only things coming and going there. We never seen a direct transport to the Towers. Well, I didn't write that down fast enough. So does the, so the three circles are transportation Circles. [00:20:59] Speaker B: Aye. But the transportation circle here only goes to one of them? Aye, it's the High Magi Rube, the Cube. Who controls transportation by scroll or Incantation. Who is It? What was saying the fancy fairy language there? The elfish speak and they summon themselves into the circle. A couple days Yon? That was me. I was given a Scroll. You can transport yourself if you have a caster with the brass balls to do it. If you're not afraid of getting caught half inside a wall. Rube knows the way to do it without accident. That's why they employ the Caretaker. Very precise. [00:21:49] Speaker A: I have been known to Teleport. [00:21:50] Speaker C: Eh? [00:21:52] Speaker B: Done it once or twice. [00:21:54] Speaker G: Really? Well, if somebody could teach you the incantation, maybe you could go on your own instead of waiting for their own little fancy transportation to suck you and the barrels up. I see you're filling the circle with more fish and crab than Maw's ever produced. Look at those furs. Look at the baskets. Its a fine Tariff. Who knows the incantation? [00:22:21] Speaker G: I know the Incantation. Oh, furry face Does. Does one Incan- Will you just take us back to is where did you come? Like where was your starting point? Johawk So we need the incantation to go to the Wizards Guild Kozzem then. [00:22:41] Speaker F: I don't have that one. If you know the incantation and you know where you're going and it's a permanent circle, you've got the ingredients for a successful Transportation. Then we're good. Hey, lookey that, me spell's wearing off. Oi! A fish on a stick! Old Vic's fish on a stick! [00:23:05] Speaker A: And he pushes his hand right into the oil there and gives you each all two fish on a stick for good measure. [00:23:15] Speaker C: Oh. Beleg bites into. [00:23:17] Speaker F: One. I eat them immediately. Just inhale. [00:23:19] Speaker C: Them. How are They? Beleg? You burn your mouth. You take 1d4 scalding. [00:23:25] Speaker C: Damage. [00:23:27] Speaker A: Fuck. You. You can Roll. I'll let you. [00:23:32] Speaker A: How much do I take? Johawk? Your gnollish jowls are well suited for the tearing of flesh and the scalding of jowls. So you're fine. [00:23:41] Speaker C: Oh. Okay. Two damage. [00:23:43] Speaker D: Yep. [00:23:46] Speaker A: He doesn't know how to eat oil. You know, there has been now at the end of the sort of fourth day, the usual fire at night. And you know, now as Maw is sort of winding down, it is... tomorrow. You guys want to teleport there now? In the middle of the night? I think Zozo wanted. To talk. To the party about checking out the mimic chest before we go. Yeah, I'm down to go check out the mimic. [00:24:18] Speaker B: Chest. Maybe do it at night when. When there isn't any fishermen. [00:24:22] Speaker C: Around. Yeah, Beleg is definitely invested in it because of the Elvish Nature of the corpse. [00:24:29] Speaker B: Inside. Yeah, and Zozo has to be there because it was damaged. And I think she's probably the only one who can prevent it from. [00:24:39] Speaker A: Exploding. Dr. Zozo, as you and Beleg and the party now regard the town here, pretty much turning in for the night. It is a perfect night, actually. The moons are now obscured by. [00:24:54] Speaker F: Cloud. I think we should cover ourselves in fish when we go into the barrels. So that way if they open up the barrels, they'll see the. [00:25:06] Speaker C: Fish. Well, we just like. If you know the incantation, we can get. [00:25:11] Speaker F: There. I know the incantation to get here. I don't think. I don't think the incantation works to go to the wizards. [00:25:17] Speaker C: Guild. No, I think it does. [00:25:20] Speaker B: Yeah. Said it did. [00:25:21] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. So it's a circle. So if you use it here, it'll take you to the wizards guild. And then if we use it the wizards guild, it'll take us to Iz and then. And like it's. It's. It's a cycle. So I think we can get there on our. [00:25:36] Speaker B: Own. Or. Or you might be able to just go wherever you want as long as you know where you're. [00:25:42] Speaker C: Going. [00:25:43] Speaker B: Yeah. Based on what he. [00:25:45] Speaker C: Said. Yeah, I think we got it. So I think we should wait till like a do a middle of the night. [00:25:51] Speaker B: Teleportation. We could send just like send Steve as a. [00:25:56] Speaker C: Scout in the middle of the. [00:26:00] Speaker B: Night. But he's very. [00:26:05] Speaker E: Sneaky. I am very sneaky. I do have one thing I. [00:26:09] Speaker B: Like an advanced party and then the rest of us come in. [00:26:12] Speaker F: Barrels. There is one thing I'd like to do in the night before we head out there. But that's a feasible plan, is. [00:26:22] Speaker C: It? Eat. [00:26:23] Speaker F: Telltales. I won't confirm or. [00:26:27] Speaker D: Deny. So if we do send one. [00:26:35] Speaker C: Barrel to be received, I think we just like. I think we should all go at. [00:26:40] Speaker B: Once. [00:26:41] Speaker F: Yeah. I think it's a bad idea to split us. [00:26:43] Speaker A: Up. I. [00:26:44] Speaker C: Agree. I think we all go at once. And we go in the middle of the night. And if there are people monitoring the circle of the wizards guild at all times, then deal with. [00:26:55] Speaker D: That. But with the Grist. Yeah. [00:26:58] Speaker C: Grist. But grist has eyes everywhere. Grist is like the gargoyle. [00:27:03] Speaker D: Master. [00:27:04] Speaker A: Yeah. My lords, Zam is coming out of his shack. It seems like he is up late. I don't mean to overhear you, but it sounds like. Did you say you're. [00:27:23] Speaker D: Going? Yeah, we were thinking about. [00:27:26] Speaker A: It. Did you say something about. [00:27:31] Speaker D: Monitoring? We're worried about Grist receiving the. [00:27:38] Speaker A: Shipment. You need somebody to draw you a [00:27:43] Speaker B: Picture? Draw a picture of. [00:27:45] Speaker A: What? Well. [00:27:47] Speaker C: Kozzem Oh, I would love a. [00:27:50] Speaker B: Map. [00:27:51] Speaker A: Yeah. Party. As you are making your way down the zigzag staircase, this whole conversation, you know, this strategic analysis of what your options are. You've now reached the bottom of the zigzag staircase, cutting to the cliff. And there is underneath the dock slung your. [00:28:12] Speaker C: Chest. Beleg snaps his fingers and goes, oh, hello, mimic chest. It's been a couple days. You would not believe the fish that I filleted this week. Magnificent. Absolutely magnificent. Oh, I'm so good at. [00:28:32] Speaker A: It. Well, it looks from behind the sort of, you know, kelp camouflage that you left. And it's little brass eye blinks. [00:28:40] Speaker C: Happily. All right, now open. [00:28:45] Speaker A: Up. And inside is a huge layer of blue fog sort of just resting around this strange sarcophagus that like, [00:29:00] Speaker D: Beleg holds his breath. Send the mimic chest through the. [00:29:04] Speaker A: Portal. Zozo, you are immediately alerted to the fact that it seems like this thing has kind of encased itself in a bit of ice. But there's still an improper seal. There's still a. [00:29:16] Speaker B: Rupture. Yeah. Zozo goes in and tries to patch it up like a bit of seal skin from the. [00:29:23] Speaker A: Town. Oh, some exotic patchwork [00:29:26] Speaker C: Fish Guts. It's protein. [00:29:27] Speaker A: Coagulate. Oh, I love. [00:29:29] Speaker B: It. Yeah. Zozo casts [00:29:32] Speaker A: Mending. Beleg, can you roll charisma as you assure this very dangerous pet the party is cool. That's a 19 plus. [00:29:47] Speaker A: 7. Well, thank God, because the eye was flitting around between Kaitoa and Johawk and Rook and Steve, and sort of hungrily looking. Oh, don't worry, Mimic chest. These are just my fans. They. They follow me everywhere and they. They love everything I. [00:30:06] Speaker B: Do. Let. [00:30:07] Speaker C: Them. Let them regale. [00:30:09] Speaker F: Us. [00:30:10] Speaker A: Can I sneak off? Yes, you can. Now make your way up the staircase away from the party. In this moment, that Beleg is being the more pompous Beleg gets, the more the mimic chest believes he is Pompous Pimpernel. So good. [00:30:24] Speaker C: Job. [00:30:25] Speaker F: Yeah. My stealth is 18 plus two for a dirty. [00:30:29] Speaker A: 20. Oh. [00:30:30] Speaker E: Boy. [00:30:31] Speaker A: Okay. Hey, party, can you roll group perception, please? Quick group. [00:30:34] Speaker C: Perception. [00:30:35] Speaker A: Oh, your feathers are frozen. You have taken all of this. Frost damage on your feathers. You have taken 14 frost. [00:30:48] Speaker C: Damage. [00:30:49] Speaker B: Holy. But it was from my perception. [00:30:52] Speaker A: Roll. Yep, but your seal skin plug is gonna. [00:30:55] Speaker C: Work. All. [00:30:56] Speaker E: Right. Steve's perception, how much damage was. [00:30:59] Speaker A: That? [00:30:59] Speaker E: 14. Steve's perception roll was 19 plus. [00:31:06] Speaker A: 10. You see the gnoll about halfway up the. [00:31:11] Speaker C: Staircase Rooks was 18 plus. [00:31:15] Speaker A: 1. 19 rook. You are at the moment possessed by the absolute ridiculousness of Beleg's. [00:31:24] Speaker C: Act. Beleg's role was very much like he was trying to maintain an act and was. Rook three plus. [00:31:33] Speaker E: Four. Rook's gonna roll his eyes. Kaitoa gets a. [00:31:38] Speaker A: 21. Your attention is caught between the fact that it seems like Steve is looking up towards the cliff staircase. And it seems like the mimic chest has a bit of a reaction going on. And Zozo is getting blasted with frost. And Beleg is acting like a complete noble douchebag. And he's got his like purple asshole doublet. [00:32:02] Speaker C: On. Oh, the asshole doublet is. [00:32:05] Speaker A: Real. Yeah. What does the party do, Zozo? I mean, at the moment you could close, you know, you could request for the mimic chest to be closed. It seems like you have at least solved the. [00:32:16] Speaker B: Rupture. [00:32:18] Speaker C: Do. Do you want to investigate further or do you just want to go now. [00:32:22] Speaker B: Zozo? I think we should investigate. [00:32:24] Speaker E: Further. So you want to know. [00:32:26] Speaker A: More. Sweet. What are you guys gonna roll. While they're thinking? What are you. [00:32:37] Speaker F: Doing? I'm sneaking off to a familiar. [00:32:41] Speaker B: Yurt. [00:32:42] Speaker E: Okay. Oh, he's going to eat. [00:32:44] Speaker D: Them. No, I'm following. [00:32:46] Speaker A: Him. Okay. And Kaitoa, you will be just steps behind the gnoll as he approaches the yurt. And as you approach the yurt. [00:32:55] Speaker C: Oh Beleg doesn't know he's. [00:32:56] Speaker A: Gone. It is. [00:32:57] Speaker F: Open. I'm gonna look. [00:32:59] Speaker B: Around. [00:33:00] Speaker A: Look. Immediately you get the scent of. [00:33:02] Speaker E: Halfling. Smells. [00:33:05] Speaker F: Delicious. I look around sneakily with a 9 perception. Do I see anyone following me? [00:33:10] Speaker A: There is the smell of halfling. There's the smell of fish. And there you do. It's unmistakable. You hear a sort of stomping on the cold. [00:33:21] Speaker D: Ground with that perception roll. Does he know I'm. [00:33:26] Speaker A: There? I'm afraid so, yeah. You're momentarily aware of the fact that probably you've been pursued by giant Kaitoa. But now you're consumed with the fact that inside this yurt indeed is the halfling fortune teller. She has lit her candles. She's sitting there with her palms out and says, I draw three cards. I'm gonna make a constitution saving. That's a natural 2. Oh no. And Kaitoa, you see Johawk enter into the yurt and you are probably 20 paces behind. So as you come in here, you see him now sort of stalking closer and closer. And that's where we're gonna quickly pause that. And then party down at the dock. You said you were rolling a combination of skills. What were those skills on the little, there's like a little porthole, It's like ET's sarcophagus. It's like a little freezer. And there's a little window you can see. [00:34:37] Speaker C: In. I was hoping to roll. [00:34:40] Speaker B: Insight. I'm gonna roll. [00:34:42] Speaker E: Investigation. Steve is. [00:34:46] Speaker B: Perceptione. [00:34:47] Speaker C: Okay. I got. [00:34:49] Speaker F: 16. [00:34:50] Speaker B: Brooke. I also got. [00:34:51] Speaker E: 16. [00:34:52] Speaker C: 21. Oh, there you. [00:34:54] Speaker E: Go. For. [00:34:55] Speaker C: Investigation. And that's gonna be a. [00:35:00] Speaker A: 11. Investigation insight. Okay. Rook, what in particular would you be thinking about as you look at this clearly elven. [00:35:09] Speaker C: Figure? Just to see if I see any markings or writing or anything that I would remember from my. [00:35:21] Speaker A: Upbringing. And markings? Education, markings. Well, for one, this is an Elf. The characteristically very dark olive brown skin of an elf with very light hair. There do seem to be some sort of ceremonial trinkets around the neck of this person in the casket. But, you know, beyond that, it's a fucking Elf. Do I notice or recognize, I guess, any of the clothes that they're donning? The ceremonial or the. [00:35:57] Speaker A: Trinkets? No. They are foreign to you. Next was Zozo. Rolling Investigation. Right. Also. [00:36:07] Speaker B: Investigation. [00:36:09] Speaker A: Okay. You also see the pure Elvish race. This is no half elf. As you look around, maybe the casket as well. You determine this is that freaky deep gnome tech. Somebody is encasing the body in some very high tech cryogenic. [00:36:31] Speaker B: Technology. Can I tell, like how old it might. [00:36:34] Speaker A: Be? The technology itself. This seems recent. This seems very recent that this person, Dr. Zozo, MD has been putting - put into stasis. They're not dead. They're alive. Who's next? I guess it's my perception, a. [00:36:55] Speaker A: Visual examination and sort of same question. What specifically is Steve interested. [00:36:59] Speaker E: In? Any kind of sigils, any kind of writing, any kind of pictographic kind of kind of. [00:37:11] Speaker A: Stuff? Well, as you try to determine some of the runes on the sort of necklace that this person is wearing. You don't speak or read Elvish, do. [00:37:20] Speaker E: You? I sure. [00:37:21] Speaker C: Do. Well, there goes my. [00:37:24] Speaker A: Turn. [00:37:25] Speaker D: Steve. No one. [00:37:28] Speaker A: Cared. You see that there is, or rather there are elvish runes on the necklace and they seem to be, well, an Address. [00:37:44] Speaker E: Hmm. What. [00:37:46] Speaker A: Exactly? [00:37:48] Speaker E: Moy. I know where that is. To R.S. And as you look more at this necklace, you realize, you know, it's not necessarily a necklace, but more of A collar? A thin, silvery gold Collar. Are there any markings that could possibly relate to the collars that we wore at one point? No. Very different indeed, these items. And yet, you know, as you look in. And what was the final person rolling on that. [00:38:28] Speaker C: Beleg? I rolled a 16 and beleg. [00:38:35] Speaker A: You look over Steve's shoulder, what would you. [00:38:37] Speaker C: Know? Well, obviously, I'd want to read the necklace as well. Or the collar. Yada, yada. Do I know RS at. [00:38:47] Speaker A: All? You do not. [00:38:49] Speaker C: Beleg I don't recognize RS. Okay. Yeah. The thoughts that went through my mind were to make sure it was a real elf. See if there are any markings on it to identify. [00:39:02] Speaker E: It. We. We all know that this elf is actually. [00:39:06] Speaker B: Alive? Then, yeah, Zozo would have mentioned. [00:39:11] Speaker A: It. Well, Beleg your heart begins to beat in your chest because it does. You know that this is El, the Last Elf. [00:39:27] Speaker E: This is the last Elf. I know who this is going to. You know who RS. [00:39:33] Speaker E: Is? Yeah, we go way back. RS, RS was my. My. [00:39:42] Speaker A: Mentor. Fucking simple Rick Well, Steve, it looks like we're gonna get a hell of a lot more acquainted with your past. It's Rick. [00:39:56] Speaker A: Sanchez. It's Rick. [00:39:58] Speaker D: Sanchez. It's. It's Richter, actually. Yeah, I've heard. I've heard the. [00:40:18] Speaker F: Name. Richter. [00:40:19] Speaker C: Belmont? Well, we got some to do after we finish up at. [00:40:25] Speaker D: Sanchorez? Goodness Lord Son. Well, Beleg, what's more, as you exchange those words with, you know, Steve and Rook and Zozo, you know this revelation: Not in the Feywild Fold. You know, the big revelation to you, of course, is that it does seem like something is afoot. Because the last elf should not even be outside of the Feywild Fold. That is your home, Beleg, you are shocked. Good God. And friends and adventurers, that is where we are going to have to leave you tonight on, like, double cliffhanger. Well, Kaitoa, the only RS you're seeing is the Rear Side of Johawk. And the tiny frame. The tiny frame of Tell. Telltale Mama. Telltale is. Is now obscured by Johawk. You cannot tell what's going on. All you can tell is that the. The gnoll is going directly towards the fortune teller. And Johawk even steps on one of the candles as he just walks towards her. I'm sorry guys. Hey, I didn't even get my fortune told yet. Oh. [00:43:20] Speaker A: No. Always missing. [00:43:21] Speaker F: Out. I was about to say. You guys can't even kill me because if we want to do the plans early, I'm the one that knows the Incantation. Double Jeopardy. You must be kept alive. [00:43:43] Speaker F: I think he's AFK No, I'm here. [00:43:45] Speaker G: Oh okay? Were you talking about me? Away For Killing? [00:43:48] Speaker F: I should be
